Cityroomz CambridgeDo not underestimate that these rooms are small. The size of the room really did make the whole stay uncomfortable and was very over priced. The breakfast was not very impressive with just cereal, croisannt or cheese sandwiches. A variety of breads or toast would have been nice and the cleaners took the coffee and tea away 20 before the end of breakfast so we were not able to have a hot drink. The hotel/hostel is clean but not recommended for long stays or for people whole like to lounge in their rooms.

You need to understand that you are getting a small bunk room, with shower, sink and toilet all within the space that you would normally have as say an en-suite bathroom at home! It's tiny but clean and the bed was comfortable. My only issue was with the blinds to the bedroom which were pretty ineffective and so I was awake at 5:30!Breakfast was nice, in an informal and small room, but much better than the price suggests!

More like a hostel than a hotelThis is very basic accommodation and I would describe it as more like a hostel than a hotel. The rooms were clean but tiny (I hit my head on the TV stand several times!). Having said that it did the job for an overnight stay as long as you aren't expecting any frills, but you wouldn't want to spend too long a period in your room! Myself and my colleague went out for most of the evening and only went back to go to bed. I had single occupancy in a twin room (bunks) but it is beyond me how any more than one person would be able to stay in one of those tiny rooms! I also would not have wanted to stay there for more than one night.

not cheap enough for quality of accomodation"Hotel" is essentially a brick building in the middle of the station car park. clean accomodation but tiny rooms, and no space for socialising with colleagues, and NOTHING within walking distance of this part of town for quick eats or drink. Feels more like barracks or student rooms than a hotel.

Very dirtyThis hotel is the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed.Never use this hotel.

Stayed two daysAccommodation provided good, just next to the station, convenient, safe, clean cheap for an hotel in Cambridge. Have your guide book with you, receptionist won't help.

This is fine but be clearIf you want something cheap where you can literally roll out of bed and into the train station for an early train then this is fine. Be clear though that you get what you pay for - the room is really a big cupboard and definately needs refurbished. Otherwise clean and tidy.

Bunk Beds! This was very, very basic accommodation. The twin room I had booked had 2 bunk beds and about 3 feet of space between them and the sliding door to very small shower room. No room for any other furniture whatsover. It was, by a distance, the cheapest accommodation I could see in Cambridge (£55.00 b & b for the room) but this was very much a case of "you get what you pay for".The continental breakfast was nice- unlimited portions always helpful for those travelling on a budget. The receptionist was friendly too, and because Torquay United won their promotion playoff semi final I would have happily slept on a park bench that night!

Perfect for my needsThe room was clean and simple; perfect for a one-night stay. MIght feel a little cramped after a longer stay, but for me it was perfect.

CityRoomz CambridgeThe room was cheap and very close to the rail station, literally right across the street. It was also an easy walk to the city centre. We stayed in a twin and while the room was very clean, it was also very small. However, for the price it wasn't bad value and the people at reception were friendly and helpful with storing our luggage the day we checked out. I wouldn't recommend staying here for a long trip, just because of how tiny the room was but it would be fine for a short break.

central city but really quietWe stayed for only 2 nights in Cambridge, so we liked the fact that this hostel was walking distance from the city and colleges. Our room was tiny and basic but that was all we needed. However, there was one thing lacking - no wardrobe or drawers to put our things. We were travelling with very small backpacks and just as well, because people with large suitcases would have a real problem. Also, in the bathroom, there was no towel rail or hooks to hang wet towels. Breakfast was simple but ample and the room was clean and quiet. We were satisfied clients.

ConvenientIf travelling by train then the hotel is brilliantly convenient sited just across the road from the exit of the station. There is no traffic noise to speak of to interfere with sleep. The rooms are small but meet all basic requirements. Pristine white bedding, and I found the mattress very comfortable.Breakfast was more than adequate and nice to sort out myself. Very good that it was complimentary. For me the only criticism was the hall carpets with suspicious vomit stains!

Cambridge city roomZI thought your web pictures for this accomodation were misleading, they gave the impression of a modern/clean environment. The room I stayed in was filthy, cramped and the windows were the original metal framed single paned windows from when the building was built, which wouldnt close properly and the blind was also broken. Thus the noise from the constant traffic and passerbys throughout the night meant it was impossible to get any rest. That and the lack of any sound insulation within the building made my night thoroughly uncomfortable. I would not recommend this \"hotel\" to anyone, you would be more comfortable staying on the platform of the nearby train station itself. It would be simple to rectify a lot of the problems with the accomodation at little cost. I am surpised this standard of accomodation this exisits in the UK. On a positive note the breakfast was very nice and the staff pleasant.

It nearly all ended in tearsBooked in, went to room, occupied, went back to reception, baffled looks then receptionist jumped into action. Very polite and efficient within 5 minutes we were given another room apologies and a refund, rooms are modern and very basic but ideal for a one night stay and the continental breakfast was good quality help youself all you can eat. So close to the Railway station that if you sleep walk you could find youself in London before waking up, good value all round.

Its okPretty clean, reasonible price, good location. The room was very small, not very well designed (wires hanging everywhere) and a bit cold. The walls are quite thin, I was woken up by people coming in/going out. Felt a bit like I was staying in a youth hostel, which is fine, but its labeled a hotel
