The Comfort Inn in Fairfield, NJ was not the most pleasant experience I have encountered. The front-desk employees didn't seem to know what was going on. The hotel had a very bad odor. Each floor smelled worse than the one before it. Purely speculation, but I don't think I will be staying here again!

I liked that the room was clean and smelled fresh. Small coffee/tea cups in room and breakfast room. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling or for leisure. It is close to restaurants, stores and the highway.

Get out of your car and be ready for the overwhelming stench from the overflowing Garbage Bins located in the parking lot. Get to your room, be ready for a visually FILTHY carpet, cigarette burned curtains and old mattresses. The updated rooms consist of new TV/Dresser and bed side table. The iron was full of some type of residue, that melted and burned a brand new blouse. The staff could have cared less. If you want old, dirty and no customer service this is the hotel for you

Rooms were musty, hallways had bad odor and was hot. I believe the ac was not working correctly. There was some sort of construction going on in the next room so no one could rest. The onsite eatery had a limited menu and was very pricey. Staff that were on break stayed in the lobby. There should be a separate area where they can congregate as the lobby is really small.

Very clean and friendly service. I do not have any complaints.

Very nice hotel. Well appointed rooms. Thick and soft, yet firm mattresses for a great nite's sleep. Great complimentary breakfast: lots to choose from and delicious. Would stay again!

The room was newly furnished and well appointed. The lobby and first floor need refurbishing. An excellent value, convenient to NY with lots of nearby restaurants. Perhaps the best buy within 30 miles of NYC!

Clean and bed was comfortable. Guests were loud at times. Good value for the money. The staff was friendly. The wait at the restaurant on a Saturday night was too long, ended up going elsewhere.

The hotel was a great price and convenient to the city. The bus to NYC was outside the hotel. Didn't stay in hotel much, so was fine. Due to Rt. 46 being one way, it was complicated to get around. Hotel was ok, but nothing astounding. It met but not exceedeed our expectations. If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel that is a short 30 minutes to NYC, then this would be your place. The rooms are small, and what you would imagine from an economy hotel. We only stayed there for a couple of hours each night. All in all, I would stay again.

Pretty clean. Internet wouldn't work, TV remote wouldn't work. It was okay, but they were replacing carpet on our floor in the hallway, the TV remote wouldn't work, and we couldn't get online.

Convenient location to New York City, easy transportation to City. Decor was a little dated and worn. Overall, a good place for the money. The only real complaint was that I requested and paid for a cot to be rolled into one room an it was not. Had to follow up after we arrived back after a day in NYC, they brought it up, but no blankets.

Good selection for the continental breakfast. Comforter on king size bed was really stiff. My boyfriend and I chose this hotel because it was located relatively close to NYC. The room was very nice, clean, and besides the comforter being stiff, really comfortable. The room wasn't huge but it was a good size. I would recommend this hotel to friends and would definitely stay here again.

Very clean & comfortable. Great front desk staff. Small room - difficult to work in except at the desk. Easy to get to if you understand NJ jug-handle u-turns. The front staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean & comfortable with the sheets feeling to be of a decent quality. The bathroom was spotless. In the morning the continental breakfast was very good and beyond my expectations of such at similar establishments. I travel to this area about once every 4 to 6 weeks and will stay here again. Overall a good value for the money.

Low Price. Smell. This hotel is a low price, safe hotel with a clean bed, working fridge/microwave and a hot shower. The room and halls have a mildly unpleasant smell but they do not seem to be dirty. The breakfast was limited but tasty. I would stay here again on business but not again with my wife.

Recently remodeled. Slow high-speed internet and no hot water on Thursday morning March 6th. The hotel had the items brought to their attention but made no attempt to correct of give me any sort of customer satisfaction.

Close to NY but not too close. On a one way, minor highway. This was a great hotel to stay in as we were so close to Medieval Times (only about 15 minute drive). It was nice, clean, and comfortable. Easy to get to the highway and easy to find.

Convenient location. Elevator out of order. Stairway extremely dirty. Overpowering smell of cheap air freshener in room. Great location but I would only use this hotel again if all the others in the area are booked.

We liked the price, the breakfast, the location. Hard bed, hallway noise could be heard in room, showerhead positioning. Hotel was clean, good location, price and breakfast. Pillows and bed was a little stiff for our liking.

Customer service was very friendly. No business office. Great for the price and location.
