HOW TO DRIVE FROM BODRUM AIRPORT TO ALTINKUMFrom Bodrum Airport the final 75km of your journey to Altinkum will be approximately 1hour and 20 minutes. Please remember that if you are to drive in Turkey, you must drive on the opposite side of the road from back home, the maximum speed on the highways is 90 km and when driving in the residential areas the maximum speed is only 50km. During the journey to Altinkum there are a few speed control points so please be careful and do not speed! When you depart from the airport getting to Altinkum is simple. Firstly turnthe left after the main gate and follow the signs on the main road to the town of Milas. On the way to Milas you will pass through a little village called Koru, this will show you are on the right road. Koru is approximately 10 km from the airport. When you reach Milas you will come to the first main junction at which you need to turn to the left and follow the signs to a town called Soke.After Milas and on the Soke road you will just need to follow the main road for about 45 minutes to where you will pass through a few small villages. Just stay on the main Road! After approximately 30 minutes drive you will pass a lake called Bafa Lake. This lake is one of the largest in Turkey and has very rich salty water as it used to be connected to the Aegean Sea. Beyond Bafa Lake you will be able to see the small historical village of Heraklia sitting on the foot of the spectacular five fingered mountains. When you have passed the Bafa Lake go up one more hill and come to a junction in the road signposted to Akbuk. At this junction turn left heading towards Akbuk and keep going until you pass a petrol station on your left. After the petrol station turn into the road on the right and go straight ahead which will take you in to Altinkum. Please be careful on this road as it has a number of pot holes! When you reach Altinkum go to second roundabout then keep going straight. You will then reach a cross roads (on your left there is a restaurant called Altindag) go straight across until you come to a T junction, take the right and go up the hill. Keep going until you see a sign on your left saying Aegean Resorts, take the road on your left down hill, Club Aegean is at the bottom on your right. HOW TO DRIVE FROM IZMIR AIRPORT TO ALTINKUM (DIDIM)From Izmir Airport the final 154 km of your journey to Altinkum will be approximately 2 hour and 30 minutes. Please remember that if you are to drive in Turkey, you must drive on the opposite side of the road from back home, the maximum speed on the highways is 90 km and when driving in the residential areas the maximum speed is only 50km. During the journey to the Altinkum there are a few speed control points so please be careful and do not speed! When you depart from the airport getting to Altinkum is simple. Firstly turn left after the main gate and follow the signs on the main road to the city called Aydin. The first sign will be appximately 1 km away and when you turn to the Aydin side you will have access to the main road. The first sign to the motorway will be appx 10 km later and will be a green sign with white writing. Please turn at the sign showing Aydin (need to be green sign) and when you enter the motorway you need to take a ticket. You will need to look out for your exit to TorbaliSelcukSoke(ortaklar) .To get to the Altinkum you need to take the Soke exit off the motorway. Please note that all motorways in Turkey are toll roads (approximately 2.00YTL). When you pass the exit you will be driving approximately 10 min from motorway when you will arrive at the town of Soke .Follow the signs for Didim for a further 30 mins. You will come to a cross roads, which is called the Dalayan crossroads, turn right at the lights signposted Didim. You will pass through Yeniakkoy, Akkoy, keep following the road and the Aqua Park will be on your left. Follow the signs to Didyma, passing the three petrol stations on your left. On your right there is a road which goes up a slight hill, follow it round. Then on your left there is a major road, take that road and follow it until you come to a sign post saying Aegean Resorts on your right, take the right and go down the hill, Club Aegean is at the bottom on your right.
