The front desk told me my credit card did not go throuugh, I had to tell them to run it again. After getting the room there was no direction give on how to get to the room. (like where the elevators were). I asked about the pool the front desk had no clue how long they were open. The elevator was boiling hot, the room was small.

My room was quiet and the AC worked. Can't understand why Wyndham hotels charge for internet.

I booked online and purchased a "Park & Stay" package, which was slightly more but a good value considering the OUTRAGEOUS price for parking your car overnight. When I arrived, I told the valet the name of the package, and they happliy took the car and parked it. Imagine my surprise when I checked out and noticed that they had charged me an additional 28 per night for parking!! (as well as the Park & Stay price.) The front desk personnel refused to do anything to rectify the problem, because they told me that package was only for "self-parking," not "valet parking." I was willing to meet them halfway for the misunderstaning, but they stated there was nothing they could do. I suggested that they tell their valet staff (which turned out to be independent of the hotel) about this so nobody else would be double-charged as I was. Other than this, the hotel was lovely and in an excellent location.

A fair choice. The hotel is well located near Bourbon St and many fine restaurants. The rooms are spacious and it is apparent that Wyndham has spent time and money trying to update the property. That being said, it is an old building and is still worn in areas. The guest room was adequate, but certainly not luxurious. The staff seemed friendly but I found myself preferring to spend time elsewhere. If you are traveling for a special occasion, there are nicer properties nearby.

Great location, nice clean rooms, comfy beds. Wireless charge is $10, Valet parking $27.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was a great pick. The location is right off of Bourbon St. and also Canal St. The price was excellent being so close to Bourbon St. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The bathroom was also great. We only had one problem wth the bathroom and once we called housekeeping the problem was fixed. The staff was helpful and friendly. Being so close to Bourbon there was one bar on the corner which stayed open late and played music loudly-but hey that's what Bourbon St. is all about. The hotel inside is very nice and quiet. Would definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

When we arrived we weren't greeted at all or helped with our bags. Next the front desk person was very blunt and unfriendly. She gave no information about the hotel or the area. We had to later call down and ask about the ammenities...which there are none!!! They advertised a pool bar which was never opened the entire week and a regular bar in the lobey which was only open when the hotel felt like opening and closing it. The hotel pool was supposed to close at 10pm but the staff would close it early and padlock the gate(whenever they wanted)even closing it an hour early. The hotel also charged for a continental breakfast and local phone calls, we had bugs in our bathroom, and no wi-fi. I really needed wi-fi for my grad school work. I am in a online program that requires constant attention and I could not access the internet in my room. My husband and I were very displeased with this hotel and would never suggest it to anyone.

Bathroom was large; had handrails. Television could not be turned to bed; if laying in bed had to watch at an angle. I was greeted very warmly. When I asked for directions a young man quickly got a map, walked with me to the door and pointed out exactly what he had shown me on the map. Overnight was quiet and peaceful; sometimes in New Orleans this isn't possible. Linens were fresh; instructions for helping the hotel go green were discreetly located. I am always happy to see that type of intent in a public establishment. Checkout was really easy!

Stayed at this hotel during nba allstar weekend. We got a great deal (in comparison to other area hotels this weekend) at the last moment. While we didn't get to use the pool, it looked clean and nice. Our room was huge! We were extremely suprised and grateful. These rooms are like suites as far as size and the beds are super comfortable. Didn't miss a night's sleep, although we weren't in the room that often. Located right down the street from Bourbon and Canal, it's in walking distance to everything. We even walked to the convention center nd watched everyone else sit in traffic. The employees are friendly and the front desk ladies are very easy on the eye (namely Tenille, wink wink). The only problem was not enough pressure from the shower and the bathroom clogged up halfway through our stay. But I notified the concierge before leaving for the day and when we returned the problem was fixed! Can't say enough about our confort level here. I WILL be staying at Chateau for Essencefest this year! By the way, The Clock bar is a great way to unwind. And their happy hour is unique (buy 1 beer, get a free Martell cognac).

The location was the main draw, footsteps from Bourbon, across the street from the Alibi which is open 24/7 offering drinks and food. Service was fine - no complaints. Hallways and room were both a bit smelly - like mildew; but it wasn't enough to make a bad experience. The room was nice and big but is in need aof a bit of a makeover, bed linens were old and scratchy and decor was dated with ugly decor. This was once and could still be one of the great hotels of NOLA with just a bit of sprucing up.

Great location and staff went above and beyond for anniversary. Room was great, service was great and best of all the price was also great. No way you could beat that.

Classy, great location. Nothing, it was all good. Wonderful, old hotel, beautifully restored, with huge rooms and 12 feet ceilings. On Bourbon street and Canal, great location, but somehow quiet inside. Parking garage across the St for $25.

The hotel was beautiful - rooms, lobby, and especially the courtyard. Our room was on the 2nd floor opening out to courtyard. Surprising elegance in an unattractive setting. The location was very convenient to walking in the French Quarter and beyond. The attached Red Fish Grill restaurant was fantastic. Only negative is the parking ramp - */day charge plus not many spaces available to hotel guests. We stayed 5 nights and loved every minute of it.

Near everything you wont need a car. Noisy on a Sat night but you are one block from bourbon what can you expect. We enjoyed ourselves and were very comfy.

Great location! The only drawback was the temperature of hotel. The guest room finally cooled off after 30 minutes waving our arms trying to activate the motion sensors.
