Great location to legion field. Roomhas a very sour smell to it as if the carpet had been wet. my wife had to buy a glad candle to kill the smell. The hotel has always been one of my favorites. We just had a bad experience with room at the comfor in in Birmingham, Alabama

No ice available in ice machine.No internet available in room.Bed had a steel post sticking out underneath it, that could scratch your leg.

My overnight stay was not a very pleasant one. I was not able to sleep very well. The pillows were hard & ~ 12 inches high on the bed. The mattress was hard and very uncomfortable. There was hair in the clean towels

the hotel needs a lot of work. paint was peeling off the walls and etc. also needs better security, as we complained many times about the noise in the hallways and nothing happened.

"This hotel is filthy. Didn't look like it had been vacuumed in months. Blood was splattered on a lamp shade in our room. The room smelled bad, our power went out, no response from mgmnt. Our beds were not made upon our return & we had to request towels. The doors stuck making it hard to open. Coffee pot didn't work in the room, hadn't been cleaned. I could go on & on..."

"Small room, two very uncomfortable straight chairs, hairs on the sheets that clearly did not belong to any of our party, and the grimy lamp and hair dryer were nothing compared to the soap scum and loads of whiskers imbedded on the faucet in the bathroom. Gross was an understatement. It was a room ? and nothing more. Certainly would not recommend this location to anyone with discerning tastes. However, the nearby BBQ restaurant was quite good. "

"My stay with my family on this trip would of been great but due to the pool being closed our entire stay was a disappointment. My family and I choose this hotel for the simple fact of having a pool and the facility stayed closed our entire stay, even though we were told it would open the afternoon on 07/06/2006 or on 07/07/2006,these were the dates we stayed.I again want to let you know that my choice for this hotel stay was based on your having a pool. The manager himself told me that it would open on my stay for sure and it did not!! "

Location: fairly easy to find. Services - minimal. Beard hair & soap scum all over the faucet & not our my hair on sheets = major yech! Rm= small w/ smells that stayed. Pet allowed from *** but according found out limited to under 10# and found out non-refundable $25 fee on registration. Would NOT stay there again!

"For getting general access to Birmingham, the Ramada Inn is at a great location. It's easily found from I-65 and everything we needed, both as business trip and tourists, was quickly accessible. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff was helpful. We'd stay there again. It's not fancy, but it's convenient and clean."
