Date of Stay:
July, 2009
The kids played at the midway. The adults gambled and later we went shopping down town.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Casino employees very rude. In room stay was above average and comfortable for my Business lay over. The facilities however including Casino floor were terrible. Cocktails were the worst I've ever experienced. Hallways, floors were dirty and unkept. If in Reno I would stay in this Hotel again, however I would not spend anytime in their restaurants or casino.

Circus Circus Reno is closer to all action in Reno. They have a free circus, arcade and other games apart from casino which helps to keep minors engaged and young adults :) Tables are reasonable as other Casinos in Reno and have clean rooms and good location. They have only three restaurants but since it is interconnected with silver legacy it doesnt bothers much. They advertised in AAA travel guide that they will have indoor pool in 2008 but staff was not even aware of it.

We stayed for a bowling tourney and of course to gamble a little. The room was great, huge bathroom. Love how the hotel is connected to 2 other hotels. Only thing is that some of the restaurants where closed due to economy. All in all we had a great time and will def. stay again

I will only stay here again, once a year for Basketball Tourney. I especially want to thank your people in Reservations, with them making it possible for us to stay despite not having reservations. ALL emplyees are to be commended from parking all the way to the cleaning maids, very professional and very approachable. My hats off to Security also, I had no problem with my 12 year old son going to the Arcade at ANY time of the evening, we as a family felt very safe even with the capacity filled hotel. Last but not least, our room was very clean, everynight, extra towels were giving with no problem. It would be nice to remind everyone who is satisfied with their room that it wouldnt hurt to TIP also the room cleaning persons, they deserve it and sometimes we take it for granted, plus Im sure they would appreciate it. Thank You CIRCUS CIRCUS !!!!

The view from our room was spectacular of downtown Reno and also mountains in distance. I just kept wishing I had grandkids with us to enjoy all the activities for kids. Check in in anytime after 8AM ( unbelievable). The maid service didn't bother us all morning but as soon as we left for a few minutes they were in there and cleaned. There were several restaurants but the buffet had a section just for kids and their favorite foods. The food was good and all kids of fresh fruit. The hotel had free parking which was a plus in Reno. Also the hotel was right downtown in the middle of everything. Would definitely recommend to a friend. Singles , couples or families. Oh yeah the money saver coupon book was fun to use.

Kids had a great time on the Midway. No fault of the hotels own. Excellent hotel for fairly cheap, Kids will love all the attractions and games.

As a guest in the Skytower it was not easy to get our luggage to the rooms from the car park area, and not very clearly signed. Whilst the rooms were clean the public areas looked a little tired and unkept.

Our hotel room at Circus Circus was average/poor. The walls between rooms did not control sound and the "guests" in the adjoining room were very noisy. I had to call security. The beds were old and too soft.

For the same price as a regular room, we booked the mini-suite and it was perfect. Separate living room to hang out in. Nice that Starbucks was downstairs just off the elevator. Not too much going on out there in Reno. Was my first time there. Came for the matchbox twenty concert (awesome!) but probably won't be back. There's only one Vegas!

Its was a pleasant stay. There was always staff going around and checking room and hallways to make sure everything was clean and to see if you needed anything. No pool but who goes to reno to swim.

Location was great. No air conditioning! Cute place. Good location. No air conditioning in the room. There are no windows either. Was really hot in the room.

We only stayed there for one night. It is a good room for money but if you are willing to spend more there are better places.

Overall, our stays at Circus Circus have always been pleasant. For what you pay you can't ask for more. However, it would be great if the hotel would consider designating at least one floor of the sky tower for guests and their pets. This would greatly ease the burden of leaving our beloved pets behind.

The staff was great. The only thing I would say is it could have been a little cleaner. Old soap in the bathroom and wrappers on the top of the TV. My husband and I alway get a smoking room but this time you could really tell that there was no ventalation to help with the smoke that was left in the room before we got there.

The food at the steakhouse was excellent! The overall cleanliness and smoky smell was not inviting.

Checking into the hotel was a breeze. We parked the car in the valet/check-in area, walked directly to the check-in counter and was done in about 10 minutes. The staff was courteous and friendly. They gave us excellent directions on how to get to the free parking structure of the hotel, using the sky-tram, and to our rooms. We were able to get rooms on the 27th and 28th floors with an outstanding view of downtown Reno and most of the valley. The rooms were neat and clean, and the beds were comfortable. Circus Circus is attached to 2 other hotel/casinos....The Silver Legacy and El Dorado. The selection of entertainment was outstanding and the food wonderful. The only downside was the appearance of local gang members roaming the casino and arcade area on Saturday night. We felt there should have been a more visible and pro-active showing of security in those areas as we had to ask an employee of the gift shop to call someone. Other than that, our stay was fun. We only live 100 miles away, so were able to come back this past Friday to see the Reno Tattoo Convention at Circus Circus and have the seafood buffet at Silver Legacy.

Hotel property wasn't the worst we've ever stayed in, but it was certainly NOT the best. Upon checkin we were not given the room we reserved and had to pay 200 extra for an available upgrade which we took for 2 nights. We were then moved to another room (which we DID reserve originally). That room had no hot water. Reported it and was given a run around for 2 days. Finally moved to yet a 3rd room. So we never really got settled it. Hotel staff was very unaccommodating and unpleasant from the get go. Valet guys and Bell staff was VERY NICE and knew how to do their job with a smile on their face, UNLIKE the Front Desk people. Really bad! Logisitcally, staying in the Sky Tower was very inconvenient and a big pain in the neck. Don't stay in Sky unless you want to lug your stuff around and get a good work out every time you leave your room. The hotel wasn't bad itself (not good though), but overall the most impressive negative was the staff. They just simply do NOT care about their guests at all. Too bad, because that makes a difference when tollerating inconvenience. I guess if you are going there just to drink and gamble who cares, but we didn't do much of either and it was a terrible experience. Thanks Sal (Bell Service) YOU ARE GREAT !!! After alot of begging for service they try to nice it all over by giving food certficates, but who care about that when you can't even get settled in or take a shower. Overall rooms not bad, but definitely not worth the aggravation! Go somewhere that's rated higher, better reviews, pay a little more and then maybe you will enjoy your stay.

the stay at circus circus was ok for the price, july 9-12th. although, after i arrived i was offered to upgrade for an extra fee to stay in the main tower.i attended a wedding that was scheduled to be around the corner that was moved to the circus circus location at the last minute. it worked out perfect, because parking on the street is limited. on thursday the sushi bar closes quite early,so that left us with the choice of having bbq or leaving. returned the next day for sushi, you have a choice of ordering each item or all you can eat for one price for only one hour. wanting sushi,we went with the all you can eat and the cook was so busy talking to other cooks in his language (spanish)he burnt the mussels. he explained what happened, like we werent watching? we are at the bar dirrectly in front of him!(helllloooo) what disturbed me most is the lack of his hand washing at such a place. now, the steak and wine restaurant was excellent! the service was first class. nice wine list. i had the special, pan seared red snapper, cooked just right. my boyfriend had the steak, but after tasting my fish, he wished he had ordered the same. the waiter was so nice and professional.
