A modern, Mediterranean-style, three-storey walk up located on Chevron Island, a short stroll central Surfers, cafes, restaurants, nightclubs and shopping.

Fully self contained apartments with Queen size bed and ensuite, fully equipped kitchen & laundry, lounge with double pull out sofa for additional guests. Sofa bed linen available on request - $20 surcharge applies. Bookings are for 2 persons share with a maximum of 4 persons per apartment. Additional persons rate is $30 per person per night. Ceiling fans, Austar. Air conditioning available on request - $10 per night surcharge. All apartments are non smoking. We have a self rating of 4 crowns.

Credit Card required on check-in. Otherwise a Cash deposit of $100 per person will be required. NO EXCEPTIONS

Office Hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.00pm; Sat 8.30am-12noon; Sun 8.30am-10.00am. Arriving outside office hours, contact reception on 07 55387933 during office hours for Late Arrival procedure.

&dbquo;Schoolies Policy - Unfortunately we do not have the policies, procedures or resources to accommodate the unique needs of the school leavers during the annual &dbquo;Schoolies Festival&dbquo;. In particular we do not have the adequate resources to engage qualified security personnel to guarantee the safety, comfort and convenience of our guests during this period. For this reason we reserve the right to reject bookings from school and/or university leavers for the period mid November to early December.&dbquo;

I stayed with my two young children at Karana Palms for 3 days and enjoyed everyday. Next time l go to the Gold Coast l would call Karana Palms first for accomodation.

I could write pages on my experiences at this hotel. In a nutshell the apartments were unclean and the management was unwilling to acknowledge any of our complaints or help us out in any way. They were so rude and unwilling to listen to any of our concerns, in fact, they completely dismissed our claims. We ended up staying one night of our intended five night stay at this place. Management refused to refund our money (we are still in the process). When we phoned (after leaving) to discuss a refund they tried to avoid us by making up stories saying that the ‘proper managers were not in’ and “would not be contactable until” …… It was actually quite ridiculous. We could have put up with the poor service from management, what made us leave was the apartments. In the simplest terms – they were just dirty. I had to clean the apartments – and had to buy the cleaning products…it was all a waste as we left the next day – not even bleach could stamp out the smell. - The apartment smelt of foot odour - The bed was damp and musky – I woke up with a rash and developed a fungal skin condition (1-2 days later)– im linking it to these apartments as the bed so damp and musky - The blankets smelt like cigarette and had stains on them – I had to wash them before we used them. - The fridge smelt like fish as did the sink, bin and sofa bed - Some of the cutlery, pots, plates etc were still dirty - The cutlery draws were riddled with food bits - The bedside tables had coffee stains on them - Not even the mirrors had been wiped down – causes you to worry as it is such a simple cleaning task. My advice is simply don’t stay here.

This was an excellent apartment for the price we paid. Facilities were basic but adequate and it was a very short walk to the heart of Surfers Paradise. We highly recommend it and would stay there again.

Peter & Karen were very welcoming & more than willing to help enjoy our stay. Our unit was clean & it had a homely feel. I would definately recommend staying there. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the shopping centre in Surfers.

We stayed for 2 night at Karana Palms. Its really a great place and value for money. Very clean and with great room facilities. We sure will stay there again next time we go gold coast. Thumb up to this resort.

Lovely managers. Great location and a fantastic price. Our unit according to the managers was the last to be upgraded so was a bit tired but had the best views. Would certainly stay again.

Well located and with nice people running things. A short walk gets you to the city or a bus. Secure parking. Had to wash pots and some plates before using. Standard room suits couple only. There are larger rooms apparently that fit a rollaway bed. Well priced and excellent value. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Avoid Indy week unless that's why you are there...
