I really enjoyed the scenic walk from the hotel to the main lobby for berakfast every morning. It has a great location within walking distance to Coligny Beach and Coligny Plaza.

We stayed there with our dogs for a long weekend in January and had a great time. This wasn't a 5 star hotel, but for what we paid it was very nice and in a great location. We will definately stay there again when we want to visit the beach with our dogs. I didn't notice any smells, or dirtiness that others have complained about. The room seemed nice and clean. It was a little older in style, but it was comfortable and clean and thats what matters most to me. If you are going to visit the beach this is a good location within walking distance of one of the main beaches on Hilton Head Island.

Was there something missing that would made your stay more enjoyable? Yes when I booked my resevation, I booked a room with two dbs beds, sofabed,balcony, view pool.when I got there my room had no sofa,fridge nor a microwave and the lady charge me ten dollar a day to have a sofabed,fridge,microwave in the room. The bathroom had no airconitioner & elevater.I stay at the Park Lake hotel, in Hilton Head and got a studio room for less price than what this one charges. This had no jacuzzi and when I asked the front about one they said we can use one down the road for seven dollars a day. This hotal advertised thing they don't have. The pool was dirty and the breakfast was to far away from the hotel. We had no control of how cold we wanted the room at, it got very stuffy and hot at nite when your trying to sleep. I wouldn't recomend this to anyone, I would tell them about the other hotel we stay at. The park lane had great breakfast,mini golf, great pool & a jacuzzi with no charge and they didn't charge me extra for fridge,sofabed, microwave. I had a kitchen,w/ cooking supply to cook with and room upstair with tv,bathroom, for a cheaper price, I wish I had just booked that instead of this one. I was really disapointed on comfort inn,there usally nice place to stay at, but not this one. I had never stay at a place that charges for this and that. It also said free internet, couldn't get on the internet with my laptop.

It was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was tasty! I was in a smoking room. It smelled, of course, like smoke. It was better than I thought it would be because I was a bit skeptic from reading some of the reviews other people. It was comfortable and clean and it was in a great location also. Breakfast was also quite tasty.

I was awaken at midnight from rowdy neighbors. I called the front desk and they did quiet them down. Then I closed the door to the bathroom because of a running toilet and the door locked on me. Luckily I was able to rig it open again. The sink was clogged, the drain in the tub wouldn't stay open on its own and the iron wasn't very hot. The person who checked me out never asked me how my stay was or I would have told them. If you're looking for a cheap family getaway and don't care about a very outdated room, and noise at all hours, then this is the place for you. If you're a business traveler who needs a quiet room you should look elsewhere.

While the staff was accomodating and the location was good, the property is very old and outdated. Had we known we would have to upgrade (at an additional cost) to have a refrigerator in the room, we wouldn't have booked it. Also, there were many pets at the property and this was another unpleasant factor.

The stay was good. Hotel was quiet and good location close to beach. Cleaning service was good and timely but unfortunately our cleaning lady could not speak english. Check out was an issue. It took more than 20 minutes and my credit card was charged incorrectly twice with very large charges. We are still trying to get the credits back on my account 5 day later. Hotel is very helpful and blame it on banking system.

Price. Ease of getting to beach. If you're wanting to go to the beach front in Hilton Head do not stay here. Breakfast is in another building from where our room was. Luckily we had good weather for the walk.

Very convenient location and walking distance to the beach. Great for the price and a two night getaway. If we were staying for a few days or a week, or for a special occasion, we would stay at an oceanfront resort.

Security was excellent. I felt safe inside as well as on the grounds. Could not see the ocean from hotel balcony.

It was very quiet for most of the weekend. We had a great quiet time at the pool and the beach is close enough to walk to. We parked and car and either walked or rode bikes. The bike rental place is close, as is a few restaurants. We had a great time until the last night, when some loud rude people moved in next door and would not keep their children quiet at 11pm. I called the desk and they called their room and it was quiet after that. Very pleased. This is our third time staying here, and as always, it was a very pleasant vacation. We LOVE that we could bring our cocker spaniel. It's the biggest reason we stay here.

Beds were very comfortable. Did not like the breakfast, not enough fruit. Hotel is old and need to be refurbished. It is very convenient to everything and the room was clean. Some of the furniture was kind of old and not very stable. I would probably stay there again because of convience.

The location was good on this hotel. Just a short walk to the public beach. The hotel is less than 200 yards from the check in/breakfast area. A nice walk in the morning. The breakfast room was nice and big with outdoor/indoor tables. Many choices of food. The pool was nice. The bathroom in our room needed some TLC. Paint chipping off the walls, toilet paper holder was popping off the wall. The room smelled funny the first day....maybe bug spray.....I realize there are bugs down south and there were 2 dead ones in our glass door frame (roach and palmetto bug)....but that is part of living in the south. Hopefully we did not bring any home with us. Our room was missing an iron, but with a phone call one was delivered in a short time. Staff was continuously cleaning windows etc.in the lobby and were friendly.

This was the first time we stayed at this locoation. It was very convenient and the room was very comfortable. The continential breakfast was very nice and the staff was very helpful. We extended our stay by 2 days and plan to return at a later date.

Easy walk to beach; clean, heated pool; plenty of lights in hotel room. Shabby, run-down lobby & public areas. They are upgrading the rooms, but our room was not updated, and it showed in the shower rod hanging from the wall.
