From airport pick up forward my experience with hotel staff was excellent. Front desk was cheerful and accommodating and room cleaning service was prompt and efficient. Not a 'high end' hotel but great for the price!

How close it was to public transportation and airport. No pool, pay to use computer in business center, exercise room was not too appealing. Rooms were ok, nothing special. Housekeeping was good. Had a complimentary breakfast, but nothing fancy or special. New papers available, but usually gone very early. No pool, which I would have used. Had to pay $5 for 20 minutes of computer use. Parking was $8 per day.

Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. When I reported a minor issue in the room, the staff immediately and pleasantly addressed the issue.

close to the city, easy access to LaGuardia, the rooms were clean, friendly helpful staff.....reasonable rates, good variety with the continental breakfast, i would stay there again.

I have printed off pages from their web site. These I will be sending to Clarion. On one page it states "enjoy a cocktail after a long flight or dine in our newly renovated cafe." Neither one of these amenities exist! Another page states "Complimentary Hotel Shuttle which is available 24 hours, whether leaving to the airport or hustling off to the game at Shea or Yankee Stadiums or to see the US Open." It is only availabe to and from the airport. If you want to go anywhere else, you must find alternate transportation. These are the three prime reasons why we opted for this hotel. The main reason for this trip was to see Yankee Stadium befor it is razed. We were very much intending on using the Hotel shuttle to take us to and from the game. Instead I had to pay a round trip taxi fare to go to Yankee Stadium. To get the refreshing cocktail, you would have to take the shuttle back to the airport. But be early, their lounge closes at 8:30PM. We could only get a meal after taking public transportation into Manhattan. There are NO dining eastablishments are within walking distance of this hotel. These lies infuriated me greatly. Our trip to the Big Apple was a fantastic experience other than this hotel, and plannig on utilizing all three of these web site published features. Not only would I never stay there again. I want to do anything I can to make sure no one else does either. I hope the travel website has a way to remove this sty from their list of available lodging.

Helpful and friendly front desk. The smell of the rooms. Friendly and help full front deck. Cheap parking for NY. The Rooms stink, The shower did not work. The cleaning crew was yelling down the halls and banging on our door at 9am. But the price was right. Overall I was pleased.

The location of the hotel is great if you have an early morning flight out of laguardia but the outside traffic is tough. bathrooms are tiny and unless you get a king size bed, the rooms are really small. hotel feels rundown and the cost is high but it's nyc laguardia so ...... help at the grill is very nice though the menu is somewhat limited.

Their front desk were not friendly, they charge $8.00 per day for car park, their room are so congested and their bed linen have blood stains. Not up to 3 star hotel, they should be rated 1 star hotel.

I stayed here because it was reasonably priced, and I got what I paid for. The hallway was in a state of construction, but the room looked and smelled clean, with the exception of mildew in the shower tiles. The bathroom was very small, as was the shower. Check in was quick and secure, and the clerk was extremely helpful. The breakfast was okay, but the next morning the lobby was still cluttered with trash from the previous meal. The airport shuttle was convenient, but get down early because it fills up fast!!!If you are looking for acceptable overnight accomadations, this is a good deal. I would not recommend it if you are with a significant other, though, or a business client.

The room was very clean, staff was very friendly esp. shuttle guy. Just one thing..I was at the end of the hall which is on a hill. Going to my room was down hill, but leaving was uphill and I was out of breath everytime I went to front desk.

The staff were excellent. The shower could have used to be replaced. It was great for me just to sleep there and get out into NY.

The room was clean but the bathroom looked like a home made refurbished bathroom. They packed a lot of stuff in the small confines of the room so it felt a little congested.

Okay, let's just start by saying that I have stayed at several Clarion Hotels over the years. For the most part, they were all great quality for the price. However, this particular one outside of New York's La Guardia Airport was HORRIBLE! I use this particular word becasue the actual language I want to use would not be allowed for print on travel online, suffice to say, it would probably contain harsh language. The floor I was placed on looked like something you would find in a movie about some of those disgusting "by the hour" hotels . Paint chipping, carpet peeled back and torn from the walls, and trash, dirt, dust all over the floor, as though no one had bothered to run a vaccum on that floor in several days, possibly weeks. I found an empty liquor bottle in the hallway. On my way to my room, I noticed a few doors that weren't exactly closed all the way. When I entered my room, and allowed the door to close by itself, it did not. I had to push hard to get it to close. Again, like the outside, the carpet in my room was disgusting. There was no alarm clock in the room. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!

Very friendly and helpful staff, very knowledgable about MTA system and getting around a big city. Will stay again.

The counter staff was friendly. It was a pit. It was far less than I expected. The hallway was threadbare and smelled as though one hundred people spent 8 hours a day smoking in it. The room was passable but on the ground floor of a very busy intersection. It was impossible to sleep. The room was cold when I got there and it took a while for the heat to kick in. Overall a miserable experience after a long day.

Excellent staff, they met to our every needs. Very friendly!!!!! Accomodations were modest, but met our every need. Dominican restuarant half a block away was great. Food and entertainment. Shuttle was very prompt and professional. Do not expect the four seasons, but the stay was affordable and nice.

From the bus to the subway it was almost an hour to the city.......Thankfully my husband knew his way around so it wasnt that bad.Overall we had a good experience and could laugh about it.

While the location of the Clarion was super convenient, I wasn't impressed with the staff. They weren't rude, per se, but there wasn't much effort on their part to make the stay more than simply acceptable. I asked the girl at the desk to give me the number of taxi company, and she gave me the number of a limosine company. I didn't know until the limosine was already on the hotel's doorstep. Also their bathroom signs tell you to ask for things you've forgetton. A nice courtesy, but when I asked them to bring up a common item, they didn't have it. Also, their continental breakfast is kind of a zoo--not enough space to accomodate the patrons--although the food wasn't too bad.
