Old fashioned, elegant, romantic. They gave us a dark room with a window giving on a inner court (and the hotel was not full).

Central, good breakfast, pleasant staff.

It is really hard to determine what is this hotel?s best asset. It?s location makes EVERYTHING in Old Quebec accessible by foot. The hotel is clean, comfortable, well maintained, and nicely decorated. Our room was a king facing outward. It was spacious, clean, plainly decorated with a typical smaller bathroom consistent with historical hotels. Bed and bedding was comfortable and fresh. Please do not confuse a historical hotel with out-of-date d?cor and tight hallways? this hotel has been update, but retained it?s European flair that attracted us to stay here. Even parking was a charm which can be difficult. We will definitely stay here on our next (fourth) trip to Quebec City.

Location. Small room. Located in Old Quebec this hotel is perfect for the visitor who wants to explore the city on foot. The dining room, lobby were reminiscent of an era that shows class and good taste but also offers modern amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel location was great us. Only a block to Chateau Fontanc Hotel and the Finicular. The rooms were a little small but adequate. The morning buffet breakfast was great although a little pricey. There were many restaurant choices within a few blocks of the hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

It was in an excellent location. Had to have the hall light on in order to use some lamps which was inconvenient at bedtime. This hotel is very attractive and in an excellent location for anyone visiting Old Quebec. All of Old Quebec is within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful and there was free WiFi as well as a computer in the lobby. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but we only ate the breakfast buffet there.

Enjoyed our stay. The location can't be beat. However, we were very disappointed that the much advertized Jazz bar in the hotel is no longer in existence, and hasn't been for many months. That was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. The Clarendon needs to update their web site!

We LOVED the Clarendon. Martin was so helpful and so pleasant. It was a joy from beginning to end. Right in the heart of Old Quebec, a few steps from everything!

Great location, clean, friendly, great atmosphere. Food, drink were expensive and skimpy.

Great value with ""Table d'Hote,"" beautiful presentation, terrific choices. Wines are wonderful. Service good.

The location was great. The walls were paper thin and I could hear the people in the adjoining room having a normal conversation. Although this hotel is in a good location, I would not recommend it to others. The walls were so thin that I could exactly what others were talking about in the room next to ours and in the hallway. There was a group of kids staying the hotel and the hotel had placed them in rooms on 3 of the 7 floors of the hotel. They were exceptionally noisy and the hotel did nothing to try to accommodate the other guests. It would have been quieter and more enjoyable staying in a hostel. There were also no amenities in this hotel- no gym, pool, etc.

Location and ease of getting around immediate area. Hotel manager; very small rooms. Location is excellent; clean overall and ease of parking. Majority of reception staff was excellent and anxious to help guests.

Location in Old Town. Adjustments for air flow not workable. Hotel was very nice- could hear neighbors talking very clearly - we were already in bed and not interested in changing rooms. I could understand if they were partying, but they were just talking till 11 -11:30 pm.

Located in centre of old Quebec. Room size small, less than 1 foot from wall to bed. Room was small, but the bathroom was a good size. Only had a coffee perk as extra. Had to pay $15.00 per day parking. Staff was excellent.

Historic place, small but comfortable rooms andbest location in Quebec. Older parts of the hotel are too noisy - ask for a room in the newer wing.

The location and character of the hotel were it's best features. Bed was as hard as the floor, peeling wallpaper, cracked tiles, pot lights falling down.

Location. This was a very nice hotel in the center of the old town. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

It was in a beautiful location and really reflected the true Old Quebec feel. A beautiful hotel, in a perfect location in Old Quebec. It was very romantic.
