For decades, the Comfort Windsor hotel has been among the most renowned hotels in Odense. Its location, in the middle of the charming and lively town centre with shops, pedestrian streets and cafes gives the hotel a very special atmosphere. Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale Odense is home to some of the country's most fascinating and inspiring attractions. The world-famous writer was born only a couple of hundred metres from the hotel, and today, H. C. Andersen Housen is a very interesting museum. Modern art is well served by several of the city's galleries and the Brandts Cultural Centre. Fishing is permitted, and the golf courses, only a few km from the city, are of international standard. Egeskov Castle and the Fyn Village open-air museum also offer a world of experiences. Public transport network as well as bus and railway stations can be reached in 10 minutes on foot. It is a 20-minute drive to the beach around 10 km away.

Built in 1898, this air-conditioned hotel was completely renovated in 2006 and comprises a total of 60 rooms, one junior suite, and three apartments, all in classic Windsor style. Facilities on offer include a welcoming lobby area with a reception desk manned around the clock and two hotel safes. Also available is a lounge, a bar, a restaurant, Internet access, and a laundry service (charges apply).

The tastefully decorated rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, and a radio. In addition, a double bed, a minibar, a hire safe, and both central heating and air conditioning are also provided in all accommodation as standard. Guests may also take advantage of the wireless Internet access. All rooms are non-smoking.

What are your breakfast options?: We serve a large buffet for breakfast which includes among other things,
various bread, marmalade, cheeses and cold cuts, various cereals, eggs,
bacon and sausages, fresh fruits and vegetables, pancakes and pastries plus
coffee, tea and juice. The breakfast is served daily from 6:30am until 10:00am and untill 11:00am on Saturdays and Sundays. The breakfast is always included in your stay.
Where can we dine?: Our restaurant does not serve lunch or dinner. We do, however, have 2 sister
hotels only about 150 metres from Hotel Windsor. One of them serves a dinner
buffet and the other offers a la carte. The dinner buffet is 199 DKK per person. The a la carte restaurant has starters from 125 DKK, main courses from 155 DKK and desserts from 95 DKK. They also serve a set menu of 1, 2 or 3 courses for 195, 245 and 295 DKK respectively.
What can I do nearby?: Our hotel is situated in the centre of Odense, only a few minutes' walk from
the main pedestrian shopping streets. Sights nearby (walking distance) include the Hans Christian Andersen House and Museum, The Cathedral and The Art Museum of Funen.
