Nice, quite; parking a little bit of a hassle, but otherwise OK stay

Filtered water on each floor, computers in lobby, printing services, and free internet. No iron and board in room (1 per floor).

The restaurant attached serves quite good food at reasonable prices. The only disappointment is that unless you have work in downtown Houston, the hotel is not near anything in the city. And the free coffee is terrible.

Hotel staff did not have reservation on arrival - blamed this on Orbitz. Had to wait 15 minutes for staff to retrieve confirmed reservation before we could check in. Rooms are small but nice. Bathroom was so small I thought I was on a cruise. Valet staff lost my car keys. Did not find until later in the day and had to mail to me later that week.

This was my second stay at this hotel and again, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Located within the Arts District of Houston, attractions are minutes away by foot. Many good restaurants to choose from as well.

Elegant hotel, Cold bottled water(Free). Very helpful staff at front desk, who went above and beyond to assist us. Free internet available. Also rooms had iron and ironing board which is a nice touch.

I couldn't have asked for better service or better accommodations. The staff was helpful whenever I needed it. This is an older hotel that has a very modern feel - particularly in the rooms. Whoever worked on the redesign got it right. It was clean, compact, they used quality materials and it didn't look 'worked over' They even paid attention to 'green' design in very smart ways - for example the chilled water dispensers on each floor. It had everything I needed and nothing that I didn't. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. It was an easy walk to the convention center and a wonderful city park.

Quiet, bottled water. It is exactly what it says it is, caters to business. Extremely friendly staff.

Hotel was very nice. HOwever I found the room very small - compared to other hotels. It might be due to the fact that is was in downtown HOuston - maybe that is normal for a "city" room. I also feel that for the rate that was paid - they should have offered some kind of a complimentary breakfast of some sort.

Convenience. Dowdiness. Hotel provides good accommodation without unnecessary frills.

The room was purchased for the wedding night of my son and daughter-in-law. The location was perfect from where the ceremony took place. The feedback from them was it was a cozy quiet clean and comfortable place to spend the first night together.

It was a nice little surprise. We were not expecting such a nice hotel.

A 1Br suite should be a separate bedroom and living room. I actually called the hotel directly ahead of time to confirm this. This 1 BR "suite" was merely an average size hotel room with queen bed and small sofa bed and kitchenette. When I pointed out the discrepancy to the staff I was told "the 2BR suite has one separate BR." Toilet stopped working second night. Repairs not done til next day. Both treadmills in exercise room were broken. This facility probably OK for frequent business traveler who can use multiple nationwide locations. Otherwise NOT recommended.

Rooms were very small but clean. Room to small, staff unresponsive to needs, scary location, expensive parking, dusty construction, need to say more?

I went to Houston to visit my son, who is in jail nearby in Dayton. Last time, I stayed in Dayton, and it was no fun, so I had decided to stay in Houston this time. My room reminded me of a smaller version on my cabin on a cruise ship; it was wonderful! The set up had all the ammenities I needed, from an iron and ironing board to a hair dryer to a coffee pot and refridgerator, right in the room. The set up in the bathroom was great, except for the location of the toliet paper holder. Housekeeping neglected to replace used articles in the bathroom, but other than that it was all good. There was an on site restaurant, and several others were in walking distance. They even had valet parking to take care of my car for me. I will stay there again if I have to go back to Houston.

Nice building from the outside. Very dirty rooms, not even shower gel in the bathroom. Allover unappealing. The hotel is located in Houston Downtown. The location is convenient if you want to spend most of your time downtown. The staff was friendly, but not warm. The room was simple but unfortunately not well maintained, full of dust and without any of the standard services (like cosmetic products in the bathroom, eg.). One cannot open the windows in the rooms which made me feel a little bit claustrophobic. The parking costs around $18 which I think is a lot. Allover: if you are on a short trip and you need a hotel in downtown, it's ok, in case you want a charming location for more than a night, I'd recommend to go to somewhere else.

Went to a H.S. reunion at the Houston Club on Rusk, so this was almost right next door. Great location with lots of bars/restaurants within walking distance. It's about $30-50 cheaper than others nearby. Great pub, The Flying Saucer, right around the corner. Very friendly service and quick check in/out. However, I got a single queen room and it was pretty dang small. The bathroom is especially small with a tiny sink & small shower stall. I'm a fairly low maintenance guy, but I imagine women or couples would hate the bathroom. Ask for a street view, because i was facing a brick wall across the alley. There's a small t.v., but no radio except the pay per listen on t.v. There was a really bad smell in the hallway outside the room. The room wasn't really dirty, but I've been in cheaper places that seemed cleaner & newer. But overall, not too bad a deal considering location & price.

Convenience and ability to use hotel computer space. No vending for drinks.

The restaurant served very reasonable meals that were absolutely excellent. The shrimp linguine with capers and herbs was the best I've ever had. The spinach pecan omlet was also exceptional for breakfast. Service is quick and meals prepared soon thereafter. The Internet availability and staff support was very good as well.
