Good value for a very good priceWe stayed in City Inn one night but I am sure we will stay there again if we go to Glasgow. The room was excellent with a beautiful view to the Clyde Arc road bridge spanning the River Clyde. The breakfast was delicious and enough for at least two! Highly recommended (for the special price we had).

City InnWe chose the hotel because it had free parking, was in a good position on the Clyde and had an Apple Mac with free wi fi in the room. It exceeded our expectations, the service was excellent, the bed comfortable and we enjoyed our meal in the restaurant. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again if visiting Glasgow.

Have stayed before, and the quality of the room and customer service is of a very good standard, though on this occassion I was very disappointed with the quality of the food for the price which I had by room service. It wouldnt stop me staying again though. Its a great location, own car park and superb for business traveller.

great hotelThis is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we think its fantastic.Its got great river views and is very quiet at night.We got a really good deal through late rooms which included breakfast and we will definately be back for more of the same..A big thumbs up from us.

This is a modern, efficient hotel. The staff were very pleasant and the room was modern, clean and very comfortable. Although I didn't eat at the hotel I noticed that the City Cafe was quite busy, the outdoor terrace overlooking the river being particularly popular. Parking is available on spare land beside the hotel with entry and exit barriers. The hotel provide a code for the latter. There are iMacs in every room which is a real bonus. There is a modern Indian restaurant just across the road which has an "all you can eat" buffet (weekdays only I think) as well as an a la carte menu. I would certainly use this hotel again, the deals available on Late Rooms are good value for this quality of accomodation.

Excellent stayOur overall experience of this hotel is excellent.If there is to be one fault it would be that the bar area is small and at times was not easy to get a seat and due to the weather sitting outside was not an option.Definelty stay again.

A Return Visit is a DefiniteVery enjoyable overnight stay - expectations were greatly exceeded.The hotel was centrally located with good access to motorway network, city centre and concert venues. All staff were friendly and provided very good service. We dined in the restaurant - menu was varied and the food was fresh, well prepared and at a good price.The twin room had a great view over the Clyde, level of cleanliness was good and the decor very relaxing. Toiletries and bath robes were a surprising extra! Breakfast served in the room at only a small cost was an added bonus.Overall we had really relaxing stay. Will definitely return.

This was a nice, clean, friendly hotel. Due to delays with ferries I didn't arrive until almost midnight, the receptionist was chatting to someone and left me hanging for a couple of minutes before he turned his attention to me, then when I called down for room service, I was asked to wait and then I was on the phone for five minutes whilst the receptionist carried on chatting away to the same person. This treatment really let the hotl down for me.

A bit isolated, but quite good value.If you want to be right in the heart of Glasgow then this is not the hotel for you... however, if you don't mind be a little isolated from the city centre then this hotel is ideal.The city centre is only a 20 minute walk away, and the City Tour Bus which leave from the front door is an ideal way to get in and out of the city centre as your ticket lasts for 2 days (running until about 5pm each day... the Exhibition Centre train station is also quite close by.As for the accommodation - the decor is simple and modern, though some fixtures and fittings are starting to show their age. The view over the Clyde is quite pleasant, as was eating breakfast outside on the terrace on the morning we had really good weather. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful which always makes a holiday a good one. BTW - I can recommend the Chinese restaurant across the road... a bit pricey but really good food.We would happily stay in the City Inn Glasgow again, as the city has more to offer than we were able to explore in one weekend, and if offered a freebie or a really good discount rate we would be back like a shot!

Dinner very expensive. Main course consisted of one fishcake,small salad and one quail eggThe price of the evening meal was very expensive for the quantity served. So it follwed that the wine was very expensive. The chips, that accompanied the fish, consisted of ten square chips which although looked brown, were under cooked.

alessandra The rooms were a good size and very clean, the restaurant's food was excellent even ig the drinks were expensive £ 9 for a glass of wine! Bur th set meals are good value for money.

Mini BarHotel was excellent, a little out of the way but only a short taxi ride to the centre of Glasgow, room was excellent had a fabulous view of the bridge although a little noisy above the bar. The only complaint was on our return home I received a letter from City Inn stating we had taken a couple of small items from the mini bar it was less than a fiver but these items had been charged to my credit card, I didnt even see the mini bar never mind take something from it... just seems a bit of a scam really as I couldnt really be bothered contacting the hotel to dispute such a small amount of money, I would have expected the hotel to contact me by telephone to ask if we had used the mini bar in our room before charging me, how can you prove you havent taken something when you are a good 200 miles away, my word against theres, very disappointing.

You'll struggle to find a better hotelExcellent accomodation and free parking which is great in Glasgow. State of the art applemac TV,DVD,CD and mac, free wifi and broadband too. Overall, an excellent hotel. Have statyed before and will again.

excellent accommodation enjoyed my stay as it was very convenient for secc and i knew it was a quality hotel. it was very good for food also although we would have eaten outside if the outside space had a been separated into smoking and non smoking. smoking allowed at all tables which is a bit off putting if you want to enjoy the summer air.bed very comfortable and having computer in the room was very helpful to me to save bringing my own.
