The food was just OK. But for the price it was a good deal. The location at the Marina is really good. The pool is beautiful. The location of one Restaurant is on the canal and really beautiful the other is on the ocean. The view makes up for the food quality. The young people running the actifities are really nice and friendly. They take groups to the clubs in the evenings.

Close to airport for an all-inclusive, it wasn't bad. Noisy. Rooms are adequateclean but basic. Lots of groups. Noisy until about 10 PM. Villa area is quieter. Food was ok.

My trip was from March 29, 2009 to April 2, 2009 I was under the impression that all tips were included. This was NOT true! There were tip jars everywhere the front desk, the restaurants, the bars even the omelet station in the mornings. When I booked this trip I did not want to carry cash with me everyday so I purposely looked for an ALL INCLUSIVE with the belief that these matters would be taken care of. I can't believe the nasty looks and treatment we received for not tipping. The food and service were NOT all that great that they deserved a tip. I felt all employees expected a tip immediately. The food could certainly use some improvement. The room was small but very clean. the grounds were well manicured and clean. The air conditioner was located right above the entrance door to our room - which constantly dripped on the marble floor - making a very slippery surface.

So this was our 3rd time of going to this resort. My friends and I have been making the Puerto Vallarta trip for many many years and one year we decided to try out a little bit cheaper hotel and stay a few more days! Since we stayed here we have not been anywhere else. The bus to downtown stops right outside the hotel, the staff are amazing, drinks are flowing, food is very good as far as Mexican resorts go and the resort itself is very very good for the price.. Best of all if you take your laptop they have an internet connection waiting for you for free... Not that you really want to take your laptop but if your like me where you don't have a choice this is a blessing as you don't need to find an internet cafe. Stay here and you will have a great time!

The room was very nice and spacious but we went during the rainy season so in the evenings it would rain and we had a couple of leaks that came in thru the window I had to use the hotel towels to clean up the water on the floor. When I told the front desk about the problem they asked me if I needed more towles they didnt seem to care. Also never lock the door of the room from the inside before you leave. We left our room for a night out and arrived back at the room around 2am and the door would not open we called the front desk and they spent over an hour trying to get the front door open after several attemts my husband and the maintaince man had to break in thru the sliding glass window and my husband cut himself on some glass but we were finally able to get in. A couple of other things hope you dont like hot showers because you wont get them here you will mabie get a luke warm shower if your lucky also the hotel claims to have 3 restraunts to eat at there was one opened the whole time we were there. It was good food but after going to the same restraunt for a whole week it starts to get gross. Also all there alchol was watered down. Now on a positive note the veiw from the room was breathtaking ocean and pool veiw ,The hotel was empty due to the rainy season so the pool area was always empty that was nice, Location was perfect 5min from airport ($5.00 Taxi) and about 10 min to downtown($8.00 taxi)I really enjoyed Puerto Vallarta but I would never stay at this hotel again.

i was very nervous due to reading the reviews.we loved the hotel.beautiful views of the marina and ocean.service is excellent, and drinks and food are very good.my only advice is to take the room upgrade as the least expensive room is very basic.we will return agin for sure.i have stayed at mostly 5 star resorts and was pleasantly surprised.

The room you get once you are at the hotel is not what is advertised on the website. I felt extremely unsafe leaving my valuables in the hotel room. The service was horrible because it was all inclusive and the staff wasn't working for tips. You would order a drink and get it 30 minutes later. You were also lucky if there was any alcohol in your drink. My advise would be to spend a little more money for a better experience. Our room had the TV stolen out of it. We only had one key for four people and our phone didn't work. There are no hair dryers or irons in the room. Do not stay in this hotel! The food wasn't bad ..... the first 3 days we ate it. There is no variety in the food so you get sick of it fast! The bar also ran out of beer and vodka at 10:00pm one night. How do you run out of alcohol at an all inclusive resort?

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at the Embarcadero Pacifico. The pools were refreshing and kept very clean. There is a road in between the hotel/marina side and the villa/beach side, but that didn't bother us. The beach isn't very big but it is very relaxing to lay by the pool looking over the beach. The food was good especially since its free. Breakfast is awesome at the Cafe Marina and dinner has a theme show every night. Overall I would recommend this hotel to just about anyone.

All I can say about our trip....Would not even hesitate to go there again...Beautiful Hotel, could use some updating, was very clean and comfortable...The hotel staff bent over backwards to accomodate, the food was good and always plenty of choices...just remember you may be in a foreign country and your idea of great food and their's may differ....either way there were plenty of choices...For the money, this is the place....

This was the best vacation of my life. 3 friends and i went down for spring break, and had a great time. The pool was great, the bars even better. I would deffinatly recomend going here. The Hotel staff is very friendly and enjoys having a great time with you.

Club Embarcadero was a nice place to stay. The staff was very friendly. On the down side,it seemed everyone in management at the facility was pushing timeshares. We stayed in a Villa, the airconditioning did not cool properly and was very noisy. There was an electric fan in the kitchen and living room but this also did not work. We Were satisfied with most everything else.

