Upon arrival it looked like any other Comfort Inn that I have stayed at but after checking in and getting to our room we realized it was a lot nicer than expected. The rooms seemed to have been recently renovated so everything seemed new and the linens were all up to date. The decor was modern and the bathtub was clean. The downfall is that the rooms are a bit small, but for the price it was definitely a good choice to stay there. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The location was also good, very close to Pacific Beach, Sea World, and only a short trip to the Zoo. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this place for any traveler on a budget.

Clean, nice decor, comfy bed, up to date, good breakfast. Room a bit small, and pool was tiny-odd location, not bad though. Pretty decor, clean, good breakfast, location was near the freeway but not a nice or bad area. Staff was helpful. Pool was tiny, room was small.

I was not happy with my stay. The location was great and the bed was okay. The room was very small, smaller than usual because we had a corner room. Which because of the way it was built was about 2/3rds the size of the other rooms because it shared the corner with another room. When I checked out I was charged more that 20 more than the rate I was quoted over the phone, when I booked it directly with the hotel. I told the person behind the desk about the discrepancy and asked if they could contact the person that took my reservation. They basically told me, "Too Bad". There was absolutely nothing they could do, or would do. If you book a room here, get the name of the person that you talk to and confirm your amount when you check-in. Do not trust them to actually charge you the correct rate and/or respect you enough to make sure you are happy. The person behind the desk was worthless.

I really don't think I have ever stayed in a room that small before. It was clean and everyone was friendly but with the king bed in the room....which was very comfortable.... there was hardly room for us and luggage. Good thing we only had one suitcase!!!

Stayed here for 3 nights in late Sept - paid * a night. Very close to Mission Bay. There are a few eateries within walking distance. PB (Pacific Beach) and the beachfront are a short cab ride (less than 5 mins) or a long walk (20 mins) away. PB has a ton of restaurants, bars and shopping. Hotel has very close access to the 5. Downtown San Diego is a 10 to 15 min drive south, very close to everything. The staff were helpful and friendly - they even let us print out our boarding passes from their office computer. The rooms were cleaned daily, the bed was comfortable. My only complaint was that you could tell they did a lot of remodeling, but left a few little blemishes - i.e., the wood moulding around the bathroom door was rotted out at the bottom...you could tell there was prior water dmg to it. But they hid it fairly well. Overall, the room was good. I did not have the Continental Breakfast - it looked decent, though. The pool is very, very small. The area felt very safe - not "shady" at all. The Four Seasons it is not - but for the money it was perfect. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was OK, but the car rental from Fox Rent-a-car was a disaster!!! You should remove them from your list of offerings as a service to your clients. The shuttle that was supposed to run every 8 minutes kept us waiting for over 30 minutes. The line at the counter to rent or return a car was out the door and not moving at all. The counter agents (there were only two for a mob of people) were so slow that many of us gave up and left to find cars from someone else. This place was awful!

The location of the hotel is not very good. There is a lot of traffic...cars and people. Parking lot is very small. Access to elevator did not seem safe. But what really made it so bad was that TWICE we were given keys to rooms that were occupied and I had to go back to the front desk with luggage and children because there wasn't a phone in the lobby nor was there additional staff to assist us. There was also a lot of groups of young men roaming through the parking lot drinking and being loud. This is not a hotel for families, maybe students and/or singles.

The room was the size of my closet. It is not by any convienent store or food. It is noisy. They were doing work on the hotel under us so we were up every mourning at 7am. If you are planning to be at the beach, dont stay here, its not really that close, especially with traffic. Probably would be good for business travel.

It was close to getting on and off the 5 corridor. The pool is only 4 feet deep and the size of a postage stamp. The staff could be friendlier.The rooms were clean,theTV remote did not work and theAC was the nosiest, I have ever had to deal with. We needed extra towels and had to go get them ourselves and all they had were small pool towels available.

best customer service I have had at moderate priced hotel. had some mold in bathroom but overall great for the price. Great location to beach, micro and refrig in room helps keep trip costs down!

It was very clean and close to some of the attractions we wanted to see. It was difficult to enter the parking lot because you could only get in from 1 direction. It was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I really wanted to buy one of the pillows because they were so comfortable.

Good breakfast, business center. The room is kind of small for a family, no reading/writing table. This hotel is generally very good, convenient location, very good breakfast, free internet, very good business center without extra charge. The only thing I dislike a little bit is their room (2 queen beds) are small and no reading/writing table.

Staff was incredibly attentive and management was superbly professional and accommodating. Heated pool was not working properly. Rooms were clean, recently remodeled, attractive and the staff was professional and attentive.
