on a recent stay I found rolly pollys and crickets in the bathroom and an unnamed insect in the bed. The air conditioner was cold ( good) but noisy (bad).

The staff was excellent but the room was so far from the casino that it was quicker to walk next door and gamble and we did! We arrived at noon and were able to get in the room right away instead of waiting three or four hours and they didn't try to upgrade us!

We have been going to Laughlin for many years, and the Belle has become waaaaaaaaaay outdated. The rooms are only good for a place to crash. Our first night there last time we stayed (Oct. '08) I covered their bed pillow with my own beach towel because they smelled old. No hairdyer, no in-room coffee, no glasses, no iron. Our so called balcony door could not be secured, and the entire door jam was loose. Carpets need cleaning and the decor and furniture is LONG overdue for renovation. If you have comps, you will be booked in the New Orleans or Bourbon towers. Bring your comfy shoes, as they are a long distance to the casino and hotel restaurants. The food there is pretty decent -- that's about it. The rooms in the "boat" section of the hotel are a bit nicer (and much closer), but will cost you more. Bottom line..........you get what you pay for here. I was not happy AT ALL last time in New Orleans tower, and we never stepped foot into the casino or restaurants over a 3 day stay.

I stayed there several days while working on a construction job. One day, they did nothing to the room. Some days I had no soap. The other days, what soap I did have was just a small 2 inch bar of facial soap. That doesn't cut it for a construction workerwho had been working in 110 degree weather for 13 hours. It would look like my bed was made, but they had just pulled the coverings up, so I ended up tearing the bed apart and remaking it because the sheets were all bunched at the bottom. My floor was never vacuumed.

I had stayed there a few years ago, and it was a pretty nice place to stay. My reservations were wrong as I had reserved a non smoking room, non were available when I checked in, so they gave me larger room facing the river, well it sort of faced the river, the barrier wall outside blocked the view. The room had not been cleaned of cob webs for many months and certain parts of the carpet had not seen a vaccum in as many months, I guess they dont move chairs or night stands any more. It is Laughlin so you are not going to 5 star accomidations anywhere. I used to stay at the Tropicana that is across the street, but it has been real dirty the last two years.

I now know why I was told this was a non refundable room once I booked it . Paid plenty extra for river view, porch had cigarette butts on it, ants in the bathroom, the room smelled like carpet power that is suposed to cover odors. Hall ways full of trash, had to walk thru the laundry that was stored outside to get to our room. Rooms difficult to find. The maid was sure to leave the envelope for tips on the bed ha, they had to be joking. Ruined Laughlin for me for ever, will never go back.

Well my stay was not a fun trip to Laughlin as a whole. The stay was cheap, but always remember you get what you pay for and my friends and I got crap. I could smell the cigarette smoke on the sheets that were in the room, I've stayed in Motel 6's that were nicer. And the machines at this hotel I think were completely rigged because on two full buses(over 100 people) not a single person won anything on the machines. And the buffet made me sick, I do not recommend eating there. Overall not a recommended place to vacation, I found Las Vegas to be better.

The bed was uncomfortable because the sheets were not big enough to cover the bed did. They did not have a hot tub. The room was very hard to find and a long walk to the casino. I might play there again but I would not stay there.

On the morning of the 22nd, we were awakened by the fire alarm at 1:30 AM, and three more times before 2:00 AM. Security told us it was a false alarm on the 6th floor. Unable to go back to sleep anticipating another alarm, we checked out at 3:00 AM and drove back home. We were also disappointed the Orleans Room restaurant was closed, as we have eaten there in the past and it was excellent. Other than that everything was fine.

We have stayed in Laughlin before, and have never had a room like this. We had to call housekeeping ten minutes after we got there because the towels had black hand prints on them. The room had nothing but a bed and a horrible tv in it. It was a smoking room with no ashtrays, and we had to call house keeping again the next day because this time they forgot to leave ANY towels that time. The one little table they did have was all sticky when we arrived, and the 1 of only 2 dresser drawers we had fell apart when we opened it. Ridiculous.... We will never stay here again!

"Advertised food special--didn't follow thru. No satisfaction. Elevators and rooms dirty, greasy, smelly. Price was low--service received even lower. Asked to see Gen Mgr., was seen by food and beverage mgr. who lacked customer service skills."

"Planned a family river vacation, and wasn't let down. Good hotel, great food, decent service. Employees tend to congregate in the hallways, though, so it can be distracting. Casino is nice, bar is better. Hotel is a little aged, but not a bad vacation. Don't forget your boat, or your gonna run out of things to do"

We had a great big family trip scheduled and they were great - put us all in a huge block at a T in the hallways! Hallways were pretty confusing - need better signage or you could get REALLY LOST!!! A/C was in & out and rooms smell a little smoky.
