Was a nice room and location, friednly staff and in what appeared to be nottingham town centre so not too far from the local life and attractions, check out at 12 seems a bit early, 12 would have been prefered, espcially if you've had a late night the night before, but its still a lovely hotel.

The Comfort Hotel was well located, but the room was not overly comfortable, and facilities are lacking. More importantly, the bathroom in the room smelt like it had not been cleaned properly. I'll stay elsewhere next time.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is that it was very hot in the room and we could only open one small window which left the room stuffy.

Not very impressed at all.I booked this Hotel because of its central location and the fact we were going to the Trent Arena (5 minute walk away ). However when we arrived there was only one member of staff on the desk with about 8 people waiting to book in, It was a very slow process to say the least. When we got to our room it was generally dirty, the mattress was uncomfortable, feeling like it was stuffed with straw, there were only three pillows between two people these being very thin indeed. When we looked into the en suite, there were pubic hairs in the sink and shower, which made us feel like cleanliness was not top priority. The following morning we had breakfast which was not the best I have had in a Hotel. while we were sitting the COOK (not Chef) came in to check on the hotplates. He was wearing a baseball cap, jeans and a dirty white shirt. the breakfast was not worth the £11.95 price tag either.Do not stay in this Hotel unless you are not fussy.

The location was perfect, central Nottingham. The staff were nice in the reception but breakfast staff never spoke and there was no coffee or juice. Also, the room we had an an awful smell in the bathroom that made the stay worse. We won't go here again.

Would definitely stay again!I was a little nervous about staying here after I had read numerous reviews on websites regarding the quality of the hotel. However this nervousness was put at ease when I arrived. The hotel was cosy, the staff were polite and attentive, and my twin room was clean and tidy with quite modern furnishings (apart from the hairdryer!) haha. I would definitely stay again.

Great location, past it's bestIf you're on a tight budget and need a central location this hotel is ideal. Sadly the hotel has seen better days with the whole place a little tatty round the edges. Staff very friendly and helpful but rooms jaded. I stayed early in the week when the hotel was very quiet, I'm sure it's extremely noisy at the weekends. Great place for young people who aren't too bothered about the decor and want to be right at the center of the action.

Central Location - handy for shopping. We visited Nottingham specifically to go to a live gig at the Old Angel, which is a stone's throw from this hotel. It's handy for the shops as well, with the main shopping centre about 5 mins walk away and the train station a further 10 mins at most. Hotel reception area is small but clean. We were on fourth floor, corridors looked very tired and as if they could have done with a lick of paint. Heating seemed to be on and it was extremely hot on this floor. Obviously a very old building, that had been updated over the years. We booked two rooms, my daughter and I ended up with a triple room, whilst my partner and his 18 yr old son had a twin - which looked to be very small. Our room was fairly spacious and quite clean, although to be picky, top of TV was dusty where some of the ceiling appeared to be crumbling off above it. Our room over-looked the main street and seemed to be up in the eaves, owing to sloping ceiling and tiny window. Bathroom was spacious and clean, although bathroom door looked like it had been kicked or knocked and was pretty badly patched up on the inside. The room was very noisy with the window open, after the pubs kicked out, lots of people gathering on street outside, as our room was opposite the one entrance to a Weatherspoons pub. We had to have window open as room was very stuffy. This didn't bother us overly because we had been out anyway but it might be an issue for someone with younger kids or who wanted a decent night's sleep. Comfortable beds, with adequate bedding. Cost was £59 per room per night without breakfast, which I felt was ok for a central hotel.

Fair value for moneyWithout wishing to repeat earlier comments, this hotel is tired looking but it is clean and perfectly located for those wishing to enjoy the centre of Nottingham. The receptionist couldn't have been nicer. The room was very hot and opening the window presented a security risk whilst out of the room and when trying to sleep, the constant cooing of pigeons kept me awake. The hot water system is as noisy as a 747 and was in regular use throughout the night. To summarise, it is worth £30 a night but no more. It is half the price of the travelodge with good reason and they certainly wouldn't want to make the Premier Inn pledge of a good night's sleep or your money back as they would go under within a week!

Comfort hotelExcellent value for money hotel. Very polite receptionist on arrival. Brilliant help regarding needing wheelchair access, changed rooms for us on short notice which was greatly appreciated. Central cabs who obviously have a deal with the hotel are a disgrace. On booking a taxi, i aske dteh driver if i was okay to put my partners wheelchair in the boot. The driver asked where i was going, when i stated my destination he replied with " your fuicking joking!? its only down the road (which it wasn't). He then proceeded to drive 40-60mph in a 30mph zone, swearing and makign phone calls on his mobile because he had no clue where our destination was. I do not reccomend central cab service. On leaving the hotel the 2 young receptionists (one had a monroe piercing) were very ill mannered and unhelpful. All in all the hotel was a nice place. The room was lovely. the noise outside is only to be expected, it is central nottingham. Definately good value for your money hotel tho.

very poorI was very disappointed in this hotel, the reception staff were unfriendly, the room was shabby and left a lot to be desired. We had one bath towel between the two of us.Considering it was very hot, we were unable to open the windows as the noise from the outside bar/bars kept us a wake for most of the night. The restuarant had uncleaned tables, so wasn't to sure where to sit.I wouldn't recommend or stay in this hotel again.

OutdatedThe room was in need of complete refurbishment. I do not expect paint and wallpaper peeling to the extent it was.

Stayed for 2 nights while over watching some cricket at trent bridge. Room was dated and smelled of musk. No hot water in the shower when i asked the receptionist about this on the first morning she muttered that she would tell maintenance. When I complained of the same problem the second morning she again muttered that she would tell maintenance. Outside window was broken and while it is in a city centre location and you would expect noise, this may have been more bearable had the window not been cracked.Breakfast was OK and we only used it as a place to sleep but i would never think of going back and was just glad my wife and children were not with me.

Nice locationIts not far from railway station, and close to city centre. Room is not spacious for a single person it is enough as long as you don't want to spend your valuable time in hotel room.

OK for the money with a great central locationNot a bad hotel in itself, but dated and seriously in need of a refurbishment. My room had damp patches and mould in the bathroom. Oh, and the toilet wasn't actually bolted to the floor!!! I was travelling alone, and felt safe enough, but it was mostly populated with large groups of guys on stag nights etc who returned (noisly) to the hotel at 4am and proceeded to knock continuously on doors. So... all in all kind of what you pay for!!
