We stayed some dazs in this old classi Hotel. The staff is not always giving his best, you have to negotiate the service, it does not seem to come naturally which is a pity as the substance and location is fine. If they would be challenged it would be difficult to keep the classification of 4 stars Compared to other Hotel 30% cheaper in the neighbourhood, its not not value for money

The Claridge was a very nice hotel. It had comfortable beds and bedding. The bathroom was small as indicated in the writeup but certainly acceptable. There was a desk and a table and a nice size closet. The swimming pool and sundeck were a bonus for us as the weather was lovely. The breakfast, included in the price was nicer than usual, with hot dishes as well as various pastries, breads, meats and even champagne! The location in in Microcentre which was not attractive to me. However, I would stay there again. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

| Suoerbly located facility with old world charm and quality, a bit of mayhem around the reception area from time to time. Hope to stay there on my next visit.

Pleased generally with Claridge Hotel, however, location was awful. Once outside the hotel it was noisy, smelly, dusty and not in keeping with the general ambience of the hotel. Probably would not stay there again despite excellent value.

Great classic look and feel. Lots of marble and dark wood. Very safe and secure. Staff speaks English very well. Excellent spa, nice rooftop pool. Outstanding location in el Centro area. Only a few steps to aver. Florida near aver. LaSalle, the heart of the shopping district. Two blocks to galleria pacific. Walk to san tempo antiques district in 30 minutes. Breakfast buffet has good variety for all diets. Price-fix dinner menu limited, food is nicely prepared and presented. A great value, definitely the place to stay for those who like shopping and walking in a well-lit, safe and secure part of town.

The location is good with restaurants and several stores located at Florida Street. The concierge services is very good. The only thing that must be correct is the room temperature control.

This is a 3 star hotel in reality. But it has a very good location. Also a tradictional argentinian breakfast that was the high point of the stay. The rooms are small but comfortable. Service is good. The swimmingpool is nice.

In general, this was a GREAT choice for a quick lay over before boarding a cruise ship. While my husband & I don't usually prefer a city location, this was just right for the time we hsd. The hotel staff went out of their way to get our room ready, 4 hours early. After a little nap because of an all night flight, we wandered around Florida Street--just 1/2 block from the hotel. This very safe pedestrian street went on for miles in both directions loaded with all kinds of shops & eateries..Then we chose to have a very traditional upscale Argentine dinner only steps from the hotel. The complimentary hotel buffet breakfast the next morning was a plus! The only negative to the whole BA experience was the cab driver from hell that the hotel called for us to take to the pier.

Quaint boutique hotel, very clean and friendly service. Concierge service excellent. Offer transfer from the airport. Bathroom much too small is the only drawback. Very close to shopping and centrally located. Good value for the money.

I like the location of the hotel. It lacks water power. The sinks and bathrooms barely put out water. In addition our TV broke and they brought us a 13 inch with barely any color on it. I will not stay there again.

My stay at the Claridge was everything I expected. It was a good value, a good room, and a great location. It is walking distance to nearly all of Buenos Aires that you would want to see, and within walking distance to several very nice resturants. The large Florida Street shopping district is just two blocks away. The only small minus was a very small bathroom in my hotel room.

The room was good sized and so was the bathroom. It was clean and fairly comfortable although the furnishings were a bit worn and dated. My biggest problem with the room was the temperature. Even though I turned the AC to the coldest setting on high fan, it never cooled dowen. Luckily I was able to open the window. One big problem was that this was an adjoining room and the door between could be unlocked from either side providing absolutely no security! I put the luggage stand with all my things up against the door. As with the other room, this one was also very warm with no way to cool it down without opening the window. My biggest problem came at checkout when I was presented with a bill for 600 pesos! They said housekeeping had informed them that I had broken the desk glass in the room I was in. This charge was broken down into three separate charges, 380 for the glass, a charge for leather and one for polishing. I told them I never broke anything in either room and they said they would get housekeeping to confirm. About 15 minutes later the manager came back snd removed the charge from my bill. This really bothered me. First, when they noticed something was broken in that room they should have notified me right away. Second, the break down of the chasrges seemed very inflated to me. I think they were just trying to take advantage. My other problem came when I returned to pick my bags I had left with the bell hop. Although nothing appeared to be missing, it was obvious someone had gone through my bag. I know because of how it was originally packed. I know many people think this is a very convenient area to stay in but I found it to be very dirty and not that nice. Except for the shoppiing on Florida and a few good restaurants, there is nothing to see. My next trip I will stay in Recoleta or Palermo.

The hotel waas well situated near the Avenida Florida, which is the main pedestrian shopping area. It is primarily a commercial area and a little bit of a walk to the better restaurants and bars, but still fairly convenient. The rooms were a little on the smaller side but nice appointed and clean. The staff was most friendly and accomodating. I would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a central location and willing to walk some reasonable distances to explore the city.
