I paid $*** a night, plus tax, for what was at best a $*** a night room. Despite having a corner room, it was tiny. There was about 2 feet of walking space on all three sides of the bed. They have old, crappy little 19" TVs (if that big). They have old, cheap and shaky bellman carts. Everything about the hotel reeked of old. Expecting a "business center" of some sort? They have a computer in the lobby where they actually charge you to use it -- 10 cents a minute. I paid $160.00 a night, and I have to pay to pull a Mapquest off the computer? If you want a good room, look at Candlewood Suites. You get much better accommodations, and they're much less expensive (I paid $90.00 a night there). Big room, fantastic bedding (seriously one of the most comfortable mattresses I've slept on), kitchenette, desk with nice rolling desk chair. A MUCH better option than the Clarion.

This hotel is in a good location and fairly well maintained for it's age. Our non-smoking room smelled of stale cigarette smoke especially in the drapes. Soap and water could have corrected this.

it was our first time going to hot springs and with two young children we didn't know what to expect but the hotel was on the lake which was positive. They had a nice swimming pool for adults and kids. They had a big sand area where kids could play and a small slide for kids. They also had a volleyball net set up. We had breakfast at the Classic Restaurant at the hotel and the food was excellent. The hotel staff was friendly and prompt especially, when we had a small maintenance issue in the bathroom. The beds were so comfortable that my husband his best sleep in years. My husband, I and our kids had a great time and would go back to The Clarion hotel in a heart beat.

I had never been to this city and the hotel was easy to find, a good location from which to explore the area. Very nice to be right on the lake and I made good use of the balcony (which was a surprise!) every day. The burger at the Classics was awesome. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I hope to return to Hot Springs and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

If you're looking for a big, fancy hotel room, dont come here. What you will get, however, is a nice, clean room with good service. Although the rooms are a bit on the small side, they were clean, updated, and had nice comfortable beds. The location is out of the way of the downtown area, but that is precisely what we were looking for. Each room has a small balcony that overlooks the lake. They also have a mini fridge and a microwave, which was very convenient. All in all, I felt it was a bit pricey, but I was still pleased and would stay there again.

This was my scond stay at this hotel. I must tell you that the first stay I was on the 3rd floor and didn't get to take advantage of the view. However, the second visit allowed us to get on the 6th floor and the view was excellent. The room was clean however the hallways were not. It looked as if housekeeping quit as soon as they cleaned the rooms. There were big plastic bags with linens and comforters in the hallway. Along with the buggy that transfers the dirty linens. A tray from room service in the hall. One of the elevators had been down for two days so I figured that might be the problem. However, when we checked in at 6:30pm...left and came back at 10:30pm. No improvement on housekeeping. Verry close to LOTS of dining. I think we just caught them at a bad weekend. Will I go back? Yes. Will I try another hotel? yes. Always keeping the options open.

Great hotel for a long weekend, pool area is very nice.The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Back Porch Grill across the street is a great place to eat.

It was in a great location on the lake and close to fine dining. We will stay on the lake side of the hotel next time instead of the bridge/lake side. This hotel was fantastic. Clean/attractive rooms, friendly hotel staff, and comfortable setting.

The hotel staff was efficient, friendly, and immediately attentive to our needs. The room was exactly as it was represented with a nice view of the lake. It was clean and cool and tastefully decorated. The location was a little inconvienent from downtown, but we chose to stay on the lake instead of in the downtown area. The tranquility of the lake was nice to come home to after a busy day of exploring the town. We really enjoyed our stay.

"Even though when you got off on the 5th floor it smelled musty, the room was adequate for our weekend trip. The staff was great, housekeeping was accomdating as well as front desk. Restaurant had a great atmosphere and food ... yummy!"

"We stayed on a Saturday night. We were charged a higher rate than was quoted. There was no tissue in the bathroom. The hotel is very dated - 1970's style. The room was big, but was musty. Smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The fromt desk help was not friendly. Hotel is on the water, but the room rate is so high to stay on the water side is so high, it would not be worth it."

It was on the lake. We received a room with a view of a volley ball net and werent allowed to change. The hotel staff was not friendly! Only one staff member was helpful with providing information with things to do within the city. The view we received was dissatisfying because we were not allowed a lake view.
