Has a movie theater! Room was well appointed, but a bit small. Beautifully restored, independent hotel in St. Louis' central west end. Restaurant is great, innovative dishes and really delicious. Lots of amenities, courteous staff, and the smell of popcorn from the movie theater wafts through the lobby all day.

Live band plays on Fridays and Saturdays in bar/pool area until 1:00 a.m. Reverberating base made it extremely hard to sleep. Called front desk which advised this was a hotel tradition and couldn't do anything about it. Overall room was spacious and well appointed. Mini-bar/fridge which was available for a price had someone else's leftover food in it. Robes in closet were missing - only concern there was being charged for it. Conference facilities were fine. Nice part of the city. Unfortunately loud nightlife going on in the hotel until wee hours preclude us from recommending to others unless you're a party person.

Enjoyed the Zoo in Forest Park right across from the hotel. Great Crepe place around the corner. Pool is great. Bar did play loud music that could be heard from our pool view room until past 1am on Friday and Saturday. Couldn't ask to be in a better neighborhood.

The decor was lovely, both in the common areas and in the guest room. The lamp by the bed was broken. Parking was expensive!

Everything about this hotel was more than satifactory for us. It was easy to find. The service was excellent from the minute we arrived to the time we left. It's a beautiful hotel in a great location. The Restaurant is one of our favorites and I highly recommend "The Chef's Tastings". The rooms are clean, roomy and very comfortable. Only thing I would suggest is free wireless connection. If you are looking for a great place to relax this is the place. You do not even have to leave the hotel to have a good time. There is a marvelous theater located in the hotel and a live band in the bar. On our last visit the weather was nice enough to visit with friends on the patio next to a inviting fireplace. We had a great time. We will definitely be back our next trip to St Louis in June. This was our 3rd stay and I cannot complain about thing.

Great staff and great location

I liked the local area eateries and shops. The room was dusty and the air conditioning didn't work very good. This is a beautiful hotel with a very professional and serving staff. We did have a problem with the air conditioning not working right so the hotel took $75.00 off our bill. We loved being able to walk to the local area eateries and shops. The restaurants and bars in the Hotel are very nice and the food and drinks excellent. The room was clean but could of used a little more dusting. We did enjoy our stay.

"The Chase was fantastic! Located in the Central West End the Chase offered access to an entire street full of nice restaurants, bars, and Forest Park, one of St Louis's great attractions. The staff was very welcoming and tended to our every need. The hotel also has a nice pool, fitness center, spa, barber shop, and access to a number of other services. The rooms were very large with a sitting area, and bedroom, two TVs and a spacious bathroom."

Close to Washington University in St. Louis. The staff was very helpful. The Sunday breakfast in the cafe was not very good; there were fleas on the fruit platter on the buffet.

Much like hotels of the past. Felt like a respected guest. No "smoking" rooms available One of the grand hotels of St. Louis, recently renovated. Growing up in St. Louis, I think it part of the historical psyche of folks who couldn't afford to stay there in their younger years. Exceeded my expectations.

The Hotel lobby is gorgeous and the hotel has lots of amenities, but the suite we stayed in had a terrible view and the decor and furniture was unimpressive. I love old hotels, but for the price, the rooms lacked the charm of most older hotels that have been redone.

The Chase Park Plaza provided a home away from home. The one bedroom suite was bigger then imagined and for only a slightly more a day then a deluxe room I got more then double the space! My sister and niece stayed with me and the staff was very accommodating when we needed extra sheets at midnight. The only drawback of the room was if there were a bigger vanity in the bathroom but other then that I loved the room. The pool was beautiful, not particularly kid friendly, and I couldn't wait to dive into the crisp cool water. The location was perfect for what I needed on my trip and I could walk to nearby restaurants, cafes, supermarket and local shopping. I had a family emergency and needed to extend my stay as well as bring over a family member and the staff was very accommodating to find adjoining rooms and hold them for me.

Nice size room, kitchenette, lots closet space. Construction noise at 8 am, poor TV reception, restaurant. Great size room (suite) with kitchenette suitable for long term stay, construction noise started at 8 am constant pounding, they said bathrooms being enlarged. Two other people in restaurant for breakfast, yet slow service. Television was 1980's vintage and poor reception, limited channels. Not up to snuff for four star.

"I really think this hotel needs to focus more on their guests. This hotel is a multi-use hotel with several locations for dining, conferences, entertaining, and even includes a movie theater. It's very large and it's easy for a guest to be unnoticed by the staff. I also thought that safety was an issue because there is several ways to get into the hotel. The room itself was nice but small. The bed was too close to the door, so noise was a big problem. I would not stay here again. "

The Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis was wonderful. We had a suite that had a bedroom, bathroom, and living area. The living area had a couch, table and chairs, desk with internet access and tv. The king size bed was very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly

The room could have been a bit larger. It consisted of a bathroom and queen bed with a flat screen TV for me. Nice clean upscale bathroom too however if you like a little space to spread out in your room then you will be a little claustrophobic. Perhaps upgrade to a suite. Other then that I have to say that the place had great restaurants, great service, a movie theater and more! All in the heart of the Central West End, for location it doesnt get any better then this. Also know I was traveling alone and felt very comfortable and safe. Thumbs up for the Chase from me!

The common areas were rather grand and our room, actually a suite, was huge. The bathroom was not large or up to date but that was outweighed by the other positrives. And we really liked staying in the Central West End. we could walk to a different interesting place for dinner every night, and there was a great crepe place around the corner for breakfast. It was a very lively scene at night. The only problems were that the hotel self-park garage was under construction and somewhat incovenient and the closest metro stop was quite a hike.

My wife and I were in St. Louis for our friends wedding and we were also celebrating our anniversary. The suite we were in was quite nice. We enjoyed our 1 year.
