The motel was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. The only complaint we had was that they advertise an indoor heated pool. We got in the pool hoping maybe we might get used to the temperature of the water but it was very cold. When we made the reservation we asked specifically if the pool was heated and was told it was. When we travel we look for motels with heated pools so we can go swimming as a way to relax and unwind after a long day.

Clean, quiet, small not so big you have to go forever to find your room. Great location to many different sites, stores, restaurants, airport. Not overly big, nice pool even though we didn't use it we went and looked at it. A nice wooded area behind with what sounded like a creek, very peaceful.

If you are not a smoker I would absolutely stay away from this hotel. We had a free night because I travel with Choice Hotels for business. Well this was the worst experience I have had to date. There wasn't an area in the hotel that didn't smell of cigarette smoke. When we got into our room it smelled clean and it appeared to be okay. However, we woke up the next day reeking of it. Apparently there is a vent in the bathroom that let in the smoke from other rooms, but it was bad. Enough to the point of not ever staying there or any other Comfort Inn again. If you noticed they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, but it seems that it is at the discretion of the individual hotel owners. Unless you want to have your kids and yourselves smell of smoke in the morning...well the Choice is up to you.

It was nice and it was quit. I like the fact it was so close to the airport.

Convenient to airport. Accessible room was good, except bed too close to wall.

Stayed here twice. First time not very happy. Room dirty, no extra towels, very understaffed, maids smoked in breakfast area. Tried a second time 6 months later. Service no better. Still dirty. Understaffed. Wrote manager a letter twice and was ignored. Won't go back.

The hotel was nice but very isolated from any place to eat. The evening staff could not even tell me where I could go to get something to eat or which way to look. We were without transportation so walked several blocks to a grocery store. Get what you pay for but the room was nice and comfortable.

The room was lovely and the breakfast was well stocked. The noise from the airport was quite noticeable.

Our room had a musty smell. Staff was really nice, they kept the pool open later so that son could swim. Got a 20% discount from hotel for Bennigan's for dinner. Rooms need new carpet, really grungy looking. Overall Okay for 1 night.

Comfort Inn Des Moines was a nice comfortable hotel for the money. The bed was probably the most comfortable one that I have ever slept on in a motel. I wish I had it in my home!

newly renovated room had bad smell initially. Cleaning staff had not made sure in-room movie was ready to go, but Peoria and on site staff were helpful. My 1st movie choice did not track. The building is 2-story but there is NO Elevator!!

The Comfort Inn in DesMoines is across the street from the airport. It is clean. It is not very sound proof as you can hear the people above you very well. There are no resturants within walking distance. If you get a room on the lower level, there is no elevator, only stairs; however if you have a car, you can park on the lower level. I think it is only a fair value for the money. The room was large and clean. The heating/air conditioner unit was loud.

Nice, soft, comfortable bed and pillows. Broken hot tub, non smoking room smelled very smoky, and was no elevator. Probably won't stay in this hotel again, could use some updating, the breakfast could of been better the food that was served was junk food, the hot tub had animal hair in it and was plugged up with something it was awful, staff just acted like it was no big deal but I picked the hotel partly because of the hot tub.

The only complaint I have was the air condioning was not working right. Also, the refrigerator was not clean and did not work right

The hotel fit my needs. There was a small fridge, microwave, reading chair & the bed was comfy! The pool was dinky, cold temp. The hot tub was old and worn. The pool area needed upgrading. I love to swim and read. I was at a convention. I bought a book the speaker at the convention had written. There was a comfy chair in the room with good lighting for me to read with. That part and the comfy bed couldn't have been better. Going into the pool area needed updating. It looked like something from 30 years ago. The pool was very small which would be okay as long as the temp was warm enough to swim in. The pool temperature was probably only 72-75 degrees. I know because I have gone through this with other hotels. I love to swim. When I can't swim I get cranky. It is one of the best exercises there is for anyone. I would suggest they just crank the temperature of the pool up 10 degrees and everyone would be happy. Thanks for the experience! I will recommended priceline.com to everyone. I know a lot of people and am a business owner myself for 25 years.

Waffle maker with the free continental breakfast. Smelly room, funky shower. Economy room, understaffed (although friendly and helpful). Fun free continental breakfast.

Heating/cooling unit was quiet. Rooms are dumpy. Cheapest of all fixtures, carpet, bedding, beds, wireless net didn't work, clerk was snotty.

Room was clean and smelled fresh. There was a little airplane noise, but not too much. The room was small but clean and comfortable. There were two comfortable chairs. The entire hotel smelled fresh and was clean. The breakfast was simple, but adequate.
