the maintance was poor for the price. available late night food was not good. room was clean and over all ok. breakfast was also ok.

Location only. Everything else. The Air Conditioner was broken and the room was sweltering hot. The bathroom fan barely worked except to make noise, so it turned the whole room into a sauna when we took a shower. The breakfast room was too crowded and not a very good selection. Overall, the place was awful, especially for something so expensive. When I complained to the staff about the broken a/c, they just said thanks for telling us. Nothing wasdone about it.

Room was adequate...we just needed a place to crash after sight seeing in DC. My son's retainer was mistakenly thrown out by the maid (it was wrapped in a paper towel on the night stand). I agree that it was partly our fault..but I also think the hotel has some resonsibilty in it also. I had made the beds & put our soda cans in the trash before we left (former chambermaid). So the room was not messy when she came in. The paper towel had upper & lower retainers so it had some weight to it. It was a mistake on both our parts. I now have to pay for new retainers & the hotel gets to wash their hands of it. Choice Hotels only files the complaint..no follow up on their end as the hotels are all franchised. So hopefully you won't have any issues...don't leave anything out!!! My stay was pleasant...just the aftermath of the unfortunate situation is disheartening. I never met the manager...only spoke to him on the phone & got the obligatory "apology" email from him.

Ballston is an exciting place to be, and is on the Metro. The hotel is 1/2 mile away, which is necessary to keep the price down. But it is an old, tired property that needs maintenance. Shabby elevator, dirty carpet in room, knob missing from bath heater, Internet connection did not work, breakfast was unacceptable -- only old doughnuts, weak coffee and sugared cereals. Belgian waffles available if you could stand the line. People were VERY pleasant and helpful, however.

Location. Bed was just okay in terms of comfort. This hotel suited my purposes for a one-night stay to attend a funeral. The price was good for the location. The continental breakfast was adequate.

I was originally booked into a fancier brand-name hotel for my business stay, but shopped around a bit and found that the Comfort Inn Ballston was only 3 blocks further away from the subway and only 2/3 the price. The staff were helpful and friendly, and there was a very nice free breakfast that included waffles you can make yourself. In addition, the room was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel also had free wireless in the room, and this was a big plus for me. If possible you should ask to stay on the side of the hotel opposite the main road (N. Glebe Road).I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the hotel to any of my colleagues.

This is a nice, simple hotel not far from the orange line of the metro. The young gentleman who checked me in at night was gracious and friendly. The room was very good. I recommend the courtyard side as the front rooms face two very busy streets. The breakfast buffet was very crowded while I was there and so I couldn't really take advantage of it. I recommend getting there early.

Location. Exercise room is dismal. Good location. Clean. Helpful staff. Beds not as comfortable as some other chains.

Great hotel, great beds, bathroom a little small and outdated. Great breakfasts. The hotel had free parking, we parked our truck and took the metro which was a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Variety of restaurants close to the metro. Room was clean. There were lots of schools kids staying at the hotel at the time but we didn't hear much noise, the walls are thick. We would stay here again next time we are in DC.

the comfort inn ballston, arlington, va. was great due to the location to the metro system that was a block away. the people at the front desk was very friendly and curteous. took time to give us directions on how to get to the metro so we could go and see the sights in d.c. the room was spacious with a refrigerator and microwave. the bathroom was great, and it was seperate from the outside closet, so you felt you coould shower and have more privacy with the sink and mirror. the cleaning ladies were always nice in the am. the room was always cleaned and new bath towels were always left. but you could not ask for a better location to the restaurants! it was great to walk to the mall, eat, have a drink. the architect to the buildings were incredible. i would recommend it to anybody and the price was great!

The hotel desk clerk was awesome. The restaurant for dinner was terrible. With the lone exception of the restaurant for dinner, I would very much recommend this hotel.

This hotel definately needed a little modernization, but was a good pick overall. 10 min walk to the Metro and many food and shopping choices in area. Good price for a very safe college neighborhood

Relatively quiet, there was also good and secure parking, free of charge. The breakfast was a joke, coffee always just in the process of being made in one pot. The room and bathroom was is dire need of an overhaul.

Management was very courteous and attentive to customers' needs. I liked all aspects of hotel stay. Hotel was very well run and located near shops, restaurants and transportation. safe location. staff was very attentive to travelers' needs. Staff answered all of our questions.

It was the location we needed and we didn't need much more than a place to sleep comfortably. I did not like that the beds were full size rather than queen size.

Location. Cleanliness/appearance/smell. Hotel smelled everywhere, room was hot on coldest AC setting, hall ways were dirty, breakfast was old food reused, front desk person sarcastic, patrons checking in next to me at a much lower rate very disappointed.

Far better than what it looked by the photo in your homepage. We stayed in 4 hotels in this trip. Among the four, this hotel was the most comfortable.

People were nice enough. Location, and the lobby. One does not always get when one pays for. If all you need is a place to sleep and don't need convince or comfort than this is the place for you. The people were nice and check in was easy. They had coffee in the lobby. No other perks worth talking about.

Newly refurbished. Would have liked a small refrigerator & microwave. Excellent. Spacious room with two double beds and desk with internet connection in room. There was also a PC set up in the lobby for no-charge use by guests. Parking was within a courtyard and an Indian Cuisine restaurant was located across the courtyard. A large breakfast room offers complementary cereal and juice or you can make your own toast or waffle.
