Staff was very friendly. Room was dark and cleaners didn't mix well, so smelled strong. For me the location was great. The room was dark and needed to be updated, but the beds were comfortable. The smell in the room was from the cleaner, but the two cleaners combined made a nasty smell that didn't go away.

1. Nice hotel, 15 minutes from San Jose Convention center. 2. Located on kind of "high way" so nothing can be reached with out a car(!).

This is an older hotel/looks nice on outside but inside could use some maintenance help. Our room was nice and had a jacuzzi which we enjoyed. The staff was helpful in finding a place to eat nearby. The Bay Buffet was good food at a very reasonable price. Near the airport and light rail system but our room was quiet. We appreciated the laundry facilities

Hotel is in a questionable area of town - we observed a number of ""working girls"" amidst the numerous liquor stores and nightclubs. Rooms nice, but hallways and outside smelled strongly of cigarettes/smoke. 2 1/2 stars might be a bit closer to accurate.

I stayed 2 nights in Sept 2008. Comfortable large room with a good bed. Slept like a log. Frig didn't keep my beverages very cold. Located near liquor stores, repair shops, bars, but hotel property seemed secluded and safe enough. I didn't try breakfast because it was finished at 9 a.m. and I slept late. Front desk staff helpful and courteous. Looks like an older hotel but everything but frig in fine condition. I'd stay here again.

We had an electrical fire in our room due to a faulty lamp. We were told we could change rooms due to the heavy smoke but, no one came to help or bring a new key. Poor follow through on a bad situation.

Every staff was extremely nice. The location was inconvenient for me. I think this place is good for those traveling by car and just stopping by to stay the night. I like the staff very much, friendly and helpful. Also, the chinese food deliverly was very quick.

This hotel is located in a ""mixed use"" area; car repair shops, other small hotels, & a few trailer parks. Not a walking area (no restaurants). Downtown is a very short drive. Clean hotel, good free wifi, nice breakfast room. I would stay here again.

How quick they had my room ready. That the water was off for two hours. The hotel was good other than the water being of for two hours, the room was good.

It was available. It was the noisiest room I have ever stayed in. Poor acoustic insulation (walls windows). I could hear everything going on in the next room.

Friendly staff. Partial repairs to room ceiling. Hotel not in Downtown, without car you are stranded, hot tub not working, nowhere good to eat within walking distance, rooms in dire need of repair and updating. Outside of friendly staff, I would not recommend.

The lobby was quaint. It was right next to metro and the sink was in the bedroom area. The area is not too great as far as things to do around the area are concerned. An older hotel that right next to the metro. Don't stay here if you are a light sleeper. Not too much to do in the area unless you have a car or take the metro someplace else. The staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast was a little disappointing, not good if you are diabetic because all they have are carbs to eat.

The furnishings were pleasant. The neighborhood - star rating surprised me. The hotel was more a moderate priced hotel in a crummy neighborhood. Few restaurants available and kind of creepy area. Close to the airport and clean. It was fine since we were there one night and needed to be at the airport early.

Good beds. Poor pillows and poor breakfast. It is located in one of the worst areas of san Jose. High crime etc. We would never have selected this hotel had we known about the area.

Staff was very helpful. It is located right on a busy street. For the price, it was good place to base out of while doing business in Southern area of San Jose.

Friendly, helpful desk staff. No problems. It was everything that we needed while visiting family. They welcomed our little granddaughter whenever she arrived (with our son) to pick us up. The room was quiet and comfortable.
