This hotel is a gem, especially if you are a swimmer, who is usually subjected to bath tub sized motel pools where lap swimming is a challenge. The steam room, sauna and hot tub were just frosting on the cake. The rooms were clean, nothing fancy but neat and clean. The restaurant was excellent. Everyone from the spa to the front desk were friendly and helpful. I swam 4 times in the two days I was there. WOW

Even though it's a family owned and operated motel, it still had a lot of the amenities and comfort I'm used to from chains. The continental breakfast was underwhelming-I went somewhere else. It is located on the more commercial side of Battledore near the grocery store. It's family owned and operated. I enjoyed the fact that it wasn't a chain. There wasn't much to the continental breakfast but that's a problem with many breakfasts at hotels. I would've loved to use the pool but it was too quick of a trip to take advantage of it.

the room was a decent size, but it does need a large a/c unit to cool such a large area. our son enjoyed the continental breakfast and his stay at this inn. we also felt that the staff accomodated us and were very professional.

I had made my reservations in Jan. a week before our arrival in May my daughter called me and said the motel did not have our reservations. I called up the motel and the girl on the desk did not know how to look up a conformation number, I then contact Orbitz and they fax a letter to the motel. I then called the motel and the girl said she did recieve the letter and made our reservations and that she would upgrade us for all of our troubles, and frustrations. Once we got to the motel I found the staff extremly rude, and they insisted that the reservation screw up was Orbiz fault, that Motel had done nothing wrong. I also had previous request a ridge for our meds and was told that it would cost an addional $10.00. When we arrived in our room which was certainly not a upgraded room there was no ridge. Our room was the worst room I had ever stayed in, The walls where cinder blocks, the bathroom was in bad need of repair, the ceiling looked as if children had installed it. I knew that this was not a upgraded room as a matter of fact I felt that we where put in this terrible room because we complained about our reservations being lost. I have never seen such a rude staff in all my days of traveling.

The evening shift front desk staff are extremly accomadating. The Restruant is wonderful! We had a great time taking the arobics classes that are offered at the pool and enjoyed the hot tub the most!!!!!

Older hotel in a quiet, tree-filled setting. Like Brattleboro itself, the hotel was quite charming in a quirky and slightly moth-eaten way. Rooms are dim and a bit dingy but large and comfortable. Even though there are two pools (one indoor) and a hot tub, there are only two towels per room and no shampoo or other accessories. While we were in line to check out the (very rude) staff at the front desk told another guest he could have come to the front desk (presumably naked and dripping from the shower) for another towel if he needed one for some reason. The staff were without exception rude, unfriendly and argumentative with guests and with each other. The "breakfast" consisted of some cereal, two loaves of generic store bread, and some bizarre plastic-wrapped objects which purported to be donuts but weren't. In the end, though, the hotel has it's charm and the large rooms, quiet and pretty setting and location right in Brattleboro go a long way to make up for the general dim dinginess and hostile staff. I'd stay there again but I'd avoid the front desk at all costs-- And I'd bring my own towels!

It was clean, spacious with a great pool or spa or hot tub. The people were very friendly. Right off Route 91 is a great New England Motel. It is a family and pet friendly. Kind people with great pool.

Colonial Inn and Spa Brattleboro VT was a perfectly adequate stop for an overnight stay. The room was immacuatley clean, although the furnishing somewhat dated. It was an excellent value for the money.

This hotel is very comfortable and the staff is accomodating. We have stayed here before. Clean rooms, excellent hot tub and pool. Is close to the interstate yet it is tucked away from noise and traffic.
