Staff very helpful in arranging transportation, car rental, pizza delivery; they had a good answer every time we asked. The pool was on the small side, but there was a hot tub right next to the pool. Loved the breakfast from 6-9 am. Enjoyed the space of the suite (my wife and I were traveling with our twin 14 year boys, and there were two queen beds), plus the front room sofa and desk (just right for laptop usage with the free WiFi). Also, they were were gracious in helping us rent a car, and when it was checkout time, they stored our luggage until 7:10 when the airport shuttle ran. There is even a Benihana restaurant in the same block. Conference rooms are available. An extremely enjoyable stay at a spacious, comfortable hotel with a great staff.

Give this hotel a miss. Location is not bad. Hotel looks good, that is where it ends. Service was terrible. Maids make noise at 7AM until late. Food at breakfast left a lot to be desired. Management opps forgot they don't have any. Stay somewhere else

Thr breakfast was as advertized - full breakfast, but eggs, potatoes, and bacon were cold. The room was very nice, and was an actual suite. It was quiet. The internet in the business center didnot work very well. I had to extend my stay, but unfortunately altough I wanted to stay there, they were booked.

The shuttle service from the airport was excellent. I called and the person was there in less than 5 minutes. We had another party arriving at a different terminal and the driver went to the other terminal and waited for the others to get their luggage and then drove us to the hotel. The next day we needed the shuttle service to take us to the convention center to be picked up by our cruise line bus. Although they did not normally take people to the convention center, they agreed to do so for free. A couple of people at the hotel told us no, but one person said we don't have anyone else scheduled for that time so we will put you on the list and take you. The convention center was only about 6 blocks from the hotel, but it saved us time and money that we would have spent on a taxi. Excellent customer service!

Very clean with modern interior. Close to restaurants and downtown. Tight parking shared with restaurant. Need better shower amenities. Nice place to stay. Very clean. Room was layed out nicely and the bed was very comfortable. Shower amenities were slim.

This hotel is very overrated and overpriced. The rooms are Ok and the service just barely OK but it is way too much for what you get. It is located within a 1/2 mile of downtown and thetre is a nice restaurant next door. I would not stay there again for the same money I can be right downtown and not have to walk in the rain. The front desk was also very rude whae you ask them the simplest questionthey act if they are doing you a service by tell you something.

We were part of a group of 16 seniors. The hotel Tour Director had to ask our coordinator how many rooms we had reserved. I think he should have known this when we checked in. Remote control for TV in setting room did not work and refrigerator gave off a high-pitched noise when it ""kicked in."" Maintenance man said original remote control had been stolen, replacement was the wrong kind. No action on refrigerator problem--finally unplugged it so we could sleep.

Good place to stay. It was convenient to the airport and they run a free shuttle. Clean room and nice staff.

Convenient to downtown. Restaurant next door used up all of the parking at dinner time. I had some issues with my room but the hotel management dealt with them promptly and effectively, so I really can't complain too much.

The over-all Hotel is very nice,But as you all know one Rude person can ruin the entire experience. The Front Desk is a total disater. 3 out of the 4 we encountered acted as though we were a real bother. On the other hand the shuttle drivers made our trip to and from other places in town very enjoyable. If you don't need front deak help it is an excellent place to stay.

Everything went pretty well, except for the first day we were there. There was some repairs and the workers were kind of lound and noisy just when we needed a rest. Other than that rooms were very clean and plenty of space. Pool was small, but only had time for fitness room anyway. Food was very good, specially at no charge. I was able to check in at 1:00 pm, which was a lot of help to me.

The room was more like a suite. You could hear the doors from the other rooms close loudly. This is very upscale I had a suite and I enjoyed it very much, The only thing wrong was that you could hear doors close from your room.

Our room was very nice with a separate sitting room. A full breakfast was served every day. Personnel were helpful and pleasant. They has a small indoor pool and spa which were nice to use as the end of the day. Reliable shuttle service.

We stayed here the night prior to our cruise. They picked us up from the airport on their free shuttle and even provided a free hot breakfast. The room was spacious and very comfortable. I definitely found a great hotel in the heart of Anchorage downtown!

When I first checked in the key did not work in the lock. They were able to switch me to another room and everything was great. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are a nice size. My room had a little kitchen. I wish I was there for more than one night. I will definitely stay there again. Great value for the money. It is just a few blocks away from downtown Anchorage and has restaurants near by. Also parking was free.

Our stay at the Hawthorn Suites in Anchorage was very nice. The staff was very helpful both at check in/out. The room was clean, comfortable and the lay-out is great (if you have a third party using the couch). The breakfast area was clean and well maintained throughout the meal time, and the menu provided a variety to choose from. I will be staying with them again in the future.