Very bad experience, from the arrival through check out, not enough staff, not friendly, rooms not ready at your arrival, phones not working, tv not working, pool was not the cleanest, food not bad, the only thing memorable is the spa and massage place... I would go back for that. in the massage place the staff really friendly, and very helpful, that is a big asset to Hotel Embarcadero, Front desk was not that bad, overall experience was not pleaseant

Our third time at this same place and we want to go back. We look at it as a 3 star hotel with 5 star service. If you treat the personel like friends and tip them reasonably and consistently, they will bend over backwards for you. Try a little Spanish on them and they'll know you care.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. We were on spring break so we just needed a pool (and a beach), drinks that never stopped and some food to get us through the day. The staff was very friendly and easy to get along with. By the end of the week, they knew some of our names but especially what we wanted to drink! The only problem we found was that many people experienced a theft of some sort, and one even caught a staff member red-handed with his Ipod. It was mostly the spring breakers that we talked to and I'm sure we were easy prey. Other than that, it was a spectacular place to stay.

So first off let me remind you that this is Mexico. It is not as clean as the states. If you want a 5 star hotel, then pay the money for one. All the people on here leaving reviews about how dirty and terrible this place is must have never been to Mexico before. This is a cheap trip and is worth the money. The accomodations were reasonable. I was not expecting hair dryers and microwaves, and I did not get them. The only large disappointment was that we planned on drinking our body wieght in corona, and they did have any. The dinner buffet was not good, but you can make reservations in the restaraunt on the site which is included in the all inclusive. The restaraunt was great, the breakfast buffet was great and we never ate lunch there because we were always out doing something else. There is also a lunch and snack place on the beach which is about 2 blocks away. Also included but again, we never made it there. Highly recommend the canopy tour and the Quimixto tour to waterfall. Dont buy it online. We paid about 30 dollars per person for each one. Happy traveling!!

The word Superior room is missleading. It means that a regular room with two double beds. It does not give you a better room or a room with better view. In room amenities are very bad, no hair dryers, No remote for the 17" TV. Beds are hard, towels are smelly and well wore. No wash clothes in the first night. Service in the Marina restaurant is quite good. However, bartenders have no personality. They made off color remarks about young girls. Watch out for cab drivers. Ask for price first before the ride. Have exact change, they will run before giving you back your correct change. DO NOT use the official Cab stand at the airport. It is a big ripe off. They wanted 235 pesos for the trip to the hotel. You can catch a taxi outside of 50 pesos.

After reading the reviews before going to Puerto Vallarta I was a little apprehensive since we had never been to this part of Mexico before. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and was not disappointed at all and will definitely return to this Hotel again. For the price we paid for a 1 week stay from Minnesota all inclusive it was awesome and don't understand where the people are coming from when they wrote their bad reviews. But that's ok because I hope they do not go back because that makes availability for my familiy better to go back again even better. The person at the front desk Miriam went above and beyond to make sure my families stay at the Club Embarcadero was great!!!!! The two bedroom, two bath Villa with Kitchenette (however didn't use the kitchenette) was wonderful. The grounds were beautiful, the maid service was great!!!!! Absolutely No bugs or dirty rooms at all. The pools were nice and clean a little cold but refreshing after laying in the sun in 80' weather. Plenty of towels for everyone. The cute towel guy Manuel was great always smiling and very very friendly. The lobby area has stairs that you can sit on while waiting for a ride. The bartenders are all very friendly and make sure your glass is not empty for very long. The food was great wasn't really really warm however in our past experiences in other places in Mexico that is how the Mexican Buffets are. The Omelette Lady in the morning is wonderful and will warm your hashbrowns or potatoes on the grill if you ask her. The Plaza area in downtown is very fun place to ride the bus for .50 to both daytime and nightime, lots going on down there.

2 bedroom villas as it's advertised what a joke. Water leaking from the upstairs, panes of glass missing from bedroom window, couldn't drink or brush our teeth with the water. The snack bar was the only thing worth eating and we're not picky. The buffet was a joke how could Mexico mess up a mexican buffet. No entertainment at night unless you wanted to go on stage. It was so bad that we slept with all the major lights on while we slept. The master bathroom went without toilet paper until the day we left. I think everyone needs to recalulate the 3 stars which to me means average.

Room Bathroom toilet tank leaked water on the floor. Windows were single pane. People could walk by and you can hear everything at night. Extreme noise from 8 pm - 10pm nightly. They have "entertainment" at the hotel which includes 1 guy with a microphone calling people from audience to come and participate. Volume turned up very loud. Extreme noise after 10pm and always from 5 am - 7am. This was due to a pickup truck that has a bad transmission. Every morning and later night I got woken up and could never fall asleep as this truck kept on bringing stuff to and from the hotel. The front desk kept on promising but did not do anything. I could not sleep a sound night for 6 nights at a stretch. Food: Waiters regularly serve alcohol without any concern. My 8 yr old daughter got served alcohol when she went o request a drink and specifically said "no alcohol". Buffet style food. Will taste good for 1 meal. After that the same items are repeated. Value: Saves you some money. But after staying there comfort has become far more important to me. I expected 3 star comfort there (like a Holiday Inn express in the US) but received 1 start or worse comfort. More like a roach motel. Staff: All the catering staff and busboys were good. The front desk staff was overwhelmed and kept on making promises they could not keep.
