Clean, comfortable with good air conditioning. Excellent location and good value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Clarion. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a bit on the small size and the carpet could do with cleaning, but other than that, it was fine and the bed was extremely comfortable. The nicest surprise was the balcony which overlooked the quay, absolutely wonderful. We were going to a concert in the 02 so didn't have time to eat at the hotel. It's an 8 minute walk to the 02, perfect. Be warned . . . the car park at the hotel is tiny (28 places, I think), and the road outside the hotel is a clearway so there is no parking available Monday - Saturday.

Very nice hotel.....nice area too....The hotel is expertly placed for the O2 concert arena (the Point) with a 10 minute walk down the quays sufficient to reach the venue. The staff were very friendly and room was spotless and more than adequate space-wise. The only downsides for me were the charge for parking, the obscure location of the parking area and the fact that our rate did not include breakfast. There was however numerous diners/bagels bars closeby which more than made up for this missing.

A very fine hotelThis is an excellent, modern hotel in the redeveloped quays area of Dublin - easy access to Connolly Station and the O2. A very cool hotel, the only drawback being the overpriced breakfast which was lacking any soda or potato bread or baked beans.

my brother at neil young concertalthough we only stead 1 night it was fantastic service was excellent and front desk were quick and very helpful, food was good but i thought 15 euro was too much but that wont stop me coming back again. everything was close by espically the o2 arena which was walking distance and not far to local bars on the south side of the city. all in all a gr8 hotel and worth the money and i dont think it will be long bfore im back!!!!!!!!!

Everything was spot-on. Big, comfortable spacious room, very comfortable bed. Food was superb, staff were very attentive and helpful, even let us check in early. Good gym and pool, though you have to bring or buy a swim hat and lock for the lockers.Great location for the O2 and for central Dublin. There was even a courtesy bus to and from the airport. This hotel made a weekend break feel like a week's holiday!

a fantastic hotel, right at the heart of the city,,clean,friendly,comfortable...simply brilliant stayMy wife and I travelled for a def leppard concert at the nearby 02 arena, the hotel was about 10 mins walk from both the concert venue and the bus station, ideal for me as i'd never been in dublin before.Upon arrival which was slightly early the lady at reception booked us in with no problem and checked to see if our room was ready, which it was.Through using laterooms our booking details were already printed and awaiting our signature and payment...perfect.The hotel room was a comfortable size with everything needed provided within and the hotel itself was very friendly and cosmopolitan, with people of all ages and walks of life enjoying their stay.Plenty of mini marts and bistros are nearby and an excellent resturant(kudos) and bar where also within the hotel.Loved our stay and would not hessiate in booking and staying there again when in dublin...brilliant.

Comfortable room in a very central locationWe travelled to Dublin to catch a show in the O2. The location of the accomodation was critical. The Clarion hit the spot. Reception was very polite and helpful and the actual room was of a high standard.

Disappointed with stayBooked in on Saturday afternoon. Went out early Sunday morning and stayed out till 5 o'clock. On arriving back discovered room had not been cleaned. At 6.30 we were told room would be cleaned immediately. Returned at 10.30. Room had still not been cleaned. No fresh towels or toiletries for two days. In fairness to management, apologised profusely and reduced bill to compensate - but still!!! One other complaint - apparently it is the policy of the hotel not to open the main bar on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. This was not stated on the website. The residents bar has no television and we ended up watching Ireland play Bulgaria in our room as the weather was too bad to go out. Not a good idea for a hotel trying to attract customers in a difficult economic climate. Will not be staying here again.

Comfort at the ClarionMy wife and i stayed here recently, and though it was for only for one night, we found the Clarion to be one of the best hotels we've stayed in.The staff were kind, courteous, and very helpfull, and may we say, well presented. The room was spotlessly clean with beautiful decor and the location was perfect.Breakfast was lovely with plenty of everything available. We would definately recommend a stay at the Clarion. We have stayed in many hotels across Europe and they could certainly learn a lot from the Clarion as it has everything one would expect from a hotel and would like to thank all the Staff.

The hotel was grand, for the price of the room I think a breakfast should be included. The location was good for concerts , the pool area could be more child friendly.

One night stop overHotel was excellent value, staff very friendly and helpful, food very good and the price of a pint was reasonable. definitely recommend it to anyone who wishes to stay in a hotel near the O2. There was no parking available at the hotel and there was considerable disruption with road works. I had to park a good distance from the hotel. Other than that hiccup, I enjoyed my stay very much and plan to return.

We had a pleasant overnight stay when going to a concert at the point which is about a 12 minute walk away. The room and facilities were adequate but I would have expected a little bit more finesse in a 4 star hotel - not just pricey drinks in the bar. The room was comfortable if a little small but we had a balcony and a nice view over the liffey. The pool, sauna and jacuzi were nice but cleanliness in the changing rooms could have been better and reception did not have enough locks for the changing lockers.Probably a little on the pricey side for what it is. Discovered Jury's was only two blocks away and also overlooking the river and much cheaper. I think the Clarion should offer a little more for this level of pricing (150GBP without breakfast)

Tina Turner experienceThere was some confusion about the bookng when I arrived but the hotel was very convenient to the 02, where Tina proved she still has it.

We booked a superior double room which was the same as an ordinary double but the room was clean. The breakfast was terrible - it was a buffet breakfast and there were no rashers or eggs - and totally overpriced. Sorry to say we won't be rushing back.

Lack of parking and too expensiveI was disappointed that there was no parking spaces available for residents. I was told if I did find a parking space in the car park it would cost €14+ which was considered a 'discount for residents'! I assumed parking would be included in the cost or at least available and at a more reasonable price! You can park in Connolly Station for €5 for one day thus it is very unreasonable considering you are paying €109 already.
