From the A9A96 follow the signs to the town centre. Continue past the Eastgate Shoping Centre and onto Academy Street. At the bottom of Academy Street take a left and continue to the top of Bank Street staying in the right hand lane. Turn right over the bridge and then first left to where the Columba Hotel is situated.

Nice hotel, lovely room, shame about the bathroomRoom was lovely, facing the river and spacious. Bathroom really let the hotel down as the decor was outdated and the enamel was peeling off the bath. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was acceptable, we didnt try the dinner menu. Hotel is right in the centre of town - handy for everything. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

This hotel was great. It had a fantastic location. Our only complaint would be that it was not very sound proof and you could hear people in the hall and about you. The breakfast that was included was great.

Columba HotelVery happy with this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We hadn't reserved dinner but managed to get something to eat in McNab's (very helpful member of staff) Really enjoyed our stay. (Car parking continue past the hotel to the Cathedral where you can park)

Happy to stay againWe were up in Inverness on a last minute two day holiday and went with this booking. We didnt eat nor drink in the hotel and only really used it as a dorm. However, for what we paid, the quality of the room was very good indeed. The staff were friendly enough and the hotel is very well placed, only two minutes walk from the town centre and all the pubs and restaurants you could ask for. A very enjoyable stay indeed.

Room 101Outside of window is a a/c, which brings noise and smells of the kitchen into the room.At night too until 1.00 am and from 6.00 in the morning.

Almost satisfied customerThe hotel and it's surrounding area were excellent as was the accomodation for a standard room although on a warm evening was very stuffy even with the window open.I can not comment on the evening meal as we ate out, but at breakfast the bacon was cold grease and half cooked, the fried eggs were not there to eat, I asked staff to inform the chef of this then had to wait 10 minutes to get an egg (good job the bacon was cold) the eggs were also only half cooked I also had to keep checking to see if the eggs were placed on the buffet table as the staff did not inform me they were done. On saying this the breakfast could have hopefully been a blip and I would definately use this hotel again

Our Honeymoon Stay!We absolutley loved this hotel!! Excellent value for money and would definately stay here again. We had the executive suite and it was superb, amazing room and view. It was even better than expected. If you want luxury then this is the suite to go for.

a pleasant retreatA very pleasant place to return to after a busy day touring. There was always a pleasant and relaxed attitude all about. No question was to difficult, and the staff were always helpful and polite. I will be returning to this hotel in the future and would recommend it to anyone who would like a short break at a very reasonable price.

Why no black pudding on the breakfast menu??

A well positioned hotel This hotel is in the middle of the town. Close bars and food outlets. Well worth a stay. Would have stopped longer if i could but for me it was just a one night stop over. The only down side was trying to find on street parking due to the fact that the hotel has none.But you cant have everything can you.

Dont expect to be looked after.Staff are either badly trained or just incompetent. Yhe room allocated at 4,00pm was still being cleaned. Cleaner, (same one) knocked on the door at 9.30 the next morning expecting to come in to service the room. NOT 4- STAR QUALITY!! Barely worht the discounted price

Worst Hotel I have ever stayed inThis hotel was dirty with dirty dishes both in the room and the restaurant. The food was of very poor quality and the staff were very rude and unhelpful. The room was stuffy and right next to the extremely noisy service area. The grand finalle was when the bathroom ceiling came down in the middle of the night. how this hotel got four stars is beyond me.

The receptionist was clearly feeling under pressure and it was evident she wasn't happy about whatever was going on behind the scenes. it was a busy desk and she was on duty alone. Each time I was waiting, the customer being served was raising issues and she had to call the duty manager to sort things out - not a good first impression.The beds were desperately in need of replacing - the springs were well worn and the mattresses waver thin. The lights in the bathroom weren't all working and the shower was almost impossible to turn off. (I raised this with reception).The staff in the restaurant were attentive and friendly as were the cleaning staff.
