This hotel is fantastic and cannot fault it, that is why we are traveling here again in 5 days time to spend my birthday there. The rooms are so well kept, very modern, but make sure when you are booking you check if you are booking a basement room. We have not had one of these rooms, but they sound small and no natural lighting wouldn't be very nice. the continental breakfast in the morning is lovely as well, the staff keep refilling all the options for you. My partner couldn't stop making ham and cheese toasties. Stock up for your day as you are only 5 minutes from the centre of leidesplein which is a lovely walk past all the expensive shops such as Gucci and Chanel. At Leidesplein there are all the bars and restaurants you can imagine! Take a further 20 minutes walk and you will find Dam Square, very overpriced and to be honest I much prefer the area we stay in. At Christmas it is lovely, all the skating rinks are out in the squares and there is a fantastic atmosphere, hopefully it will be the same just donned up for Halloween!

Hotel City GardenThis hotel is in a nice area and within easy walking distance of museums and transport connections. The staff were so helpful and welcoming.

At the hotel features, they claim they have parking facilities available. This is the reason I picked this hotel. When we got there, we were told no parking in the hotel, we need to park on the street. This is ridiculous. We wanted to move to other hotel, but we already paid. We ended up search for parking on the street every night. Highly recommended DONT stay in this hotel if you have a car. Also, very disappointed they are so dishonest to list the feature they cannot provide. On top of that, the shower door is malfunction. We cannot close the door whwen we take shower and all the water leak on the floor. My whole trip is ruined because of the bad hotel experience.

Okay hotel. Amsterdam is an expensive city and good inexpensive hotels are hard to find. This one if good value for money.

Rooms were small but clean. Definitely thought that €150 per night for a twin room was excessive, even for Amsterdam. Location was good, only a 10 minute tram ride from Dam Square.
