Not so near Bastille, but a great little hotelClean and friendly, with nice breakfast room and (tiny) garden. All staff very friendly and helpful. Room 604 great - smallish, but with large roof terrace. Room 302 also good - large triple room with two bathrooms. Kettle, tea and coffee in the room, as well as free room safe and free wi-fi. Useful cafe's and shops nearby; close to Charonne Metro station; walking distance to Pere Lachaise.

Excellent location near the metro and Place de la Nation. The man working the night shift at the front desk was extremely helpful with directions and suggestions. The breakfast was not bad for a three-star hotel. Would stay there again.

Helpful friendly staffThis was our first stay in Paris - the Staff was very friendly & helpful. We got a great restaurant recommendation our first night, and everything exceeded our expectations. If it is your first visit - know that many local shops are closed on Saturday, but there is a huge 'market' open instead. (Down toward the main tourist area.)

The staff is very friendly, willing to help and speak well English. Location is perfect and it's quiet at night eventhough you can hear people in their rooms, when standing in the hall way, if they speak too loud. It didn't bother my night rest. It's near the metro also.

The staff all spoke very good english. The room was clean, well kept and very very quiet. I got a good nights sleep. Not far from some really good bars & restaurants. i will be staying again...

Decent, clean hotel, near to a metro and an easy walk to the Bastille. Relatively expensive if you book at the full advertised rates, I was lucky enough to get mine at half price, which even then was not altogether cheap.

Wonderful hotel with great breakfast, and tidy (but inevitably small) rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the area is great to buy a bottle of wine, some cheese, fruit and vegies a.s.o. Unfortunately they have been increasing and increasing their prices recently, and I have had to go elsewhere (often more central hotels just as good) which are charging more realistic 3 star rates (even for Paris!).

Excellent hotel. Outside looks wholly unimpressive, but hotel is very good and staff are excellent, all speaking good english. If you drive a big car the car park is VERY tight, using a lift to put the car in and go underground. We managed it and to turn the car around on the car park. This is an excellent hotel, great for the tube and fantastic location. I would not hesitate going again.

staff all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and nice. Room was a good size. would have liked the possibility of a double bed in the triple room but it wasn't a major.

The hotel was very good value for money. I stayed with my parents who are both pensioners and have health difficulties, and stairs can be problematic so it was good that the hotel had a reasonable sized lift . Although on the street side, our room was very well sound proofed and also had an air conditioning unit which was much required for the hot May evenings. We shared a triple room which looked like it had previously been two single rooms, so it was very reasonably sized and came with two shower rooms and toilets (these however were quite small and those of a larger build may have difficulties getting in and out of the shower) which was an unexpected bonus. The room also had its own safe. Overall we were very happy with the accommodation and would definately recommend it.

we were very pleased with this hotel it was very clean with new towels each day and a lovely comfy bed and we asked for a quiet room and were not disappointed we hardly heard a noise we overlooked a courtyard so there was no traffic noise at all. the breakfast was really good with lots of choice and plenty of tea and coffee. it was only 500 yards from the metro station so it was easy to get about.
