It was ok for the money and location. The room we got was very bad smelling so we had to move to another one which was pretty good. Overall it's not a bad hotel- just steps away from subway and across the river from Manhattan. If you don't care about view- save money. Similar hotel in Manhattan will cost a lot more.

The room smelt badly, and was in the basement.

We were satisfied. conveniently situated. Reasonable price and service

The hotel is located in Long Island City just 1 subway stop away from Manhattan. Subway stop is only 3 minutes walking from hotel. So, if you are a tourist visiting NYC -don't think twice!!!! And don't worry about the subway- it's very reliable, safe and cheap way to get to Manhattan and all attractions NYC has to offer! Also, if you decide to take taxi - it will cost you approximate 12-15$ ( depending on traffic) from Rockefeller Center to the hotel. ( For instance, our ride from Penn Station/34 street were 16 $ with tips.) Hotel had free wireless internet that worked just fine. Also, there was a complimentary continental breakfast, which included coffee, tea, hard boiled eggs, toasts, fresh pastry, instant oatmeal and selection of cereals. Hotel staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Our room was non-smoking with king- sized bed and free cable. The room was tiny though, but hey, it's New York! All in all, it was a pleasant stay and completely worth money we payed for!

The hotel is in a great location. We were less than a block from the subway and it is a busy station that connects to several lines. Getting into Manhattan took 10 minutes. Would definitely stay here again!! Staff is very friendly and helpful!

it was my third time when I was staying at this hotel. It is perfect located at the subway, only 5 dtops from times square

The business center with printer. The location of the hotel was in a not so great area. The hotel was nice inside but the room we were in was pretty small. The location is close to subways but it felt pretty ghetto.

Great Hotel in terms of cleanliness and size of bed and room. Complimentary breakfast had lots to choose from. Only bad points would be the fact that the view out of the window is horrible- looking onto a junk yard and also the hotel is right by a major road and lots of train tracks. Didn't bother me though. Also, our window let in quite a bit of noise from outside so it actually sounded like the window was open when it was actually closed- not too good if you're a light sleeper. Not a major problem for me but for someome else it might. I would stay again as it's only a one minute walk to the subway and there's another one a few more minutes down the road and it was a very comfortable place to stay and inexpensive.

Nice hotel with a great helpful staff. This hotel is about a 10 minute subway ride from Times Square. If you are budget conscious, this a perfect place to stay. Close enough to all the activities but without the Manhattan price. The neighborhood does not look overly pleasant but my wife and I felt safe. There are two different subway lines within a 4 block walk. The continental breakfast is OK but the breakfast room is very small. Consider taking the food back to your room. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are quite small which is very normal for New York. I would definitely stay here again.

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the train (one block away), I've never been disappointed in Comfort Inn, and the price. The very good: the staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional. The room (8th floor, two queen beds, nonsmoking) was very clean and comfortable. It was very easy to walk out the door, turn the corner and get on the 7 train to Manhattan. The good: They have hot coffee at all hours. Two computers and a printer for guest use. You couldn't hear other guests while in your room, or the seemingly ubiquitous drumming of children running in the halls. The okay: "Breakfast" was uninspired, but there was something there to get you going in the morning, so okay is the best I can do. The room was okay, somewhat small, but if you're just going to use your room for a sleeping/showering/pause from your day then it works well. If you want to spend any amount of time in your room you'll soon feel claustrophobic. Not good: The neighborhood is industrial Queens. It was quiet at night and I felt okay about walking the four blocks from the subway (one block away if you're going into Manhattan; four blocks when you're coming back) at about 11 pm. Dining options are extremely limited. There's a pizza/sub/sandwich joint on the way to the train, but not much else. The nearest diner was four blocks away and when we got there we found it was closed. Unfortunately, the "other" diner was 8 blocks in the opposite direction. We ate at the deli next door. Eat before you come back from the city. Bad: Your NYC view was of a scrapyard. Very ugly and you couldn't miss it when you looked out the window. Really bad.

