Overall the stay at the Chequers was very good, however, we did ask for a cot for the room which we did not get, the breakfast was excellent but we were disapointed that no food or snacks available during the day. It could also do with being a bit more friendly and welcoming in the bar/longe area, otherwise everything was fine.

A very friendly hotel. The rooms were great, clean and very spacious. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff from the moment we arrived, they made us feel at home. The position of this hotel is lovely, right on the promenade with great views of the sea. It was great value for money and the food was excellent. I would definately stay here again and would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

was a real nice hotel but room was very cold has only had a portable heater the room itself was nice but when opened curtains all there was to see was a dingy back yard the food was nice and the bar was cheap would want to stay in another room if went again

hotel was lovely but the receptionist was having to double as bar staff. Breakfast was a bit of a nightmare. Sausages were hard, toast cold and the service was slow .

Room was on th ewhole very good however there was a problem with the windows. they did not close properly making it a very noisey as it was a very windy night.

quiet spot on sea front , north shore . parking ok with a pass from the reception desk. catch a tram or cab into town . tram stop opposite hotel very handy. good spot for quiet stay away from the crowds. had a nice room overlooking sea front .

after a mix up with the rooms which was soon rectified by the manager all the family had a fantastic time the staff are outstanding,and couldnt do enough for us.the food was fantastic and the breakfast was a self service which was a great idea thankyou for a great weekend we will definatly come again

Good friendly family hotel rooms nice and clean ,i only stayed on a bed and breakfast basis but the buffet help yourself breakfast went down a treat with my grandkids. i would certainly recommend anyone to stay here.

The room was fairly basic, but acceptable. Problem with the hot water which took a long time to come through in the shower.A good TV in the room.The breakfast was excellent, and the dining room was great. The breakfast food was very well organised. Please pass on ourthanks to the head waiter who was very professional and helpful with organising the breakfast and seating, etc.

It appears that issuing a bill when leasving/checking out is not the norm. Several people including me were just told what the total was to pay and then given a credit card receipt (The receptionist was too busy discussing friend's problems on the phone. When I asked for a copy of the bill I found that I had been charged twice for dinner on two nights, and charged for dinner for one night when we did not have dinner, a total of £70.00 overcharged, I was not impressed with their book keeping and found that the non issue of a bill disturbing.

I have just returned from a one night stay at the Chequers Plaza Hotel in Blackpool.I found the hotel to be very clean, comfortable and the breakfast was of a high standard. I consider the hotel to be great value for money.The only complaint I could make about the hotel was the oppressive heat. Had to have a fan on all night in the bedroom to get some sleep. Other people had complained to the staff about this. The staff were getting frustrated about the complaints as they were unable to do anything to resolve the matter.

The hotel is easy to get to and the bed and breakfast tariff is very good. There are designated car spaces but these are not very accessible so customers are required to leave their car keys at reception. The particular double room we stayed in was unbearably hot with no air conditioning and the frosted glass window faced a brick wall. However, the room was tastfully decorated. There is no evening entertainment but the bar lounge area is relaxing and quiet.

Breakfast was excellent each morning we were there. Did not stay for dinner although menu look enticing. Lounge bar facilities were quiet and comfortable and a good selection of wines and spirits were available. Room was clean and tidy.

Myself and my friend were made to feel welcome form the moment we entered. Each of us had single rooms, although mine had a double bed and was spacious and very clean with all facilities. The lady at reception (Lorna) was extremely helpful and very friendly - giving us excellent recommendations for eating and booking us a restaurant and taxi. Breakfast was excellent - serve yourself to as much as you like. It was tasty, well cooked and just what was needed after a heavy night! I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again!
