had mews rooms, for 5 people, loads of room in each room and was great that they were directly opposite each other. All staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel in good location, approx 20-30mins walk from city centre or apporx £6 in a taxi. Would recommend it to anyone and will be back.

People skills in this hotel are very poor, with no welcome or assistance. The room was huge but very tired and dusty and dirty. The bedcover stained. Curtains and Nets hanging loose. The breakfast service was very poor with one waiter doing his best in serving over 50 people. The self service tea/ coffee and toast means guests are up and down.

Couldn't really fault the hotel, it was brilliant!The only thing I would say is that the bathroom/toilet could have been a little cleanerBut all in all a brilliant place!

Great value for money overall - worked out as £30 per head including brekkie. The room was above the standard that i would expect for this value. The breakfast was about the standard I would expect!! lots of choice but not the best quality.

Curtain rail was broken, the sheets were dirty, the shower door didn't shut properly. We were woken up 3 or 4 times in the night due to a radio that came on automatically downstairs. I must say though, after complaining, the reaction from the staff was sympathetic and we were offered a discount.

The only criticism of the resteraunt i would make is that breakfast tables were not cleared quickly enough to accomodate new diners, though this was rectified by the appearance of a second waiter. On returning to our room i was not impressed to observe one of the breakfast waiters standing smoking at the rear of what i assume were the kitchens, not in my opinion good practice when trying to purvey an air of professionalism.

Stayed at Churchikks Hotel over the May Bank Holiday weekend for the millenium magic rugby , the hotel was in a great location with ample parking. The hotel was clean, the food good and the staff very friendly nothing was too much trouble. Will certainley stay again if we are in Cardiff.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and professional. The room was very spacious and clean the only downside which was a minor one - we had booked a double bedded room as opposed to a twin bedded room. We would certainly stay at and recommend this hotel to friends, especially as its in such easy reach to Cardiff city centre, approx 15-20 min walk.

I stayed in the suites at the rear of the hotel with my family, as these were designed for family use.The room was for 4 people but only had enough toiletries, towels and refreshments for 2 people. The rooms were cold as the heating was not working properly. There were cobwebs over most walls and ceilings which gave the impression that it had not been cleaned for some time. The menu in the room was not the same as the menu in the hotel which was very misleading. There were no extra blankets or pillows available in the room for us to use. The service in the resturant was slow.All in all very disappointed with this hotel. I have stayed here before but had actually stayed in the hotel building, which was ok.

For the purpose of business I found this hotel well place and reasonably priced for the standard of accommodation available. The food in the bar was once again resonably priced and good.

the room I was originally given was noisy from about 11.30 pm on owing to noise and vibrations from heating system, rather like trying to sleep with a washing machine on its spin cycle next door to you! When I went down to the desk at 1 am to complain, the person on duty didn't seem at all surprised and offered me the key to a room on the floor above. This room was okay, but I did sort of wonder why I couldn't have been given this room in the first place. When I went to settle my bill in the morning and hand in two keys, there was no comment or apology, so perhaps its usual for people to have two keys to hand in ?!I had stayed in this hotel many years ago, so wasn't expecting state of the art. I appreciate that I was given another room, but an apology or some sort of acknowledgement that I'd been inconvenienced might have been in order.nice cheery waiter in the dining room at breakfast but disgusting stewed coffee when what my system was crying out for after a broken night was something freshly brewed!

The room and ensuite were a little tired and in need of refurb. The bathroom was clean but tired. Room in front of hotel room which was noisy throughout the night with traffic. Staff were helpful and the bar food very good and value for money. Only one bitter on tap in the bar. Parking excellent and within easy reach of the city by bus or walking.

Pleasant staff, rather noisy room (traffic), bit chilly - ?ineffective double glazing, if any. Comfortable and clean though. Breakfast ok.

The toilet had not been flushed since used by last occupant or the \"cleaner\". Closer inspection revealed that this was quite a grubby room. The bathroom was dirty and in need of updating. The living room was also in need of a good cleanc, confetti etc on carpet - also pet hairs in abundance. I slept on the sofa bed and felt the dog was still with me......scratch scratch. Reception polite and clean, breakfast small but good qualtity. The cleaners here have relly let the hotel down!
