The comfort Inn was very comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Since we were first time visitors to Portland, we had many questions and they were quick to help. This Comfort Inn was close to the rail service so in a couple of minutes we could be at the rail station for a quick ride down town. I would recommend this motel to others and will go back if and when the opportunity presents itself.

I had never stayed at a Comfort Inn and have little experience with motels in general. So this place may be "standard" to its category and I am not aware. We found it to be in an excellent location since we needed easy access to/from the airport and to the downtown. It is just off the freeway but quiet, very clean, and comfortable. The bed was very nice and though we missed the complimentary breakfast, it looked fairly decent (waffles, cereal, coffee, teas, juices - hey, it's included so that's not bad). The front desk people were friendly and helpful. It was 4 pm and I asked if it was too late to go to the Japanese Gardens. She immediately got on line, informed me they closed at 7, told how quickly I could get there, and printed directions in a flash. Her input was the deciding factor that encouraged us to try to go and we were so glad that we did. The pool was nice enough and the jacuzzi very hot! I would recommend this place to couples, singles, and families.

Located just off 82nd Street, we were close (but not TOO close) to the airport, and to our friends' home on 57th. There are 2 gas stations close by, and a grocery store just down the street on Sandy. Clean hotel, nice rooms, nice lobby, helpful staff. Covered parking available (free!).

Clean and spacious room. Street noise. I was supprised how large the room was. The pool and sauna were at the perfect temperature and the fitness room had good cardio equipment.

This is a great place to stay to attend Portland events. The NE 82nd Ave MAX Light Rail Station is just around the corner, and since parking is free at the hotel, you can save a lot off downtown parking fees by staying here. The staff was friendly and helpful and attentive. Free WiFi in lobby and wired Ethernet in rooms (the connection is via Integra DSL, and speed is okay, but not super fast). No charge for local phone calls, Comcast cable TV with HBO. The air conditioning is very effective (available in all rooms) and all rooms have mid-sized refrigerators (don't worry, they're quiet) microwaves and coffee. Free USA Today (coin-op outside for real newspaper). The free "enhanced continental breakfast" is good, but there is not nearly enough seating in the breakfast room given the size of the hotel. Also, breakfast ends promptly at 9am so don't sleep in too late. Contrary to other reviews on this site, there IS a publicly accessible computer in the lobby (though it doesn't provide much privacy for reading/writing personal email). Despite the location right next to the freeway, the double-pane windows are exceptionally well insulated, so it's very quiet. Although this property has a pool and would be friendly for children, I didn't see many children there. As a business traveler, that was a nice bonus, because it was quiet at night. I highly recommend this property and will be staying there in the future.

Clean and friendly staff. Took more than 20 minutes to check in the computer was slow. Clean and the size of the room accommodate our needs.

Overall my husband and I had a great experience here. We stayed for four nights during our vacation. Easy access to the 84 highway. Would recommend access to a computer or business center, and more options on the breakfast bar, but overall good place to stay.

Pool and breakfast. The beds were not good. I traveled for business but with wife and child also. Easy access to downtown (8 minutes) and the train stop is 200 feet away. Not the most comfortable rooms/beds, but the breakfast and pool were nice. Portland is a great place but there are better places to stay than here for downtown or the scenic spots. We would not stay at this hotel again at this spot.

Although this hotel was nice and new(er?), we did not sleep at all. There was significant police presence and traffic--both vehicles and pedestrians. We were given a room with one bed and a hide-a-bed for a family of three, and there was no bedding for the hide-a-bed. We got up in the middle of the night and left since we did not feel safe.
Date of Stay:

Pros: Location, room amenities, hotel amenitiesCons: Old worn and torn sheets & blankets. No public use computer. Significant police presence due to MAX station issues nearby.
