I was "upgraded" to a king suite on arrival at no charge. The staff was very friendly and professional. I used the fitness center which was equipped with all state of the art equipment. Indoor pool was well kept. My "king suite" was immaculate; I will definitely send my friends and family there. The purpose of my trip was a job relocation (drove from Florida) and the hotel was literally walking distance from my new neighborhood. I was even able to check out late to sign my lease. I left behind my cell phone charger but called the next morning to find that it was waiting for me at the front desk!! I was very pleased and give the highest possible recommendation!

Looked great. Small intake to the hotel would make it look great. The hotel stay was great, and room looked nice as well as the lake view. The only things I would recommend is that they fix small up take such as the bathroom sink face board, sink was falling apart, and the bathroom tub need re chalked or replaced. But the room was great other then that. The service was great, and it felt very spacious.

Very well situated for access to the Indianapolis track. Beware the room close by the indoor pool. There can be a lot of noise from children, sometimes quite late in the evening...

My room was moldy, moldy all around the ceiling and walls, the room smelled like mold and pets. The comforters on both beds had urine and blood stains on the underside, there were spider eggs in areas of the room, the hotel key card had to be re-set 3 times, the coffee maker did not have all the pieces to make coffee. There was no public Micro-wave oven available. But my room did have a great view of the lakefront but not worth the 70 a night! I plan to go back to Indianapolis but never again at the Clarion.

I loved the atrium area, how the pool was, kids loved it. Don't go in doorways outside that lead to your room if there's geese there got charged by them. Would definitely try to stay here again next time we go to Indianapolis.

The airport shuttle was not running and was shut down when we arrived at the airport. Our attempts to contact the hotel were met with rude response and shouting that shuttle could not come for two hours, if at all. Taxi ride to hotel was 25.00 from airport. Met by same desk clerk who once again was curt, abrupt and rude. Desk clerk also demanded a credit card even though room was prepaid. The same Clerk demanded credit card upon arrival and in the morning. A conversation with the manager in the morning cleared up the situation. The manager was pleasant and apologetic to us. Don't know how the manager retrained the desk clerk. A sad experience in a nice city.

Our personal room was fairly clean however, the safety lock mechanism was missing from the door, the outlets were loose from the wall and the hole in the bathroom door had been poorly repaired. My parents separate room was unclean including unvacuumed, a razor cap on the sink and other trash in the floor. Their outlets were also loose from the way. Several stairwells had loose and/or missing ceiling panels and one of the circuit breaker boxes was loose from the wall. The banquet manager did come review the room with them to take notes and the clerk had offered keys to a 2nd room to look at- it was even dirtier! The hot tub jets only half worked although at least the pool seemed reasonably well kept and there were fresh towels. The highlight of our stay at this location was the continental breakfast which was plentiful with good variety, the dining area was the cleanest of the hotel and the staff in this department were the nicest. My father left 2 messages on Tuesday for the hotel manager- both were never returned. We will each be contacting the corporate office and providing the pictures of the facility that we took. While I understand that maintenance is ongoing, the overall upkeep of this location as well as the uncleanliness is NOT at all with the expectation of a Clarion.

Pool was nice. Hotel shows great deal of lack of maintenance. Hotel needs to be remodeled or better maintenance, but other than that it was nice. also needs WiFi computer.

This was the worst experience I had in a hotel ever. I made reservations for 5 nights as part of my business trip. However some of the meetings were cancelled so I had to checkout after 3 nights. I did not get my money back for the 2 nights I didnot stay... can you believe that? Don't ever stay in this hotel again. Its a rip off.

Not all of the extras available. We found that the hotel rooms carpet was not recently cleaned, the shower drained slowly, the shower floor was dirty andthe whirlpool was hot but the jets did not work at all. No resturaunt.

I stayed at this location and was totally outdone with the rooms. The first room was not cleaned bath tube very dirty, toliet rings in the bowl, both beds covers stained with old blood spots and mattress was very stained (blood) running down the sides. When I attempted to call the front desk I descovered that there was no phone in the room. The other bed was no better it also had stains on the covers and a penny was founded in the bed which lead me to believe that the sheets had not been changed. We were given another room and found that room to have the same things going on, plus spider webs streaming from the lamp shades walls had some kind of dried substain running down it. Because of traveling with a bus load of people and not being able to cancel stay we had to go out and purchase cleaners, pillows and other items just to make it through the night. Needless to say I will not stay at this location ever again. Then when discussed with others that were traveling with me they also had the same experiences from blood stains, spiders, ants, and unlcean bathrooms, etc.I don't understand how you can expect your clients to continue patronizing you with conditions as these.

Nothing. Hotel in serious disrepair. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was the front desk staff was friendly. Otherwise, this was the worst hotel I've stayed at in many years. Not in a great neighborhood. The decor was ugly and old. The manual security lock on the door was broken. It actually looked like the door had been kicked in at some point. The wallpaper was peeling and paint job terrible. In places, the many former colors were visible. There was a beer can laying on the ground right in front of the entrance. Pool looked okay, but closed too early. Breakfast was over too early. Basically, just not a good experience and would not recommend without some serious updating.

We were staying for 5 nights. In Indy for a conference with 4 students. Rooms were not cleaned one of the days while the management assured me that it would be handled. They were very apologetic, but they tried to make it our fault. The management told me that I would be getting a free nights stay in a choice hotel for my trouble. Instead, today when I checked the mail, my free nights stay was there, but not to any choice hotel. It was to the same one I just had the horrible experience in. Why would I want to go back and chance that kind of service again. Nicer hotels are all around for about what we paid. No thank you Clarion, Lakefront in Indianapolis, IN.

The staff was friendly. Worn out, needs a complete over haul. Location is good and front desk staff friendly but the place is worn out, would not stay there again.

First Clarion I stayed in. Usually stay in Choice Hotels and this was a disappointment. I thought Clarions were suppose to be one of the nicer hotels of the chain. Lacked cleanliness of halls, & rooms mostly. Nothing real terrible but I would not stay there again. Outside need cleaning & maybe some landscaping would not hurt. Pool & jaccuzi looked dirty. Maybe the smells are due to the pool being on the inside & not enclosed in a seperate room.

It was off the beaten path. The streets and access to the hotel are terrible. It was comfortable and priced well. The stay was good and I will recommend it to others. It was a good ways outside the main city area but it was nice to be away from the noise.

I had a wonderful stay at the Clarion Hotel I had a poolsode suite which was wonderful when I looked out I can see my teenagers swimming having fun we were there for our family reunion and the wonderful ladys in the sales office gave our family a hospitality room for us to gather in. I think it was a nice stay. I really loved the service and the hotel.

Nothing, unfortunately. Filthy, smelly, very late on check in, dirty, etc. We were disgusted by this hotel. Our room was not ready at 5pm when we arrived, even though check in time is 4pm. The lobby, hallways and rooms smelled terrible - the hot tub had yellow water and the room was very filthy. One pillow and a towel had stains all over them. The shower had many hairs in it and the floor needed to be vacuumed. We will never stay there again.

"Stayed here one night to attend a race at IRP. Outside of hotel needs repair and paint, very grungy looking. Inside smelled like chlorine or cleaning fluid everywhere including room and bed. Room AC unit falling out of wall and sounded like WW III going off. Security lock ripped off of door which had about 1.5 inch gap above floor. Very disappointed in overall appearance and cleanliness. Would not stay here again."
