Date of Stay: May, 2009

The room that I selected for the best rate was a handicapped room. It was quiet and fairly clean. The bed was comfortable. The room rate was under $80/N so I have no complaint there. The hotel is well located. There are many other hotels around it. Convenient for travel. The bed side light was burnt out (not checked by room attendant) for the week. My room key card had to be reswiped at the desk for two days. The breakfasts were OK but the toaster burnt toast on a setting of 1 1/2. I had a nonsmoking room but people smoked at a waiting area outside and the smoke got pulled in through the wall air conditioner.

Free cookies. Free oatmeal but no bowls! It had a bed, a TV, a dim lit bathroom and a very comfortable bed.

This motel is just off I380 and close to downtown Cedar Rapids. Easy access to the freeway and 6th Street. The room I got had a King Bed, a bit soft, Mini Refridgerator and a small microwave oven. One item worth noting is that the motel did install the extended bowed tub/shower curtain that gives greater room elbow room in the tub/shower. Each room does include wireless internet access. There is a PC in the lobby with limited internet access; available for those without a laptop. On this PC you can check your email via a web interface or confirm airline reservations. The continental breakfast that is included is on par with other Motel chains that offer a continental breakfast. Typical breakfast offers such choices as: waffles, sweet rolls, english muffins, bagels, juice and coffee.

Spacious room. Exercise room wasn't accessible due to renovation. I was awed with the spaciousness of the room and the continental breakfast was excellent.

Complementary breakfast: good selection and set up on time (we were leaving early and it was ready BY 6 am not just being set up! Nothing. Clean, helpful, pleasant staff, and great breakfast.

The location was good, close to restaurants and parks, etc. The hotel didn't have a pool. The hotel was a pretty nice hotel with comfortable beds and nice rooms. I was disappointed there was no pool, though. All in all, it was a nice hotel.

I liked the security, and the location was just far enough from the highway to keep the traffic noise down. at least one of the pillows was not clean and there was no mattress cover. The hotel was nicely located to several shopping centers and very close to down town Cedar rapids. I have stayed in that area before and like the conviences. I did hear some noises from other rooms, people walking and talking, but otherwise it was quite.

Rooms were niced sized well laid out. Elevator and halls were dark and dirty feeling. While for the price the stay was fine I probably wouldn't return as the staff were not terribly friendly and the hotel had a feeling of not being well maintained.

Renovated rooms Both of our rooms had a horrible stench, can't quite tell you what it was and it was bad. Hot water was out all day. Rooms are recently renovated but our two rooms had a bad stench.Breakfast was weak.Location is ok, not many restaurants except fast food nearby,.

The cleaning staff had a positive attitude No pool or spa on site and small exercise room had no A/C. Comfort Inn off of 33rd Ave S.E. in Cedar Radids is easy to locate. Parking was ample. Room was clean and A/C unit was fairly quiet. Breakfast was your typical high carb / low protein and fiber Continental style. Watch your time if you are going to eat. They had a small exercise room with stationary bike (small seat) and treadmill. Room had no A/C. Also, needed cash and the clerk about laughed when I asked if I could write a check for cash (where or where has the old protocol gone?) Overall experience was a "two-star" and I would stay at this motel again.

Location Wallpaper hanging off the wall. Smoke smell. Not a very modern hotel. The wallpaper was falling off of 2 of the 3 rooms I rented. All smelled terribly of smoke.
