the motel was alright for the price, but the people at the desk was rude, but it was a ok place to stay, but there is one thing I need to ware you about do not rent a scooter from the place across the street. they will rip you off. STAY AWAY FROM ALL THE CALIFORNIA CYCLES RENTALS. check the net and you will see what i mean.

Very small rooms. Quit and good view of Gulf.

I liked that every room was a ocean view room. The front desk clerk was rude. My wife and I went to this hotel for vacation. This was the first time I had seen the ocean and the room was perfect and our kids really loved it.

We stayed in June 08 for 4 days and thought the place was great. Plan on taking friends back with us this year! We will have a blast!!! Great location, the beach was great, friendly staff.

I got to come to panama city for my sister?s wedding, and I decided to stay at the chateau, since it was just me and a friend, and very affordable on our budget. We weren?t familiar with the area at all, but the office staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions on places to eat, shop, and just have a good time. We got a room that was almost right on the sand!!! I had such a good time that it made up for the horrible bridesmaids? dress my sister made me wear. We?re already planning another stay at the Chateau next year.

The location was great. We loved the view of the Gulf from our room. Overall it was a good value for the money. The room was clean except the bathroom floor was greasy, I guess from salt water residue. The bed was comfortable. The pool area was very nice with plently of confortable lounge chairs. We would stay here again.

Good beach side location. Parking stinks, long walks to room. Typical stiff white sheets and small scratchy bath towels. Low water pressure showers. Small fridge, have to pay for ice. Parking lot is congested and small, have to pay for second car to park and has to be across the street in not so secure area. Checkout times a little early.

Me and my friends stayed at the Chateau for spring break and it was straight ballin. The cops searched our room a few times and made us pour out our alcohol but they were very nice and friendly about it. We want to find a place to stay this year and are considering the Chateau again. it was awesome and is a great party spot as thats all we did the whole time we stayed there. if you are planning a family vacation during spring break you probably shouldnt stay here but if you are a partyer then you should stay here and party. peace

We got our room searche 6 TIMES because thefreakin hotestaff has a deal with the copsthat if you get caughtwith alcohol you get evicted and they keep your security deposit. You are harrased constantly i was drinking a coke and got questioned fot 5 minutes. The staff are complete. THIS is the only hotel in Panma City that lets copssearch your room constantly. DON'T STAY HERE.

The Chateau Motel was great. The room overlooked the swimming pool. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the stay. Even though we had a smoking room we did not smell any smoke. Motel was within walking distance of a couple of places to eat. We would definitely stay there again.

View of the Gulf. Parking spaces were too thin. Staff was friendly and this hotel was very busy.

My family and I went to the Chateau just after spring break and we loved this place. The birds in the lobby were very funny you need to see them. The weather was great and thier weren't allot of teenage kids running around. It was over all a great getaway for me and my family. Good price for a weekend vaca. We'll be back in 6mo.

The Chateau Motel was not the nicest on the beach, but my friends and I needed something cheap; so it was good for the money. It was right on the beach. Shopping, dining, and such were within either a short walk/drive (depending on how much time you had). The floor had not been vacuumed when we arrived and the outlet for the hairdryer was not working, but the customer service was great. Also, the pool was very nice.

Very accommodating when I needed to extend my check-out time. Not enough parking space. Aside from a slight smell (we lit a candle and it was fine), I would without a doubt recommend this motel. Friendly staff, clean room, beautiful view of beach. Extended my check-out time at no charge.

The Chauteau Motel was pretty much what I expected. Rooms were clean enough but could have used a little maintenance. Although the rooms had balconies, the ac unit vented onto it, making it was unbearable to sit out there. The pool area was very clean, but there was also no security to stop the running jumping and horseplay (football throwing)over head. Many of the lounge chairs were broken. The beach and water were about the cleanest I've seen in the gulf, but the guy that rented the chairs had the personality of a rattlesnake. The biggest problem I had with this motel was the unfriendly-unhelpful front counter attendant (not all of them-just one in particular) I WENT FOR THE BEACH, THE BEACH WAS CLEAN, WATER WARM, WHAT MORE CAN I ASK FOR?

The location was great, and it was near the beach. Security allowed under age drinking.

We went here for a family vacation, which we visit Panama every year. We tried this hotel and were very disappointed. Could not let the kids play at the pool for the first 2 days due to students beer bonging at the pool and beer bottles EVERYWHERE!!! (You couldn't walk around the pool). Staff were very RUDE! Will never stay here again. I hope they tear this hotel down and build new one it it's place!

the chateau motel on panama city's beach is worth every penny. we really did not know what we would find when we arrived, especially since the cost per night was almost 2 times cheaper than any other in the area. we were AMAZED at the cleanliness of our room throughout our stay. the staff was friendly and i really was impressed by the inspections that were performed on the rooms after the maid service was completed. i know that every day we were there i watched the maintenance staff clean the pool and check the chemical levels before the pool area was opened for use each day. the only thing i can say that i didn't care for was the beds were alittle too firm for me and my husband, but that is really a preference. i will be returning to the chateau and would recommend to everyone.

Inconsiderate staff, poor room service and extra charges. Unsanitary, bugs, disgusting do not recommend for any type of traveler. Employed housekeepers smoking pot outside of hotel. Overall bad stay.
