This motel has been around since I went to college in Mt. Pleasant in the early 1970's...it has always been a clean, reasonably-priced place for friends and family to stay when visiting Mt. Pleasant. Even after the addition in town of every franchise hotel and motel, our family still chooses the Chippewa.

The price of the room. Very small room. Its a good place to stay if your not looking to spend a lot of time in the room.

Booked this hotel at the last minute as we had to attend a state level competition with our child. Most area hotels were full. I chose it because it had 2 queen beds and no smoking room available at about 2/3 price of area hotels. We had to leave early in the morning so it was basically a commute stop. Pros: Room was clean, fridge & microwave included in price, coffee in room, good location. Cons: No breakfast included, room was VERY noisy - very close to the road and a major highway and it caught all of the road noise. Room was clean but not super "fresh" smelling.

Very clean rooms. Parking in front of the room was great. Wireless internet was plus. Very reasonable compare to other hotels around.

Very disappointing, the water temperature took a long time to become hot. The wallpaper was coming apart in several places. The mattresses were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Not very clean. No shower head. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

A coffee filter was still in the coffee pot. Room was very small. The staff was friendly. They have free wi-fi, which was nice and cable. The parking lot was small, as were the rooms. I had to park my car behind the building, which I didn't feel comfortable with.

There wasn't much in Breakfast but the room rates were very low compare to other hotels around. And it was really a clean place. Very close to the casino and I was surprised to see Coffee Machine, Hair Dryer, Fridge and Microwave in my room. May be they have those in all the rooms. And they also have Wired and Wireless Internet at no extra charge. I haven't seen all these amenities in a mom and pop place. It's definitely worth staying.

This was the most horrible hotel I have ever stayed in. We came in late on a buisness trip one night, we rang the front counter bell 6 or 7 times and no one came to greet us. We decided to go get someting to eat for a minute. We came back and proceeded to ring the front desk bell at least 10 times before a sleepy looking man came out form the back room. He then proceeded to tell us it was going to cost us 85 to stay there one night (it was already 2 am)! We said no way, thats what the four star baymont will charge us!He then told us 45, so we took the key and went to our room. Once we got in the room we found garbage on the floors, in the baskets and multiple, multiple! black curly hairs in our beds.It was so gross!!!

The clerk was not very friendly. When you walked into the room it smelled of old cigarettes. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. It was pretty quiet and the price was affordable but they need better customer service out side of here is your room key.

It was very easy to locate and was very close to the meeting. For the price it was a very good clean hotel. For going to stay for a meeting it was very affordable and clean.

This is really a very nice motel. The rooms were really clean and had Microwave, Refridgerator, Coffee Machice, Hair Dryer, Wired and Wireless High Speed Internet. It has more amenities than most of the big chaing hotels in town. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful.

I just needed a clean place to sleep one night while attending a conference. While I might otherwise consider the room price expensive, it is very close to a casino and the other nearby rooms are much more expensive. It was also graduation weekend at nearby Central Michigan University, so I was really fortunate to get such a room. It was easy to find with a Bob Evans Resturant next door.

The rooms I found to be cleaner than the other big hotels I have stayed in Mount Pleasant. The rate was lot lower than other hotels around. Very close to the Casino so that charge from the Taxi was just $5 (affordable). The staff was friendly and gave service with smile. They cared about my stay being comfortable and worth it.

The room was very clean. It has a nice TV with plenty of cable stations, refrigerator, coffee/tea, and microwave. They also o9ffer donuts in the office the next morning. It was very close to a variety of dining possibilities and gas stations, plus easy on/off exit. It kept us warm and comfortable. The only thing is that the room altogether was very small, but well worth the value.

My wife and I just returned from Mount Pleasant, we have stayed at the Chippewa motel about a haf dozen times in the past, its handy to the casino and sometimes we just didnt feel like driving all the way back home when we left the casino. Im not sure if they have new owners or what happend, but this time the person at the front desk was unfriendly, our room just wreaked of stale smoke, not dirty but not clean, the faucit in the bath was falling off the sink, we tried to open the bathroom window to air out the room while we were out, only to find the screen was all ripped out, the bathroom is barely large enough to turn arround in. They offer a free continental breakfast, I had not seen that the last few times we were there so we decided to give it a try, The entire continental breakfast consisted of a half dozen bagels on the counter of the office, no coffee, no juice no hospitalty!!!!!! I can assure you that the next time we decide to stay in Mount Pleasant again we will pass the Chippewa and keep looking for a place to stay. If you do stay bring your own pillows theirs are practically none existent
