Chymes is designed to give travelers the feeling of living in the comfort of a home whilst on holiday. Guests will not be greeted by a typical hotel lobby but instead a living room with big sofas and lazy chair for guests to laze around in. There is a lounge area for our guests to rest and relax while watching cable TV or just enjoying a book/magazine. Free WIFI internet access is available for guests to keep connected with friends and family while they are on holiday.
All 6 rooms in Chymes are tastefully decorated with individual themes. Each room comes complete with private and spacious bathroom with rain shower experience equipped with towels, your own selected bath wash, shampoo, pillow selection for your sleeping comfort, individually controlled air-condition and daily housekeeping. We do not provide television in the rooms as we encourage our guests to go out, explore, bask in the sun and simply just to have fun.
Chymes could be taken as a boutique bed and breakfast as we believe in personalized service. Breakfast is served in the garden for our guests to enjoy the serene surroundings lined with a scenic view of coconut trees.
There are no in-house restaurants or café in Chymes. However, food is very easy to find around Chymes. Within 5-10 minutes walking distance, you will find nice seafood restaurants like Sunshine Bay and Crab Village. If you walk further, there is Sri Ananda Bahwan (specializing in Indian cuisine), Mutiara Food Court (a hawker centre), Ingolf’s Kneipe German Restaurant and Vintage Bulgaria Restaurant & Bar, to name a few.
If you would like to venture further, take a cab up to Batu Feringghi where you will find various types of restaurants. Or if you prefer the local flavour, take a cab down to Gurney Drive to taste our ever famous hawkers’ delights like Char Koay Teow, Laksa, Ais Kacang, Hokkien Mee, Pasembur and lots more.
