The room needs to be remodeled but it is clean. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was my 10 year old daughter left her ipod on the bedside table in the morning and was gone when we came back in the afternoon.

Staff were nice. The place is old and tired. Rooms are dingy with rusted fixtures, stained carpets and dated interiors. Lot's of nice restaurants in the Sacramento Mid-town location.

The worst hotel I've stayed in in quite awhile. I traveled with five other women who each had a separate room and we all had negative experiences. 1) room smell off 2) looking dilapidated 3) TV not working properly and could not figure out how to access movies 4) parking spaces too narrow 5) dirty towels in the shower when checked in 6) no bath tubs 7) no deadbolts 8) maid walked in during the night 9) no hot tub. 10) could not figure out how to use coffee maker. 11) one ice machine on whole ground floor and hard to find 12) weird floor layout that made it hard to find things.

I came at the hotel on a Sunday at 1.30 PM. No other cars were in the parking, and no movement in the hotel. Before I aproach the front desk, the lady from the other side of the desk yell at me "Yes?" and after I told her that I have a reservation she start barking "Check in is at 3 PM". I think her name is [...]. I didn't ask her name twice, I was afraid that she is gone "bite my head off"I came back at 3 when she was gone already, and thank you God I find [...] who help me with all information I needed. Great customer service attitude. From there everything was fine, decent maintain and clean room for the money and perfect location.

I was given a room for a handicapped person. The room had a bathroom door that was broken. The room was next to a walkway so you can hear everybody coming in and out and slamming doors.

"I was surprised to see a sign somewhere that it had been renovated in '02. Looked like a throwback to the 1970s. But, they were responsive when I asked them to fix the non-working thermostat (or I would have to leave). The location can't be beat, and they even provided a little pool-side dinner service at my request. Rates aren't bad, and I've seen both better and worse."

"After reading the other reviews on this hotel, when I arrived, I thought I might me at the wrong hotel. The staff treated me like royalty, welcoming me to the hotel with a gift bag, tellilng me that they were expecting me vs ""checking in"". I travel for business and rarely see this kind of treatment. This hotel has a great location and a wonderful charm about it. This looks like my new home away from home when I travel to Sacramento. I'll be back!!!"

Carpet is full of stains, room is not clean. Coffee maker is not working , you can't use the chair because it's full of stains , also the carpet. The room had a bad smell when you enter.Overall it was not that bad experience.

"Exterior and the lobby of this hotel are nice. However, there were holes in the hallway ceiling from leaks and the place smelled as old as it looked. My room was VERY cold because the entire wall was a sliding glass door to the courtyard. I turned on the very loud heater and after 2 hours I was still freezing! The toilet ran and there was no bathtub, only a shower. At 9 p.m. on my first night there I checked out and drove to a Hampton Inn in Rancho Cordova to get a decent night's sleep. For a chain you'd expect better, I'd definitely avoid this Clarion!"

No bathtub, just shower. Hotel is older, I'm guessing that's why there wasn't a bathtub. Heating control didn't work properly and was really loud! Heater would come on to cool room but add heat, after turning unit off twice at 5 a.m., it kicked back on by itself.

We had VERY slow service in the restaurant and never could connect to Internet. On the dingy side.

Microwave and mini fridge in room. Too many to mention. Just don't stay here! Dated, dinghy carpets. Broken light switches, ghetto type locks on dirty room door, TV that had limited channels and was fuzzy. Noisy heater, funky smell in room!

"I was visiting for 2 nights and could not sleep due to the airconditioning unit making so much noise. The television service did not work for the entire time and when I asked the front desk what was going on, they responded that they always have problems with the television reception. Why put a television in the room if you can't view it? The swimming pool area was so littered with food boxes that for the first time ever my 8 year old didn't want to swim. The breakfast in the restaurant was served on styrofoam plates and plastic forks."

Wireless internet access. The hallway stank, the bed was uncomfortable, and the room was dingy. Far below what I would have expected from a Clarion Hotel, furniture was stained, the TV had poor reception, the bed was horribly uncomfortable and the whole place smelled bad. I left after the first of what was asked for 2 nights, I just couldn't stand to stay there another night.
