I went to this hotel for July 4th weekend. This place was nasty and not at all what i expected from choice hotels. The carpet was sticky, the drapes had stains all over them, the tv remote had tape on the back to hold it together. I was lucky they changed the sheets. I was told their was a continental breakfast included that was untruth. Also the pool area was not clean as well. I made the best of it didnt want to ruin my trip. The next time i visit Ocean City Maryland, i won't stay there. Stay away from this place!!

The manager and staff were outstanding.

I must say that I was skeptical about the stay at the Comfort Inn, but it was truly a delight! The best part was the incredible and unexpected comfort of the bed! I slept like a log for the two nights that I stayed there and felt great the following day. If you need a good place to stay that's away from a lot of the crowds of OC, this is definitely a great hotel to choose, especially for the rate we paid.

it was a great place to spend my girlfriend's birthday at. we got there at 7pm and from the start the front office people were very nice. Yeah it wasn't right on the beach, but in april I doubt the beach is really a number one concern. But instead they had a wonderful indoor pool. the room was awesome. Definitely would return.

My boyfriend and I needed an affordable but good quality hotel to stay in for 4th of July weekend. Comfort Inn Gold Coast had the best deal, as most places were very expensive for the holiday weekend. The room was remarkably clean and smelled great (some places have that musty moldy smell - no problems here). The bed was very comfortable (king size) with plenty of pillows. We also had a small kitchenette (small fridge and freezer, microwave, and sink). We didn't use the jacuzzi tub, but enjoyed the ample shower space with the adjustable shower head and even a clothesline to hang wet bathing suits to dry. Check in/out was really fast and easy. The location is super convenient - just a quick walk across the street to the beach. Make sure you have a "do not disturb" sign to hang on your door; we didn't have one and the cleaning staff started knocking at 9 am! The view in this particular room wasn't good, but we weren't concerned with that in the least (we were looking out over the front awning with the Comfort Inn sign) because we just needed a nice place to sleep and shower after being on the beach all day and getting ready to hit the town afterward. There is a Denny's connected to the hotel, but it was so packed by the time we arrived in the morning that it wasn't worth the wait. But there are plenty of great options for food nearby, and also a Rite Aid in the same parking lot for the last-minute items you forgot to pack. So overall, for our purposes, this hotel was GREAT and I would definitely come back and recommend to others!

What a dissappointment. upon entereing my room,, the stench was overwhelming, mildew, cigarettes, and some other mystery odor, changed to another room,, this one was also offensive, sleeping there made me physically ill,, and when we complained,, to make matters worsel. they intentionally gave us a 5'30, and a 6'00 wake up call,, when we did not request any at all. to close,, STAY AWAY FROM THE GOLD COAST COMFORT INN!!!!

The location is not that ideal, you have to cross two streets to reach the beach. Which can get annoying. The room was very clean and comfortable, and there are great restaurants all around the area.

It was used just to sleep at, sick relative in area. Nothing. t served the purpose. I just slept there, didn't spend a lot of time there at all.

I first booked this hotel, and then later read the negative reviews on this website. Needless to say, I was really concerned. I'm happy to report that my concern was not necessary, everything went just fine. The hotel was VERY clean, the elevator smelled nice, and all the staff were great. My bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked great (a little too great at times!), and our room was nice. Not brand spanking new, but not old and worn either. My only disappointment at all was the whirlpool tub. In booking the room, we had paid extra to have a whirlpool tub, and indeed the room had one, but it was very small. I am barely 5 feet tall, and the tub was not long enough for me to relax in. My husband at 6 feet tall looked comical in it. The depth of the tub was ok, it was just not long enough. We have stayed at many hotels with whirlpool tubs and this one by far was the tiniest. Had I known in advance how tiny, I would not have paid extra for the "whirlpool tub suite". As far as the walk to the beach, I could see where that could be challenging with small children, but for adults it was fine. We ended up driving most of the time anyway, one of the joys of going to Ocean City in the off season and during the week is that is was practically empty. We had no problems parking anywhere. I would recommend this hotel, and would stay there again!

I've travelled all over the US and a fair amount in Europe. I've stayed in the best hotels and I think my worst had a wedding chapel in the lobby in Vegas. I wasn't planning on staying at this place. The place I was supposed to stay fell through at the last minute. I jumped on my laptop at the local wi-fi McDonald's and hit travel agency. I found this place and at the time it was a 3 star at 40-50 a night (off-season). I rolled the dice and it turned out to be one of the best valued places I have stayed in a long time. The room was clean, adequate and comfortable. It was exactly what I needed. The little convenience store open 24-7 actually came in handy as did the guest laundry (week 2 of 3 away from home). So I guess the important part is that it was clean and wasn't a dump. It turned out to be a great place to stay.

The room was nice and overall pretty clean. However, I could tell that my blanket had not been washed as their was someone's hair on it. I think they should have extra blankets in the room.

Heating and cooling was noisy and hard to control. General condition was fair. No ice machine on my floor. Maintenance was fair. Heating and AC was noisy. Ok stay.

My husband & I stayed here at the end of August 2008, we found the rooms & bath to be very clean, no funky smells either ( we chose no smoking floor). There were coffee makers (yum luv coffee first thing in the AM) microwave and refrigerator, always a good way to save money having breakfast or lunch in your room. It was within walking distance to the beach, there was a movie theatre right next door. You could also walk to the OC library & check your email. I think this site gets confused with another Comfort Inn that is closer to the town center, but this one is way up the peninsula closer to Delaware. Calm, pleasant neighborhood too, maybe there is more activity in June & July & most of August, but we found it more relaxing to take time off after the local kids have gone back to school.

Friendly staff, comfortable king size mattress/bed. The pool and Jacuzzi water was cloudy, not as clean as one would expect. We were very impressed with the staff's acceptance of motorcycle riders. Our room was nice and comfortable. We have stayed at this Comfort Inn in the past and will probably revisit in the future!

My wife & I along with our 11 month old son just returned, first we had the worst view in the world, there was nothing out our windows except for the air units on the roof top (room #200). WHen we checked in and also when checking out they had no luggage carts available and thats not because they were busy they just didn't have any. I went to the gym and the remote was missing, machines were broke and they had no water or towels for the ones working out. If your planning on going there just plan for nothing fancy. I stay at many hotels and this is the first review I wrote.

The hotel was a big let down for the money we had to pay. Our daughters 11th birthday wasnot that great staying here. She asked why we couldn't stay somewhere else. Big dirty spoton the comforter. Had to have them bring another one up to us. The carpet was filthy, otherpeople's dirt and grime never cleaned up. The mattress's look like they have been there forabout 15 years the way they sink in the middle. Air conditioning system was totally disgusting.Anyone with allergies could not have stayed in these rooms. Toilet ran constantly, but thenagain I 'm sure they need all the guts replaced in the whole hotel. We made it not run a few times but then we figured we don't pay the water bill. The whole facility needs a whole newupdate. Cable went out in the whole place and the least they could have done is let everyoneknow when it came back on. Will we be back to stay?? Absolutely NOT!! Will use our Timeshare and fly somewhere next time and get our money's worth.
