Aussies on the moveHotel is basic; room a bit cramped with no air-conditioning but beds comfortable.Food OK but tables left dirty after customers; noisy drinkers downstairs.Room was non-smoking, but window opened onto roof ledge full of cigarette butts.

Too far from Reading. Also taxi cost to Tilehurst or Reading stations is very high.

Of course you get what you pay for but no hot water for the bath and perhaps the noisiest room in the hotel (number 11) made for a memorable visit but for the wrong reasons

Staff were generally friendly and helpful. The evening meal which we had was very well cooked and piping hot. Portion sizes were generous and quite good value for money. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the sound-proofing could be a little better as some guests tended to let their doors bang shut behind them when leaving their rooms. Breakfast was buffet style, which was fine for the continental option. The full English hot breakfast would have been nicer if it was cooked to order. Overall quality of food was good.

£80 a night for a dirty, small hotel room that I shared with woodlice. The hotel must have been made of papier mache, as I felt like people from as far as 3 rooms down were sharing with me. The shower was a mixer tap attached to a bath which meant a slow drip of boiling hot or freezing cold water. Breakfast was distinctly average with plenty of grease.On the good side, the bed was comfortable and the towels fluffy!! :o)

The hotel is easy to find and while situated next to a busy road there was no noise in the room. The room was clean and tidy and adequately furnished. The outlook from our window was disappointing with concrete block wall adjacent to the window and a weed covered gravel patch with some old building materials forming the view. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. A bit further away from Reading than I expected but overall no complaints.

The hotel is easy to find and was good value for money. However, the hotel looked a bit 'down at heel'. The aged appearance and tired look of the place went as far as the beds which, to be fair were clean, but sagging and the pillows were some of the hardest I've ever slept on.

Hotel great with friendly helpful staff, breakfast was good with a decent well cooked choice. Our room was fine but the mattresses were very hard and lumpy. It was a shame as all else was so good and we will have to think carefully about returning after two very uncomfortable nights.

The stay was fine but breakfast is served for a ridiculously short period of time - between 7.30am and 8.30am. Perhaps this is excellent for the businesswoman or man, but not for the tired tourist who does not want to get up in the depths of the morning to have breakfast after a long drive the previous night.

You get what it says on the tin: very comfortable bed, thought trains might disturb but they didn't, adequate breakfast although fresh rolls would improve it considerably, caring staff, internet excellent although not free, all in all extremely good value for money

Smallish room but adequate.Packets of biscuits on hospitality tray a welcome touch. Room at front but not noisy at all. Excellent buffet breakfast. A real shame the restaurant not open Fri/Sat as we'd definitely have used it. Rather uninterested clerk on Reception.

The hotel really needs a facelift - and to be fair we were told that on arrival. Given prices of other hotels in area it is a little more than expected for its quality. Like all hotels I stay in the ventilation systems are not clean and the ceilings have not been dusted

Originally allocated smoking room which I had not specified, however apparently not booking a smoking room does not mean you are guaranteed a non-smoking room - the hotel were very accommodating however and upon request managed to change my room for a non-smoking. Otherwise very satisfactory.

The food at the hotel was really good, so was the service, unfortunately the rooms were too small and cramped, even the double that I stayed in seemed to have too much in there, a double bed instead of two singles would have given more room.
