The location was ideal. The room was small but adequately furnished. The bathroom, especially the shower could do with being updated. Overall it was good value for money mainly due to the cost and location. For one night is was fine but would not have been somewhat lacking for a longer stay.

room adequate size and fairly clean but in need of a good face lift, mould round the window, bathrooThis hotel could do with a total face lift, reception good but the room needed attention, mould round the window (but they had closed the curtains hoping we didn't see it), bathroom needed a total refit and a new shower, the shower was the worst we have experienced. On entering the breakfast room had trouble finding a table that wasn't being used but eventually got one which was covered in dirty pots. No glasses for orange juice, no cups for tea or coffee, no bowls for cereals and a long delay in getting them. I think they need a bigger breakfast room with more tables and they should also invest in more crockery and perhaps an additional member of staff.

Very good value, the room was clean, warm & a good size for a single, the breakfast was excellent with limitless tea, coffee, fruit juice, cereal, toast & rolls. Only drawback was the shower which was a bit lacklustre & decidedly cold, but this may have been my fault for getting up late & missing the hot water!

City Continental - LondonGreat base for visiting Earls Court Exhibition & Concert events. less than 2 mins walk from Earls Court Tube and very close to Earls Court 1 & 2. Excellent self serve continental breakfast. Reasonable priced wireless broadband access. Single room was small and had no view other than a brick wall but that's not unusual for a city hotel. Late rooms rate was excellent value for London although I wouldn't have been happy to pay the "£100" full price. All in all I would go back no problem.

On the surface it is a great value hotel and offers a pretty comfortable and clean room. However, I was amazed to find that there was no hot water for my mornign shower!

No frills, but cheap and cheerful. Reception staff very polite and helpful. Room basic, but clean. Continental breakfast fine.

Good comfortable quiet hotel , but still only a very short walk from the main road and underground. Took a while to work out how to operate the bath/shower plumbing, but water hot when we suceeded. Despite tea making facilities in room, water marked "not for drinking"; a problem easy to resolve. Continental style self-service breakfast; breakfast room spotlessly clean and well organised.

At £68 for a double room including breakfast this was a good deal. The bed was comfy, the room was warm and the shower was hot. Ok so the bathroom was small and a bit worn but the place was pretty clean overall and there were tea/coffee facilities in the room. The breakfast was more than adequate with fruit salad, yoghurts, coissants, toast, selection of cereals and cheese. The coffee machine served excellent lattes and cappucinos.

In general, the hotel performed adequately and in accordance with my expectations. However, I was disappointed when I requested an alarm call in the morning and did not receive one.

Room was clean, but very small and difficult to get the temperature down. Lift did not go to my floor, and keycard lock was unreliable.Staff were efficient and dealt with all my queries.Would stay again if on a tight budget

Advertised newly refurbished but not newly I would say a number of years ago!Mouldy shower cubicle!... no drinking water available in room. Water from tap not potable.Security on reception - not sure. Requested the hand in of keys at every departure yet when the key for a room number was requested it was handed over without question or request for name! We therefore were not sure about how secure our room really was.

I arrived late in the evening for a conference the following day and was directed to a room on the 4th floor. This room was supposed to be a single but had a double bed in it which took up most of the floor space. Although this hotel was advertised as being refurbished the whole of the hotel felt very grubby particularly the corridor areas, also 3 of the 4 pillow cases on the bed had a stain of some sort on them. The room itself was small and over warm and the heat in the bathroom was unbearable considering there was no radiator in there or extractor. I wanted the air conditioning on but had to trail down to reception to borrow a remote control for £5. The person in the room next to me had his TV on very loud and was talking on the phone above the TV noise to the extent that I once again had to go to reception to request another room as I couldn't sleep. I was told they were fully booked an I could not be moved, they did however speak to the person and ask him to be a little less noisy. There were no glasses in the room to have a drink of water so once again down to reception only to be handed a polystyrene cup. I didn't even consider breakfast! Dont think I will be returning.

The front desk staff were quite friendly and helpful upon arrival. The room was a good size and generally clean. One of the curtains had come off the track and was hanging down. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean but the door under the sink was hanging off it's hinges. When I used the hairdryer in the morning it fused and smoke came out of the back! It was however good value for money for 3 of us sharing one room - £147 inc breakfast - and was very conveniently situated for us. I would probably go again.

Lady at reception very unfriendlyll.....room was in the basement and there was an incredibly strong 'sugar soap' smell in the corridor....fortunately not in the room.....room decoratively looks a bit tired but the bed was comfortable.

The hotel was really easy to get too and in a good spot because its on the main piccadilly line and in a nice quiet area. One thing the duvet are made of feathers so i got an allergic reaction.

The hotel is pleasant reasonably well furnished and a quiet location. Working in London a couple of days a week it fits the bill perfectly offering fairly good value for money - worth a look?

The room was clean and basic and I presume fell within the price range paid and the reception staff was nice and polite. The breakfast however was poor there was no variety and there were no boiled eggs left and the breakfast staff were not very accommodating. There was also little choice of menu.
