Colina Da Faja Hotel Calheta

This small house is an excellent alternative to the large hotels in the island. It’s ideal to recover energies and take pleasure from nature all around. Situated in one of the most charming and rural places on the west side of Madeira Island, Colina da Fajã offers nine rooms all with a great view over the ocean and the surrounding forest. Restored in February 2007 to hotel, this traditional Madeira house from the beginning of the 20th-century, features: a games room; a reading room with a fireplace; an outdoor heated swimming pool (25ºC); a barbeque; and a courtesy self-service bar that allows you to sample various drinks, including regional wines and homemade liquors. After breakfast clients can use free of charge the fully equipped kitchen to make their meals or a coffee/tea. Colina da Fajã it’s placed in the middle of a walking trail, “Levada Nova”. It’s one of the major “levadas”, comes from Ribeira Brava, it passes in front of the hotel and goes until Ponta do Pargo.
