Clement Barajas is conveniently located for an overnight stay before an early morning flight. The hotel has a shuttle service, but it wasn't working on a snow day. Taxi is 18 Euros, so just take the subway. Catch the metro [diamond signs are easy to find at the airport] to the stop for Barajas [between the stop for T1, 2, 3 and the stop for T4]. As you exit the subway, turn right onto the main street, walk past the Burger King 3-4 blocks. Turn left on Suez Street. It's only a short walk.

I was looking for a nice hotel close to the airport in Madrid and this was it. It was 5 minutes from the airport and offered a free shuttle that ran every 30 minutes. Nice room with large bathroom and tub; oversized executive desk. Wireless internet. We didn't use any restaurants in the hotel. The subway was about 5 blocks away through a deserted neighborhood at night; there didn't seem to be many restaurants nearby but we weren't really looking as we spent the evening in the city. Underground parking with some really tight corners. Our limited interaction with staff was fine and both attendants at the desk spoke English.

Great place to stay when you need to overnight in Madrid. Good shuttle service (no extra charge). You do have to phone from the airport for pick-up so need a 1 Euro coin handy to call. Near-by park with nice places to eat and near-by commerical district if you need these. Safe.
