Date of Stay:

Close to Captain George's restaurant.
Date of Stay:
October, 2008
When we checked in to our room it was pretty clean, but the heater/air conditioner didn't work, so they gave us a portable heater for the room. There wasn't a free breakfast, in fact there was no breakfast at all. When we asked him about the breakfast first he said that his chef wasn't answering the phone, and when another couple asked about it he said that they didn't serve breakfast. I stayed there before when it was the Ramada Inn and enjoyed it, but I will never stay there again.
Date of Stay:
July, 2008
First room had leaking air conditioner and smelled of mold. Switched to second room and the air conditioner didn't even come on and lights didn't come one. Switched to third room that had mold on ceiling/walls in bathroom and shower, leaking vent in ceiling above toilet, carpets and couch dirty, one pillow was dried . A washrag folded in decorative manner and slipped into handtowel fold had dried substance resembling snot but much larger. We stayed for 2 nights so this was a washcloth brought in by the maid after the first night and she should have noticed/felt this. First desk clerk told us to make sure we parked by pool, which was full. Second desk clerk told us that they rent rooms in back for 45./night on long term basis and she felt people in America paid too much for hotels and didn't understand why these people didn't go get an apartment or house. We had trouble with the door closing/locking on the room and were very nervous after her comments about her long term tenants. We paid 94. a night for what was supposed to be a suite but was just a larger room. I had to wait to check out while the desk clerk spoke to another customer about switching their room. When I told the desk clerk about the washrag, he just shrugged like he was used to complaints. We have stayed at Clarion many times and loved one of the hotels in Florida. I do not recommend this hotel. I don't usually write reviews but others need to be aware of this situation.

We needed extra blanket they didn't bring it to us we had to go get it .

Pool picture on this site is incorrect. Remote building behind main building with swimming pool is very inconvenient, an kind of sleezy. Continental breakfast area is very, very, small. Continental breakfast was the worst I had ever seen, so I went to IHOP and had a great breakfast. I normally stay at Comfort Suites, so the name "Clarion Inn and Suites" pulled me in (to thinking it is on the same level). This was a very dissapointing stay, so I left early and went home. Bummer. . . . . .

Great location and clean comfortable bed. I am pleased overall and would only suggest staff let patrons know how long elevators would be under construction. It was an inconvenience, but not worth a real complaint as I understand it can take time.

This was our first stay since it changed to Clarion from Ramada and I have to say it was a pleasure staying there. The rooms were very nice and very clean. The beds were comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed it so much that we plan to stay there again when we return in August. We would recomend it to anyone.

I liked the location. It was close to the outlets and Captain George's. The room had trash from previous, coffee pot was nasty, our towels were taken to clean and didn't replace them until 4:00 pm. Couldn't shower. Not very considerate of customers' needs. Replaced dirty coffee pot with another dirty one after telling us they would give us a new one. Not having enough towels for the customers is tacky. I've never been to a hotel where I couldn't shower because I didn't have clean towels. That really hindered our plans We lost 6 hours of leisure time. The hotel also advertises free wireless internet. Well, we could not get a signal in the back building where we were placed (old building), so we couldn't get work done. It was quite an inconvenience.

I've been to Williamsburg hundreds of times and NEVER stayed in such a filthy place. Halls nasty smelling, elevator nasty, beds sag in the middle, bathroom dirty, box spring looked like someone messed all over it,towels Big Brown Stain's, I'll never stay here and the place is way over priced

It didn't have bugs. Staff was rude, no working ice machines, and pool was closed. The stay in this hotel was a disaster. First we had asked for conjoined rooms and was told on the day I confirmed reservations that they were all set and ready. When we get there, they were not together, they were across the hall from each other and all other rooms were already occupied. Not a single ice maker worked in the entire hotel and the listed amenities (fridge and microwave especially) were not provided and the Hotel said it was Priceline.com's mistake for listing them and I should take it up with them. I will never recommend a Clarion Suite to anyone I know ever again.

Don't make the same mistake that we did! The hotel isn't anything close to what they describe! No service, sagging beds, very small rooms, very noisy, air con doesn't work well, cleaning stinks, rooms smell, very small bathrooks. I could go on and on.

King sized bed. Not very accommodating to our needs or requests. The management doesn't seem to be on top of things. Our 1st room was unclean even though we arrived at almost 5 pm, placed us in another room heavily smoke scented, had to buy candles in order to breathe through smoke smell. Housekeeping could not get scent out! Management claimed they had no other non-smoking rooms! This was our 27th anniversary and the hotel stay was disappointing.

Check-in was rushed and rude, I was the only customer and directions to room were inadequate.

New decor; friendly staff. Very loud neighbors at night; were housed in middle of wedding party. Newly painted but old motel, second bldg. long way from lobby. Nothing working right: heat/temp control in room, bathroom sink, elevator, ice machine all broken or marginal. very few amenities, even missing trash can in room. Unattractive exterior, no landscaping. staff made big mistake housing 2 seniors (us) next to several rooms full of wedding party; no sleep for old folks!

Bathrooms were clean. Check in was the pits. After 3 rooms I finally got one I could live in. First room was occupied and a smoking room. Second room no remote control, ice bucket, unable to lock the door. Third took remote and ice bucket with me. No top sheets or comforter, no clock radio, no iron, unable to receive message on thew room phone. Neither of the rooms had WiFi. All the above were listed as included with the rooms. I am very dissatisfied with this hotel.

Inexpensive, nice lobby, clean sheets andcomfortable bed. Bathroom had ants, balcony sliding door off track, trash on balcony. Good hotel. Nothing extravagent, but the room was decent. The bathroom needed remodeling and the balcony door needed to be fixed, but decent place overall.

Very clean and modern. Hotel staff could have been a little nicer. Hotel was very convenient to all the attractions that my husband and I were going too. The hotel room was very clean and modern. The staff was pretty nice.

Spacious room, comfortable beds, and nice pillows. Room was fine. However, the front desk staff did not answer the phone on two occasions. Was not there upon checkout (could not find anyone and waited for 10 minutes). I confirmed upon check-in that there was high speed internet. However, upon trying to get on-line, I found out I needed a code and password, something the front desk could have mentioned and told me what it was when I asked about using the internet.

It was quiet for much needed rest and relaxation. There was nothing I didn't like. We were in Williamsburg for some much needed rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the work week. We enjoyed shopping at the outlet malls and the hotel is right next to our favorite Mexican restaurant La Tolteca!

Amenities, comfort, housekeeping. No ice machine nearby, no refrigerator in room. This is a nice hotel and relatively close to Colonial Williamsburg. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and it is in close driving distance of general-interest stores. There was no ice machine near the room, but if you take your ice bucket to the front desk, they'll fill it for you from the restaurant. I would stay here again.