The Hotel is quite good. It's worth my money and it was convenient to go to Manhattan and Downtown New York. It was also near the subway station so it just took a few mins walking. It was clean and tidy but a little bit dark even when I turned on all the lights in the room. Besides, the hotel's rooms was unexpectedly small and it didn't provide food service except for a small microwave for reheating guests' own food. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel is the night guard. He was unfriendly and often stared at me whenever I went down-stair and used the microwave ( I don't know why) . But generally speaking, it met my demand about a good hotel with reasonable price.

If you want to visit NYC but do not want to be overcharged with a room that you will only ever sleep/shower in, then this it. I spent 20+ hours scouring the internet for a good deal -this was it. Id come back on my next visit. You get your own batrhoom -well maintained, bed is made each day. Get your own safe, Big tv with HBO. Huge bed, which I miss! It is a 1 or 2 min walk from Queens Plaza Subway, trains come at least every 5/10 mins 24/7. Within 5 mins you'll be on 5th Avenue. The area around the hotel appears a bit rough around the edges, the view is rubbish (literally!), but my girlfriend and I stayed for 10 days and experienced no trouble from anybody, sometimes we even came back to the hotel at 2am. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. I hope the staff read this and receive my impartial appreciation.

We traveled from Germany to NYC and found this hotel by the reviews it was given. I was not disappointed. It was clean, friendly staff and felt very safe. The subway station was less than a block away and it was in a quiet area. Though the view is not great, it was only a few stops from Times Square. It was the best deal ever. Manhattan is off the charts in prices, you can stay here for a fraction of the price. I was satisfied with the breakfast. Very standard with boiled eggs, cereal, pastries etc. There are only 5 tables in the eating area so get up a decent time. We always were lucky had a table. We were allowed to keeps our luggage there while touring the area before check in. The staff was so courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and bathroom was ok. The rooms are small, but not terribly cramped. Perfect for a crashing site. There is taxi service, but it is a $25.00 fee. We had not problem purchasing subway day pass at the airport of La Guardia for $7.50. We took the M60 Bus to Astoria and then hopped on the subway to our drop off. You can see the Comfort Inn sign from the station.

After reviewing the indepth reviews of many different travelers, I bit the bullet and decided to stay here (instead of Manhatten where I always stay) because of the price and convenience to LaGuardia Airport. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel, size of room and helpfulness of staff. The location is one block from Queensboro Plaza and less than three blocks from Queen Plaza (both transportation hubs) and one subway stop away from Manhatten! The area is industrial and a bit seedy, but well-lit and I felt safe returning from Manhatten late at night. There is a good diner (open 24 hours) 4 blocks away in Court Square that served breakfast all day and a 24 hour convenience store adjacent to Queensboro Plaza. This hotel was better than another Comfort Inn I had stayed at in Manhatten and I would definitely consider this hotel again on my next visit to NYC.

Everything I needed, was available. A comfortable, enjoyable one-night stay. The stairwells seemed a bit confusing. The hotel was a solid comfortable hotel, by Comfort Inn Standards. I've stayed in many Comfort Inns and this one is certainly on par with the many other Comfort Inn locations I have stayed.

Great Hotel, Close to Manhattan, Good breakfast and clean rooms

The hotel staff was very helpful with directions to the various sites to see in NYC, including how to travel to the subways close by. The area for continential breakfast was too small to accomodate more than four families at a time and the selection was not expansive. The rooms were very clean but the view was not very pleasing out the window because it overlooked the junkyard across the street. For those people not staying in the room and exploring NYC, this is a great place to stay. It is close to the subway system and I felt safe walking back to the hotel at night with my daughter. I would stay here again if I came to NYC.

This hotel was a tremendous value. Our room was bigger than the one we had the night before in room in Manhatten yet cost only 20% of that room. The people in the place were very nice and helpful and the room was clean and convenient. If you are skittish about blue color neighborhoodsand want pristine views, this is not the place for you. Also, their parking is less than convenient. But if you're looking for an affordable place in NY to rest your head and yet close to the city, this is a tremendous value. We will stay there again.
