Although my son and I didn't spend very much time in our room, the time spent there was very relaxing. We enjoyed the quite atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable. A microwave would have made the rooms much better. We would stay at this hotel again when visiting Memphis.

The staff. The room. The staff was very friendly, but the room was very weird. They had a high-def TV in there which was weird but cool. The doors looked old and I felt unsafe in them and the bathroom felt dirty even though it was clean.

The online travel site needs to take this hotel totally off their list of hotel options in Memphis. When we checked in the front desk couldn't figure out how to access our reservation. Once they did and we went to our rooms, one of them had a maintenance person living in it!! The replacement room was so dirty. The bath tub wasn't clean, the carpets were so dirty your socks turned black within a few steps. Our rooms had broken sink faucets, broken showerheads, broken toilet seats, broken door latches. The list can go on and on. The cable TV was hit and miss. A few of the channels worked but most were fuzzy at best. Smoking rules were not enforced. Just STAY AWAY fromo this hotel. There is a nicer Best Western a block up the street.

We wanted to stay in a good hotel and still be on a budget. So, we booked a room here because our experience has been good in general with Comfort Inn. So, we landed in Memphis and the hotel picked us up for free from the airport. Great start, saved 25 bucks for taxi right there. Hotel was away from the neighborhood, where most of the other hotels were. It was a relief because the area seemed safe and quiet. We were welcomed by a nice young lady who went with us to show us where our room was, felt very welcome there. Service, Decor everything was very polished and professional. Rooms were clean and all amenities provided. The beds were very comfortable to crash in. Next thing, we wanted to head out to Graceland and they gave us some coupons for that and free shuttle drop off. We couldn't ask for more. In all, I think I loved the whole stay and our trip to Memphis was a big success and the hotel had a big part in that. We will come back to the same hotel when we come back to Memphis in November.

The Comfort Inn Memphis was upon arrival not that appealing on the exterior but after a long drive from Michigan we were exhausted. We had travreled to Memphis for the funeral of my father-in-law. We noted the dirtiness of the carpet in the hallway and the elevator. The room on the surface was made up but I noticed a distinct damp smell. We arrived approximately 4:00p.m. the family hour was to begin at 6:00p.m. The tub and shower had visible milldew stains on the grout but once again we were in a hurry and figured we make do. We also noted fruit flies in the room although we had no food. We returned late that night and prepared for the next day of the funeral. We went for the contenintal breakfast and dressed and left for the funeral. Upon our return to the room at 4:30 or 5:00p.m. OUR BEDS HAD NOT BEEN MADE, WET TOWELS WHERE THEY HAD BEEN TRASH STILL THERE THE ROOM HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED!!!! Went to the desk to complain. The desk person checked the log for cleaning and apologized that it had not been done. I asked what could be done since the staff was gone, they gave us new towels and said would have to check in the a.m. The next morning while having coffee one of the guests was on the phone and could be heard describing that her car windows had been knocked out and the contents stolen I was totally in motion to leave A.S.A.P. I packed up my daughters (2) and we left vowing never to stay at such a place again. Being from out of town I really felt taken advantage of. I knew the room was not in the $100 range but I still felt it should have been clean and cleaned during our 2-day stay. I HAVE NEVER STAYED IN A HOTEL WHERE THE ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED (AND NO WE DIDN'T PUT THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN OUT. I AM A 54 YEAR OLD MARRIED MOTHER OF 4. Due to the circumstance around the trip I was simply trying deal with the grief we were there to share.

I have never seen a comfort inn like this. I can't believe corporate allows them to use the name. The first room they gave me was never even cleaned. Then when I was walking to the second one I seen holes in the ceiling and it smelled like fruity raid. Really nasty couldn't even stay there. I checked out, got my money back and found a different hotel.

Keep away from this place. This is a homeless hotel. Smells ugly, there are broken blinds, the bathroom is dirty, the telephone is dirty and sticky. Do not consider to stay at this hotel at all.

Proximity to and view into downtown. Prices for food, refrigerator in room did not work, hotel charged for things that are normally complimentary. The hotel itself was awesome. The problem is that it seemed to try to milk money from its patrons at every possible turn. I've never been in a hotel where I felt that they were trying to get me for every dime! I felt that way this time.

Very friendly staff. The maid did not clean my room all day the first night of my stay. No clean towels, soap, make beeds, change linen, etc. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The only concern I had was that the maid did not clean my room the first night of my stay. The afternoon/night desk person was wonderful on Sunday July 13, 2008. She was wonderful and very professional. Because of her attitude and assistance I will choose Comfort Inns again.

It was convenient to the interstate and Downtown Memphis. The continental breakfast was good. The room smelled like smoke. The bathtub appeared to be dirty. The hotel was in a convenient location.It was not clean and the customer service was not that great.

Great staff. On a busy street. Decent hotel at a great price. The staff was eager to please and very helpful in providing driving directions and referring us to restaurants.

Really enjoyed the friendly staff and continental breakfast. Laundry facilities. Very nice hotel that is centrally located near shopping malls and airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is in need of a short stay and good prices.

It was close to the airport. The bathrooms were poorly maintained. Although clean, it felt dirty. The hotel was easily accessible from airport. Initially I requested another room because the bathtub appeared dirty. The second bathroom proved only slightly better. The carpet looked as if it needed shampooing. Actually, the carpet looked as if it needed replacing.

Cost and convenience. Tired decor, lack of towels, poor security, poor location overlooking cement works. This hotel overlooks a cement works and is 'tired'. The decor is poor and starting to look dirty. The hotel has poor security, almost anyone can walk in. At night, there are people just 'hanging' around outside making the whole place feel unsafe.

I can't. The shower handle was broken and plumbed backwards (hot was cold). This is a one star hotel at best. Beds uncomfortable. TV had poor reception. No internet access. Screen had been pried off the window like someone had tried to break in.

The hotel needs some work done to it. I did not like the way the wall were coming apart in the bedroom. It alright for a quick stay.

Accommodating Staff helpful and friendly. Does not look well kept. Seems to be falling apart. Since my main purpose was to sleep overnight and continue driving, it served its purpose. It had "shady" appearance and depleting condition. All in all we survived.

Liked? It was a dump. Very dirty. Service with an attitude. Shorted on all towels and amenities. Horrible.
