The Holiday Inn Victoria was very comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable with a lot of pillows. The staff was very friendly. The only thing that was somewhat disappointing was it was quite far to downtown Victoria. One would have to have a rental car or use a taxi to get downtown.
Date of Stay:
March, 2009
The staffwas pleasant. The room was dirty and dingy. The hotel was under construction. The room was dirty and needed new bedding. The carpet was old and dirty.

"This is a nice hotel, the staff are very hospitable, the room is clean but a little bit small. Iit will be great if it can offer free breakfast."

Hotel staff offered to advise us on tourist attractions in area. Although location was quite far from the harbor area, it was a great walk for exercisers, and a short drive for others. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and late check-out was graciously granted.

Clean and safe. Not a 3 star hotel in my experience.

"On arrival Oct 7/06 we were met by a very great staff. No hassles, rooms were very clean and if anything was asked for it was there very quickly. The resturant and Redds pub was great. Good food. This place had all the things you wanred or needed in the complex. Very nice atmosphere. Very good secuity and overall had a great time. I would stay there in a minute."

The Holiday Inn was large and comfortable. We were on an overnight to Victoria. The hotel restaurant was easily accessed and breakfast was quick and well prepared. The desk staff gave great directions to the bus line for our trip back to the harbor. We did not realize the distance from downtown which presented us with some problems.

It was perfectly functional. It was lacking in personality. A bit like having a room in an office. Expensive for what it is. Not in a very nice part of town. Nothing wrong with it per se, just nothing to write home about.

Good experience for the price. Refrigerators had been pulled from the rooms. Kids ate free which was nice.

There was nothing wrong with the hotel, but just too far from inner harbor area.

You couldn't hear the traffic right next to it very well. It did not offer anything for kids. This hotel was fine but definitely not three star. I was disappointed that the hot tub and exercise room were open to only 18 years and above. For what it was, I could have easily stayed at a 2 starand gotten the same feeling.

"Very nice hotel, wonderful staff. A little ways outside of downtown, but easily accesible by bus or taxi or 40 minute walk. Good food, no pool, kids not allowed in fitness center, 1 block from large shopping mall. Definitely an A+ option if you don't mind a small commute to downtown."

This hotel was adequate, but, compared to other 3 star hotels we have stayed at, it was a little disappointing. The room was fairly small. The desk and chair where placed right in the walking area, right in front of the door.

Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Distance from downtown. It's a Holiday Inn, like all the rest. Further from downtown than anticipated. But easily accessible to Public Transportation and cabs.

Nice staff. Run down and far away from downtown.

No hassles, clean andgood value. No fridge, little small for a 3 star.

Clean room. Our wing was not connected to main part of hotel. The restaurant had extremely slow service and odd food choices on the menu there was a coin operated laundry facility with one washer and one dryer, in the parking garage under the hotel.

The room was large and there was a restaurant & liquor store. The room wasn't clean and the carpets stained. It took asking 4 times. They didn't honor their hospitality promise. There was gunge around the sink faucets, the hair dryer was dirty and there were a number of stains on the carpet. what a let down. I reported the problem to the desk the 1st thing in the morning. when I returned to my room that afternoon it still wasn't handled. I asked housekeeping and they said they'd talk to the desk. That evening it still wasn't handled. The next morning I talked to housekeeping and the desk and some time that day they took care of it. The lobby carpet is stained, there is a dirty tray under the ice machine, etc. the staff obviously wasn't service oriented. I would never stay there again!

Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Rooms need upgrading and was not the cleanest. Not recommended for close proximity to Victoria Harbor. Rooms were ok but really needed a lot of upgrading. We would not return there. Very disappointed with this place.

It was close to shopping, and major roadways. We did not find the lobby internet area private, and could not find ice machines., awakened both nights by loud people in parking lot below us. For a quick overnight or two this is an adequate hotel, noting a scenic area or with a lot of Old Victoria atmosphere. I would not choose to be at this hotel over others around the inner harbor, but yet it suited what we needed for our particular stay, which was more for business purposes.
