Two words: Waffle Bar! Very nice continental breakfast in the morning, about a block from Nordstrom's, bus stop on the corner. The lobby is pleasant and the staff are friendly and helpful. The 2-bed rooms I've stayed in have a lounge area with its own tv that were separated from the bedroom area by a door so you could stay up without disturbing your roommate. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean.

The location was perfect. The staff was very nice. It was extremely hot but the management took care of it. Nice staff. The location was very convienent. The hotel needs a new or second elevator.

Arrived late, bed in room had dirty sheets, second room next to kitchen, woke me up at 6am. Not as nice as I had hoped.

Enjoyed our five nights in Anchorage area, 11 total nights in Alaska this trip. Clarion was above average but showing her age in lobby, hallways and rooms. Otherwise, very satisfactory for our party of occupying 4 ""suites.""

we went for the state music fesival and it was nice to be in nice rooms with a very friendly staff that even told us where to get great sushi.

Excellentfree breakfast buffet. Saw several drunk people wandering through the parking lot. Nice hotel, easy location. The free breakfast buffet was really great, the best I have come across in any hotel stay. One issue we had was some drunk people wandering through the parking lot. We made sure there weren't any valuables in the car and didn't have any problems though.

I stayed for three nights with my husband and sons ages 9 and 4. I loved having the boys in a seperate section of the room with a door between us. The pool area was clean. And it had the best breakfast I've had at a hotel; there was more than just bread items. The rooms were overly hot to us, but not to other visitors who were from the south. There's not a lot of parking but if you don't want a rental car, this is the hotel for you. We walked to the museum, theatre, salon and was one block from a really nice mall.

The contentinal breakfast was the best I have ever seen at any hotel. The hotel was within walking distance to all of downtown Anchorage.

Location, great rooms, great breakfast, will stay again. We stayed at the Anchorage Clarion twice in 2008, August & October. We stayed the 2nd time because we had such a good experience the first time. We have stayed at the Anchorage Millineum, Princess Cooper Landing, Princess Denali, Lands End, and as far as an Anchorage hotel we will stay at the Clarion next time. We usually come up every couple of years.

I liked the location. It was central to shopping mall. Parking. There was no parking anywhere when I arrived at the hotel. Pretty good place but very little parking. My room was not cleaned. I had to ask for fresh towels.

The Clairon Suites in Anchorage was an excellent choice. I had my 19 year old grandson and it so nice to have 2 dressing/sleeping areas. The hotel staff were all very professional and helpful. We were just a few blocks from the center of activities.I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The separate rooms where you can close the doors. Too hot in rooms. Bathtub too small. The hotel was really nice. I liked the pool because it was clean. For being on a busy road it was pretty quiet. The staff was nice and helpful.

Location is within walking distance of Downtown Anchorage. Pool was not open! Elevator smelled like stale beer/vinegar. Nice breakfast- hours should be later though like 7-10.

Customer service. Needs more Vending Machines. One on every floor. This hotel is in a great spot in Anchorage going to enjoy the night life. It has a great friendly staff.

The pool. The upper rim of the tub was dirty under the faucet. Excellent location, small pool great for kids. Beds were comfortable and clean.
