Date of Stay: June, 2008

Our stay at the Comfort Inn in Erie was not a good experience. The man working the front desk was not very friendly. The room was very out-dated and the furniture had scratches all over them. On our second day we came back to the room to find that someone had gone through our luggage, with clothes thrown about, luckily nothing had been taken. The manager apologized and escorted us to a new room where he opened the door to find that it had already been given out to other guests because there was luggage, clothes, and toiletries in the room. The manager once again apologized and then set us up in a different hotel across the street. Needless to say that we will not be staying at the Comfort Inn in Erie again.

Convenient to everything I was there for, family, food, friends etc. Overall a good experience. I felt safe with my children; we appreciated and enjoyed the free breakfast. (Great waffles).

We rented a movie with system provided. After 1/4 of movie voices and picture didn't match. Called company and they ALREADY knew of problem. Before ordering movie call and ask if your room is fixed. We weren't able to watch a movie because of this. Breakfast is o.k but far too crowded.

Made reservation for 4 people - 2 beds - non smoking. When we arrived they had a king bed - smoking room. We finally did get 2 double beds in a smoking room. The room was tight and dark. It really needed a good cleaning. Everything in the room worked but the smoke smell infiltrated our clothes and luggage. The breakfast looked decent but we wanted out of there and went to a restaurant. Paid too much for a crummy nights' sleep. Staff was friendly overall.

Our room was confirmed as having 1 king bed and 2 twin. They said nothing about the twins being bunk beds. I have 16 year old twins, one of which is 6'1". He was very uncomfortable in the bunk bed. There was no room for a roll away. There was literally 6" between the king bed and the wall.The pool was nice. They got rid of the hot tub. The hotel is connected to another hotel which is connected to Splash lagoon. Across the street is the Family Sports Park. Alot of fun and not too expensive. Breakfast waffles were good if you could get an iron. I waited until one man made 6 waffles and put on a plate to take to his room.

Very comfortable, clean and an excellent location. Squeaky ceiling when people walked around on the 2nd floor. Comfortable beds, great location.

Great, convenient location. Excellent breakfast, including make your own hot waffles. However, housekeeping really failed in our room. The bathroom was not sufficiently cleaned (hairs in tub and sink ). No elevators to 2nd floor. Good place to stay only if they can get housekeeping issues straightened out. [I reported problems, so hopefully it's been addressed.]

Nice pool & fitness facilities. Hair in the Jacuzzi. For the price this was a really nice hotel. Kids loved the pool as well as the Jacuzzi in the room. I would stay there again.

We are a family of four that found ourselves visiting the Erie area unexpectedly for a funeral. The accommodations at the Comfort Inn were just what we needed and I would highly recommend using this hotel.

Good value in this gas hungry times. I have a previous shoulder injury and with no elevator made carrying luggage difficult. Temperature was perfect. Easy access to seminar and that I was to attend. Nearby Bob Evans was a plus. Only downer was no elevator.

We were upgraded to a suite. Frontdesk staff could be friendlier. It was ok If we were in a regular room we would have been less than satisfied. But we were upgraded to a suite because they overbooked. The pool was an indoor pool, but you had to go outside to get to it. It was strange. The free breakfast was sparse. Waffles & boiled eggs, and frosted flakes. But it was the only room in the city that was available so we took it.

Finally, when I complained and got the correct room. I enjoyed the whirlpool tub. Just the idea they thought they could shove us into any old room they wanted. We were very dispeased with the initial shock of walking into this room that reeked of tobacco. I have had to stay in smoking rooms before, but this one was the worst I ever encountered.

It was close to many restaurants. Beds where dirty when we checked in. Would not stay there again very unclean and the front desk was not friendly.

The breakfast was good. I called and was told pet price of $10.00 per night for my two dogs and then they charged me $10.00 per animal. Other than the misquote of the pricing for my dogs and the cot needed it was ok. I was told $10.00 for both of my dogs and then was charged $10.00 per dog. I was also told $10.00 charge for whole stay for the cot and then they tried to charge me $10.00 per day. They did credit back the extra charge for the cot though. The breakfast was very good and the rooms were clean.

Breakfast set up. Kept an imprint of my credit card. Bathroom could have been cleaner. No conditioner with the shampoo. Plenty of lighting, comfortable beds. Nice pool area but didn't use. Entrance door close to the car.

Attached to splash lagoon. Not very clean. The room was ok, the bathroom shower was dirty, we requested a late checkout but one of the maids came into our room anyway! The only good thing is it was close to where we needed to be!

It's what I expected. Too close to the highway. This is a good place for a family going to see the water park, but otherwise it's not good for business.

Clean, quiet, helpful staff, partnership with area restaurants for dinner room delivery. The parking lot was not cleared of snow/ice. Very clean, quiet and friendly staff is what makes this hotel a great place to stay.
