The Elevators were terrible. very old & very slow. Nothing has been updated since we were there 4 years ago, needs update. Also we paid way more than we should have. I heard the desk clerk offer people walking in $79 a night we paid $139 & $109? We were charged a lot more. Not right since we paid ahead of time. will not be back to the Comfort Inn.

Good room, only $5.00 parking. The hotel was across the street from mud island and one block from the trolly, $1.00 a ride or 3 day pass for $8.00 that's want we got. Trolly goes down Main St. which is closed to traffic for 8 blocks, just the trolly and a mall walkway for people. A real nice breakfast.

We arrived on date of check-in, after a 8 hours drive to the hotel. Upon check-in, I was asked to fill out additional info, including a fee that would be charged if we decided to smoke in the room. I thought this strange, but was to tired to question at this time. We had booked a smoking room. Needless to say, we were directed to the wrong room. I called down to the front desk and explained the situation. We were told that someone could come up and give us keys to another room. When maint showed up to replace the keys, we proceeded to another room only to relize that maint took both set of keys back downstaris with him. So, we had to wait again. Once finally inside, the smoking room appeared nicer than had the non-smoking one. Though the bed was uncomfortable to sleep in, and the pillows were just as worst to sleep on. As were asking the front desk personnel any questions about area attractions and eateries. Needless to say, our experience will not allow us to stay at a comfort Inn on any future travels.

Comfort Inn is easy access to I-40,just a block from the river and a block from the trolley. You could walk to Beale St if you want. It is a little long but not bad and the town seemed safe. The pool was outside on the 9th floor - not good for my daughter that is afraid of heights! Room was clean with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and internet access. Nice breakfast was available in the morning and cookies available in the afternoon.

The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was friendly. Did not like the small pillows. We asked for a room with a view, did not get it. The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and young lady at the counter was very helpful. The coffee was great. I would stay there again and I would recommend it to family and friends as the place to stay. Other than the pillows, they were too small, the room was nice.

Wish we'd been able to spend our entire trip here! Great location near Mud Island and the trolly, also an easy walk to Beale St. Very nice breakfast even when shared with at least one tour group ;>) The best beds in Tennesse, nice large well designed rooms. Didn't get to the pool but it was directly below our window and looked lovely with an awsome view of the river and bridge. Staff were lovely and so helpful. Secure parking and they let us leave the car there even after checking out, Thanks !

This was a nice hotel it was close to Beale street and me and my boyfriend walk everywhere we had to go. The staff was very friendly. The room was a nice size and very clean. I am planning to go down and stay there again for the event Memphis in May. I recommend any one going to Memphis to check out this hotel. One thing i have to say if you don't like walking the trolley in behind the hotel,Beale street and other places are not a block away you will have to walk. So bring your walking shoes i did.

from the moment we checked into Comfort Suites Downtown in Memphis! The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was a breeze. I did not mind the $5.00 per day charge for parking. It was added security for our car. We continually talkied about the view and how nice the room was for the price. I sent pix text messages to friends and family to show them our view. The continental breakfast far surpassed other hotels for choices. If we travel again I will check out the Comfort Inns. The manager and staff should be commended on their wonderful facilities.

We had 14 people in our group. We had 3 rooms that connected, and one with a BEAUTIFUL view of the river and mud island. The breakfast was not so great. Great hotel to stay in when attending events on Beale Street or Mud Island. Our view of Mud Island and the River was SPECTACULAR! The rooms were very nice, and we had three that all connected. We enjoyed our stay there very much. The staff was very friendly too.

Location. Close to our event, close to our main exit. Nice decor. Clean. Modern. Flat screen. Could tell it was renovated. Needed new tile and faucet in bathroom. Definitely will recommend to family and friends. Great location. Decent free breakfast. Nicely decorated and renovated.

Location was excellent. Hotel was very easy to find, parking was so reasonably priced and the location was outstanding. We left our car parked the entire time and walked or took the trolley (which was less than a block away) to anywhere we wanted to go. Area was also great for a morning walk or jog right across the street.

The Comfort Inn Downtown was a good value for the money. The hotel was easily accessed from the highway and has on property parking. The hotel appears to be a little run down but our (ground floor) room was clean, quiet and well maintained during our stay. Our room was an interior suite with no windows (it felt a bit dark),and our bed had a somewhat hard mattress. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel served a nice (free) continental+ type of breakfast. It is close (2 blocks) to the trolley line, River boat landing area, and Mud Island. It is a bit of a walk (about 8 blocks) to the Beale Street entertainment area but the trolley line passes by the Beale Street area and other areas of tourist interest. We would stay there again but would take another room.
